Tests for agricultural fields of Lanarkshire

750

Efe Ambrose is quite rightly receiving praise for an impressive debut on Tuesday but these are still early days, our comrades from Fife didn’t present a great challenge.  Berman Kayal also put in a sold shift and, for the record, I’ve been more impressed by him than the even more lauded Victor Wanyama, when both have been on top form, but I would not consider either for a start in Moscow.

With five days until we play Spartak it was more important we saw Joe Ledley, if only briefly.  Joe will need 90 minutes on Saturday.  Even if he gets this he might still be short of fitness for the Champions League.  The most important result from Saturday will hopefully be Georgios Samaras coming through 90 minutes without incident.

Along with Scott Brown, Georgios is one of only two players with Champions League experience prior to this season.  He was also absolutely critical in Celtic breezing through the qualifiers.  Fir Park is a tight, agricultural, field compared to the expansive artificial surface of the Luzhniki, but it will be a good proving ground for anyone hoping to impress Neil Lennon with their fitness.

John Terry was never with Leeds.

He joined Chelsea as a youth from West Ham, and was briefly on loan with Nottm Forest some 12 years ago.

He is a racist philandering thug ‘tho.

    HH!!

  2. Ten Men

Maybe cos their skin color is the same :>)

I think it was more that Cole was on Terry’s side than racist, it’s hard tocall a person of the same skin color, a black whatever, and it be deemed racisist if you are of the same color.

  3. Could someone tell me how many Chelsea players came forward and said he wasn’t a racist? I will give you a clue – the same number of trophies Zombie fc have won

Pardew agent has done a job there, however I would expect there to be clauses which means the contract can be terminated if certain targets are not met. NO?

  4. Indeed,Kojo….

Folk like Terry need to “learn” their place in Oor Multi-Culti Wonderland….

He must content himself with his ‘status’ as a Fourth Class Citizen of these ‘Sceptred Isles’….

And not appear envious of the ‘Plastic Paddies’ in our midst….

Who after all….only just manage to ‘squeeze’ into the Third Class category themselves….

Yer Pal….Who thinks yer smairter than ‘Whiskas’….

Interesting. Maybe SFADaryll would tweet back if the Green Brigade had made a banner about it.

  6. Rangers Tax-Case‏@rangerstaxcase

For the lazy hacks SPL rule D1.13 says “and all other agreements providing for payment” must be declared to SPL. This didn’t happen.

The following is comments from the disciplinary committee after Ferdinand was found guilty

“The commission decided that the comment was improper and brought the game into disrepute. In addition, the commission found that the breach included a reference to ethnic origin, colour or race.”

The following comments from Terry’s case after he was found guilty

“The FA charged Terry in July with “using abusive and/or insulting words and/or behaviour towards Ferdinand and which included a reference to colour and/or race contrary to FA Rule E3.2”

It seems as though it is one rule for Ferdinand and another for Terry

Alex Rae is still unbeknowns if signing an application for a tax-free loan that he understands he will never have to pay back constitutes such an agreement. Can anyone clarify for him?

Alex Rae: your.side letter promised payments and appearance money for.playing for RFC. Those payments were not declared to the SFA/SPL.

    Again I have to disagree.

Ferdinand is the same skin color, Terry is not.

Ferdinand was up on a disrepute charge, Terry a racisism charge.

So nothing wrong with either charge.

  13. I wonder, it could be interesting if come monday one of us were to pass a recording of last nights game and a recording of saturdays upcoming fixture of Motherwell v celtic to a reputable academic sports department for their comparison of tactics of the respective teams, performance of players and refereeing standards. given what we suspect it could prove interesting….

Imo, one of the best presents you could buy for any lover of rock.

  19. The free kick count of M/well against us in the first half of a game was 36 against the deadclub in the same season it was in single figures.

Jim McLean once famously said after his team lost to a certain Glasgow outfit

“A friend’s gain is no loss”.

I’ve just watched Stuart McCall’s post-match interview with the BBC and oh how the years rolled back.

    Hail Hail

  22. “But it wsn’t a bad result for Celtic either, seeing as Glasgow hasn’t had a team in the group stage of the Champions League for the last four years. They’ve got a group of youngsters who don’t have the required experience for the competition.”

Agent McGeady doing his bit for the cause. You keeping letting your team mates think we are pash.

  23. If Elbows were to be banned for a typically thuggish use of the elbow, would that cover league games or cup ones only?

