Motherwell travel to Celtic Park tomorrow on a mission. A win would see them draw level with Celtic, and after a physically and mentally draining Champions League midweek game, they will fancy their chances. Inverness remain top of the league on goal difference, but this is the third consecutive season Motherwell have tucked in below Celtic. They will not finish above Celtic, of course, but this is likely to be our toughest test of the season.
As well as the result, there should be other objectives from tomorrow’s game. We are eight games into our European campaign but our two most expensive summer signings, Teemu Pukki and Derk Boerrigter, and still to settle into the team. Both should start against Motherwell.
For reasons you know too well, I thought it would be a good idea to do the Great Scottish Run on Sunday in aid of 1254125. I have (just) setup a Mydonate page, if you have been unable to participate in any event so far, you can do so online now.
Many thanks for your support.

Been waiting impatiently to see the goals.
Thanks,mate.
My thoughts & prayers with George, his family & friends.

Cowiebhoy, thoughts with you, your friend and family
The Lasley tackle was fair as he got the ball but he definitely went with intent of man and ball.
He and many like him are ruining Scottish football and until referees align themselves with the modern game we will never improve.
Allowing brutality in the guise of toughness has lessened the chances of skilled players making it in Scotland.
In Epl you often see guys get called for fouls even though they got the ball first.Commentators always say foul given because of follow through that got the man.
That type of foul is rarely given here.
We are often victims of this robust approach due to refs leniency to our opponents and sometimes their downright bias.

Just sorted out all my things for tomorrow morning’s 10K and thought I’d have a quick look into the ole CQN for a wee but of banter before my early night.
Absolutely shattered to hear the news that we have lost St John Doyle. Met him for the first time last Saturday and spent 20 or so very enjoyable minutes chatting away to him in Bar67. From our first few exchanges I thought “what another great CQN’r”. Can’t believe the news. Tragic indeed. May he rest in peace.
Signing off…

Jobo, good luck for tomorrow mhate.
Enjoy it, I don’t know if this is the first of these you’ve done, but they are a great experience, the crowds will keep you inspired all the way around.

Totally agree with you prognosis.
The Scottish game in the past was hard but fair, nowadays it’s cynical and calculated.
Souness to me started it off…firstly with his tackle with his first game at hibs… And then brought known thugs of football in and told them…it’s ok you will get away with it up here, we the have it covered.
It’s time to let talented players play the game…The way it was intended to be played.
(I know I said I was signing out but just before I retire…)
Doc –
you too.
In my youth I managed 2 Glasgow Marathon’s and I’ve done quite a few half marathon’s in my time. But not for about 8 or 9 years. As long as my dodgy calf holds out I should be fine for completing tomorrow, hopefully under 50 minutes.
I’ll watch for you on the BBC2 coverage and assume you’ll be in the green t-shirt? What time are you hoping for?

Was in No 7 today with the family (Great Day)
Pukki will not go for a 60/40 tackle in his favour
Balde on the other hand is like the rodeo clown (put him on for some entertainment value)
LOve
Sipsini
It is all George McCluskey’s fault for being a Tim.
Pfayr and TSOAL
Agree about Stokes. He made one very good defensive play and scored a brilliant goal.
But his anticipation and all round team play was woeful. On numerous occasion’s he either did not continue the run or else took the wrong option.
On Pukki I don’t see where the shitbag label comes from but he looks like heb needs a partner to play off and Stokes does not seem like one.
Still early days though so won’t write off yet.
Our ponderous build up to me is still the main problem to me.
On numerous occasions today both Efe and Virgil made great forward runs then had to check as there was no options ahead of them.
Stokes drifted left and Pukki backwards so with our mids holdin position there was not a single forward option.
Jobo, yes the green at-shirt I’d ready, number 2405, under 2hrs, really under 1hr50-1hr55.
And of course my CQN badge, running down Paisley Road West, twice, so I expect a reaction:-)
A different course this year, so I don’t know what affect that will have.
Good luck and I’ll catch up with how you and Paul67, and any other CQN runners do tomorrow.
