Time for expensive signings, the 1254125 10k

1606

Motherwell travel to Celtic Park tomorrow on a mission.  A win would see them draw level with Celtic, and after a physically and mentally draining Champions League midweek game, they will fancy their chances.  Inverness remain top of the league on goal difference, but this is the third consecutive season Motherwell have tucked in below Celtic.  They will not finish above Celtic, of course, but this is likely to be our toughest test of the season.

As well as the result, there should be other objectives from tomorrow’s game.  We are eight games into our European campaign but our two most expensive summer signings, Teemu Pukki and Derk Boerrigter, and still to settle into the team.  Both should start against Motherwell.

For reasons you know too well, I thought it would be a good idea to do the Great Scottish Run on Sunday in aid of 1254125.  I have (just) setup a Mydonate page, if you have been unable to participate in any event so far, you can do so online now.

Many thanks for your support.

    Dead on Sidney,whatever you say.

Don’t know how many goalscorers we have at the club.

We scored two goals the day,two different players scored them.

So we have at least two goalscorers,at a conservative estimate.

  2. You have to ask your self a question

Who on earth is scoring these forwards that have cost 5m

1st player Has the balance of an elephant wearing Skates

2nd player. Hid in games and doesn’t score goals

What are they seeing that makes us spend nearly all our only goalscorers transfer fee on them?

    Yes Sidney,you are correct.

We,at this moment in time do not have two twenty five goal strikers…probably only because the season is still early.

  12. Paul67 ,

sad news about St John Doyle /George Ryan . I chatted with him today at the game – he was his normal , Celtic -enthused self .

I can’t quite believe he has gone – he was a great champion for the oppressed and stood up for the GB and Celtic.

HH George – i hope your family take strength from the memories.

    RIP

  13. Gutted to hear about the passing of George Ryan.

I had the pleasure of meeting George about a year ago after he made contact with me through this blog. From this meeting onwards he was a great help to those fans in 111 who were under pressure from the police and latterly some elements within the club.

Nothing was too much trouble and he went out of his way on numerous occasions to help.

    Very sad day.

    RIP George