I seem to remember that violent conduct bands come into force immediately for all games – is that right?

  24. Ten Men

    Ok :>)

If it wasn’t for the likes of Paul, Phil, RTC and a few others, we would have been playing the huns last week.

I honestly don’t know how these charlatans can call themselfs jurnos.

  25. Good afternoon everyone!

    Where do I begin???

Firstly sorry im only getting on here now- as im sure most of you will know our lives are just unbelievably busy right now. It is literally 100mph from morning to night. Our house is a complete mess. I have a to-do list the length of my street and it keeps getting longer! There are just not enough hours in the day- but I had to find time to come on here and say something. I just wish i’d done it sooner.

Saturday was a very special day in my life. I flew over to Glasgow on Saturday morning with a couple of friends to join the Green Bucket Army in collecting for my amazing little boy. And what a day it was. I will never ever forget the generosity of the fans as they literally loaded handfuls of money into the buckets! And it wasnt only coins- note after note after note went in. It was incredible! It was like nothing else i’ve experienced in this whole fundraising campaign. A massive MASSIVE thank you to every single one of you who donated towards the staggering total of almost £32,000! Simply unbelievable!!

Thank you to the army of volunteers who turned out to help with the collection. The fact that there were approx 200 people out there all giving up their time for Oscar says a lot about the Celtic supporters. All i can say is WOW!

Thanks also to the ‘WAGS’ Lisa, Debbie and Alana for coming out to help on the day, what a nice bunch of girls eh?? Where else would you get it? Lisa in particular has been amazing. Thanks so much for all you’ve done and are continuing to do!

It was great to finally meet some fellow CQNers, most notably the absolutely fantastic Bundoran Bhoy and Celticrollercoaster who have done so so much for our little guy. I know you dont seek the praise or the thanks but we can honestly never ever thank you enough for the effort you guys and the rest of the Wee Oscar 4 Life team have put in. It is a testament to yourselves as people. You should be very, very proud of yourselves. To pull that off in such an organised manner was amazing. Well done!

Thanks to Gerry who sorted me and my two friends out with executive lounge passes!! What nice comfy seats LOL. And the free grub at halftime was a nice surprise!!

I have never been more proud to be a Celtic fan than I was on Saturday.

The little man himself is doing really well. He started radiotherapy on his liver last Monday. He has it every morning Mon – Fri last week, this week and next week. It is essential he doesnt move during the treatment so he gets a general anaesthetic to put him to sleep every morning. The funny thing is he looks forward to it! Such a great spirited little fella! The treatment is making him tired, and he is eating less but hopefully it doesnt hurt him any more than that. He complains of a few abdominal pains but the doctors dont think its radiotherapy linked. I sincerely hope not!!

Radiotherapy finishes next friday, then its into the big unknown. He will need a week or two for recovery but after that we need to get him this Immunotherapy- the primary reason for the fundraising. We are well on our way to the £250k target and we are so relieved. Saturday lifted one of several big weights off our shoulders. It brought us well up over the £200k mark and with plenty more events in the pipeline it felt like we were in the home straight. All the hard work, the constant exhaustion, not even having time to eat- it has been worth it! Thank you all for helping us get this far. You really are the best fans in the world!

Stephen and Leona- and wee Oscar & Isobella of course!!!

  26. Watched second half of Motherwell game. In the peroid Rangers got into the ascendency I cried out foul three or four times when Motherwell were on the attack.

Had the foul been given Rangers would have been on the defensive. Instead they went on the offense against a team going forward.

That is where refereees can influence in an insidious fashion the final result.

Ask yourself this. If a referee shares the same views of the SFA and Msm that Scottish Football NEEDS a successful Rangers how are they to separate their own self interest from that belief?

The answer is they cannot. And therein lies the source of corruption – the inability of human nature to rise above itself and fear less.

  29. Matchfixing,financial doping,thuggery,cheating,lying,covering-up,money laundering….

    where will it all end?

With the sound of a whistling wind up the alley.

For it has been decreed that the mafia style of the hun is the way forward, as the greatest criminal club in the world of football (with a nod to the original ‘azzuri’ in bella Italia) are just what Scotland needs to represent football in this gloriously absmal 21st. Century.

  30. Did the BBC not plan any kind of follow up to their dual-contract documentary from a few months ago? I thought it was made clear at the time that they had a lot more material to bring to light. Anyone know if the journo put anything else together that is, perhaps, sitting on the shelf awaiting the HMRC verdict.
