What a rascal that Neil Lennon is, laughing off interest in Amido Balde while leading us all down the Kevin Doyle road last week, then Amido pitches up at Celtic Park, complete with obligatory Celtic scarf, before heading for some scans and time plugged -up with on the running machine today.
Amido’s road to Celtic Park has not been straight. He was released by Sporting Lisbon last year without kicking a ball for them, but he has spent a year in a competitive league playing against some Champions League defences, so Celtic will have a fair idea of what kind of player he is.
Does he have the technique? Does he have the physique? Does he have the temperament? John Park and the scouts will have given Neil Lennon lots of information on these elements of Amido, so there should be no surprises.
This is even more true of Balde than of last season’s twin striking signings, Lassad and Miku (trivia question of the future, Who led the line for Celtic when they beat Barcelona in 2012?). Both arrived in the final days of the window, with options expiring all around and beggars choosing.
As always, the most important hope for any transfer window is that the manager and scouts get their first choices. That assured, we’ll do alright.

I think celtic should first of all tell us how they voted
perhaps they voted against Ogilvie
IF they voted in his favour, I think they have some explaining to do
if “as we are claiming” we are the only show in town, then we should be acting like it
but like I have said all week, we should speak out with or without the backing of the club. a start IMO would be a boycott of the league cup and Scottish cup ties.
it shouldn’t be too difficult since hardly anyone goes anyways and it would greatly publicise our position and force people in the media to talk about it, and stop hiding behind some alleged fear of court action.
time for change-when the guns are eventually trained (i know i know) on Ogilvie,he will be on a Business Class flight to Nyon,along with Taylor and Dallas.

Ever since I can remember we’ve faced hostility, deception and cheating on a grand scale.
Now I would hope like most Tims that Celtic have in no way been complicit in the re-election of a Hun bigot who so openly stands against who and what we represent.
However, for me it’s not a ‘deal braker’ as some on here are suggesting.
So long as there’s a team playing in green and white in the east end of Glasgow next season we should be supporting them when possible.

So Ogilvie is still in place. The reaction of several Celtic supporters is to withdraw their support. Is that right ? Can’t be right ? No evidence that the club were complicit but the knee-jerk reaction is to penalise who ? Our enemies ?………Nope it’s attack our own club ! Who needs enemies ?

Couldnt give a brown brogue about ogilvie as i think he and his cabal in the sfa will be caught in Charlotte’s Web..as was said earlier he is in position to be taken down and hopefully out and i think our club know this.these people have tried since our club was formed to bring controversy in different guises to our door and we are still here!after Fergus and our supporters battled to keep us alive in ’94 we have rebuilt our club and invested well to meet the nessesary demands..and we are still here!in three days time a certain klan will be reminded of what happened to their sorry club a year ago on that date…where would you rather be???
The gift will keep giving of that i’m very sure..we have celebrated our 125year in style by a tremendus run in europe..we won our league and cup and are the most successfull team in scotland and one of the biggest clubs in europe..stick your chest out and hold your head up high and be proud to be A Celtic supporter…hail hail to ten in a row!!
