Credit to STV, who at least called Uefa to ask what was going on, and got a taste of the correspondence, with the carefully chosen words, “Rangers’ three-year exclusion from playing in Europe after going into liquidation was the major factor in a case not being pursued”.
Uefa’s correspondence to the Requistioners was far more explicit on the new club/same club point, and took no cognisance of other matters (5-way Agreement, anyone?).
It’s remarkable (and a credit to all involved) that Uefa responded to the Resolution 12 questions over two weeks ago but news didn’t leak. It’s simply not been possible for the guys to comment while matters progress, and despite yesterday’s ‘news’, they have avoided the temptation to fire off a response (others have also felt it imprudent to step into a public debate) for what remains an issue under legal guidance.
I know the lack of public information is frustrating (as is the associated flack, b.t.w.), but my best recommendation is that we let them get on with it.

At the 4 4 game at Ibrox in 1986 , there was a banner unfurled at the side of the main stand we used to get there. It said Ulster says no but the man from Del Monte he say yes.
Efe’s mistake v Fenerbahce last season cost us their first goal in a 2-2 draw when we were 2-0 up.
He has also cost us one or two penalties at crucial times in Europe.
I like the guy but he’s not what we want going forward.

Sorry – just came back on and saw your post.
Don’t remember exactly all the different formations he used at Liverpool, but did have a 3-4-3 during a period of the season they nearly won the league. Suarez, Sturridge and Sterling up front. I think they didn’t have natural wide midfielders so he used wing-backs.
I remember he had the diamond for a while too (Gerrard at the base). Maybe after Suarez had left?
I think he used 4-3-3 at Swansea – Graham centre forward and I think Sinclair and maybe Routledge wide.
So he definitely varies it a bit – possibly down to the players he has or maybe sometimes the opposition.
I was wondering about maybe Bitton sitting, with Brown and McGregor just ahead. A front three of Rogic, Griffiths, Roberts. But if Armstrong could get his confidence and form back there could be a place for him.
Anyway, plenty of options to vary it a bit. Obviously could be some ins and outs too.

The format of Euro 16 might be having exactly the opposite effect o the one hoped for. Third placed teams qualifying appears to be introducing caution rather than attacking football. There hasn’t really been a great game yet.
I’ll be happy when the groups are over and we get to knock out. Hopefully there will be more excitement then.
