The most interesting point to make about Adam Matthews is that, for another month anyway, he is still a teenager. You and I have seen enough of these games to know that the occasion has a habit of consuming inexperienced youth but Adam patrolled Celtic’s right with remarkable authority last night. All the more remarkable considering this was his first game back after injury.
Football business for 2011 is finished and new signing, Swedish international right back, Mikael Lustig (25), is now available for selection. At 6’3” Mikael has previously played in central defence but Neil Lennon insisted the player was primarily recruited as a right back but, despite the rate Celtic right backs pick up injuries, the need appears greater in central defence. It’s hard to see Adam Matthews losing the right back berth.

Just watched the full second half again. Our defence especially Matthews and Ledley were brilliant.
The stats with Ledley in our team and wins are amazing.

Would sign Cuellar in a heart beat given the chance. He has only 6 months left on his contract, so would be cheap to buy now. Only problems would be wages, but I’m sure a cut from £30k a week to £20k could be something worth looking at.

First week at Uni – mid 1980s..
got ‘boats with some new mates (fellow freshers) from Halls – decided to hit the town…been living in Nairn since I was 15 – so a wee bit niaive..
get in a taxi ask the driver to take us to ‘somewhere decent’ (big plans to go scouting for girls)…driver drops us off at ‘interesting’ place with a smile – me and the new mates order up beers – takes about an hour before we realise all the guys are really friendly but no girls chatting to us..
my first visit to Bennets…there were more (but always with the now wife) and always on Tuesday nights..
