Motherwell travel to Celtic Park tomorrow on a mission. A win would see them draw level with Celtic, and after a physically and mentally draining Champions League midweek game, they will fancy their chances. Inverness remain top of the league on goal difference, but this is the third consecutive season Motherwell have tucked in below Celtic. They will not finish above Celtic, of course, but this is likely to be our toughest test of the season.
As well as the result, there should be other objectives from tomorrow’s game. We are eight games into our European campaign but our two most expensive summer signings, Teemu Pukki and Derk Boerrigter, and still to settle into the team. Both should start against Motherwell.
For reasons you know too well, I thought it would be a good idea to do the Great Scottish Run on Sunday in aid of 1254125. I have (just) setup a Mydonate page, if you have been unable to participate in any event so far, you can do so online now.
Many thanks for your support.

You can see clips of Nunez and The Chieftains doing this live on stage, but the album version here is much better, as it has the crowd singing in the pub where it was recorded, in lovely harmony.

His hide and seek routine against Morton was a cause for concern …he’s been poor since
He has received some hefty plaudits on here…..I haven’t seen anything to get excited about ( hope I’m wrong)
Shocked and saddend to hear the news tonight
RIP George
If you are out on the course of the Half Marathon and see a wee Lhad, with a bit of a pudge, and you think, he’ll never get round this!
Give me a shout:-)

Good night CQN.
RIP George
Delaneys dunky
I also hope your wrong .
Still early days to judge him.
The shock of having to deal with a new set of refereeing rules will take adjustment.
He does not look like a guy who takes players on one to one but has good awareness so requires team mates to pass and move.
This is a cause for concern as we are very slow and deliberate in the pass allowing opponents time to guard the recipient and our movement is very poor.
Maybe he will rub off on his team mates?
I actually think Neil see’s Balde and him as our forward partnership as Pukki seems suited to playing off a target man.
Sorry to read the sad news Bhoys, Take care. Thoughts and Prayers.
KLV
Very sad news about George Ryan…..thoughts and prayers with his family…
St. John Doyle – rest in peace. Condolences to his family.
Good luck to those of you running tomorrow.
Pf Ayr, delaneys. I use to live in Germany. Still good a few mates there. One of them who I was in seville with watches German football and seen pukki a few Times
His comments when we were linked with him was he vanishes in games and is no very good and doesn’t score goals
We sign him for 2.9m and try to make him a different player when we need a goal scorer , he wasn’t what Neil wanted Play him. Keep him fit and punt him ASAP he isn’t a project
Balde is a project though and needs time
Transfer window opens in jan. We have oudels of cash
Give a new goal scorer 6 months to bed in before CL qualifiers
No excuses and no more pukki’s
Do not post often, but thought I would come in and wish Paul 67 and others, good luck in their efforts pounding the streets round Glasgow tomorrow.
Did a bit of running in the 80s and early 90s,but did my achilles damage, and never really started it again.
Thoughts and prayers with St John Doyles family and friends, did not no him.but will remember him in my prayers at Mass tomorrow.
Some one said to me the other day,you never no the moment,me I just live for every day.

I would go for Billy McKay fae ICT. He looks like Dixie Deans to me.
Extremely saddened to read about the death of George Ryan. I met George for the first time last Saturday at the hootenanny in bar 67 and shared a few bevies with him. We joked about him cancelling my fine for driving in a bus lane on the way to my hotel and had more than a few laughs.
A lovely big fella. Condolences to Georges family and all hew knew him.

I am so looking forward to you eating your words regarding Teemu.
Lots of words
All negative
as per
Heard the news earlier about my friend of fifteen years, George Ryan, one of the best people I’ve ever had the pleasure to know. An ally, a friend, a comrade, an inspiration, a guide in one of the toughest times I’ve ever had, a guy who got me out from under on one awful occasion and who always had my back.
Loyal, and staunch, from the first time I met him, George Ryan was one of the guys I counted out, one of the guys I really trusted.
Politics is a bad business, and full of wee personality cults. I never much went in for those, but George Ryan was a man I would have followed to Hell, and he was one of the Good Guys. A genuine leader, and a man of great integrity and decency.
He will be missed, and mourned, by all of those who, like me, he inspired and pushed along their respective tracks. He is one of the seven people I dedicated my novel Believers to, for the role he played in my life.
I will miss you mate. Love and respect, comrade.
Rest in Peace.
Condolences to St John Doyle’s family and friends on their sudden sad loss.
RIP
On mere football matters – today was very good given the exertions of Tuesday
When AB and NB get fully integrated in to the team and way of playing we will have a very powerful unit that will hand out a few right good hidings to teams.
We are playing far better in the league than we were this time last year
The two CBs are worth the admission money alone!

Screw you guys i’m outta here

I have been saying this since the 1st time I saw him.He is not a striker. He looks unhappy at having to try and play like one.He is a “In the hole”player.A good striker to play off and to is what he needs.
Big Balde could be used more.Lukaku scored a goal very similar to Baldes against Liverpool today, and it was being hailed as world class.

So you think that Amido should Get Mair Air Time?
Sodie Ah..
So.. let me see…
That Makes…. Hmmmmmmmmmmm..,
Two o’ Us!
Hardly enuff tae start a Quorum.. but…
It’s A Start… Ain’t it?
Did ye notice.. When McManus Clashed wi Amido.. Late oan, shortly after Amido entered the field of Combat..
It Wiz MCMANUS who Fell ..and Lay Prone oan the Earth.. as if he wiz Pole-Axed( He did?… Geez, Ah Alwiz Thought the Amido wiz Portuguese!)
McManus wiz totally wasted.
Ah reckon that the Ref Musta Took Pity oan Poor McManus , fur he Issued a foul Agin Amido.. Much taz Amido’s Surpise.
Yes.. It wiz surely a Most Unusual Circumstance that We and The Ref had Witnessed..
A Celtic Striker, actually.. Downing a Motherwell Defender.. by simply letting the Motherwell Player, Bounce aff him!
Ah tell Ye .. Amido.is Indestructible..
He is Made Fae..
Anti-Matter.. Well so it wid Appear!
Ah thought he wiz made of Caoutchouc,
Howevahhhhhh…
Nutsy, Who knows aloat aboot these things..
Proclained.. ” Na.. Amido ,is no Made of Rubber, Kojo.. Amido is Made Frum
Anti- Matter!”
Tae which Ah sagely Nodded Ma Heid ,in Agreement..
Pretendin’ that Ah knew whit the Heligoland, Nutsy, wiz talkin’ aboot!
Celtic, hiv noo goat A Striker.. who Not only kin Score Goals , but he Kin
Smite his Enemies.. Hip and Thigh!
Which is Soitenly no the Kinda Striker ,which we hiv bin Blessed wi’ Lately.
Pukki, is easily Brushed aside by oor Enemies..and Stokesy is No a Big Guy ,eethur.. and Sammi.. well.. Sammi, his Strong Points..
But, Being Strong oan the Ba’ is No wan of Them.. as He
Frequently.. Fa’s Doon.. jist when his Run is getting Interesting.
Yep..
Ah Like Amido…and Ah want tae see Mair of Him
Especially , agin these S.P.L. Hackers.
Nice Chatting.

JF
Fine words indeed.
You did George proud.
whitecrook tim, thanks.
TTTT, he certainly is.
Delaney. Why not. As long as it’s under a million. To much money has been spent on overseas rubbish up front in last 4 years
Ritchie. Pukki will turn out to be the same player he has been over last 2 to 3 years. What are our scouts doing
God bless St John Doyle
Kojo. You have indeed got short term memory loss regarding McManus
He uses to get bashed and bullied by everyone over 5 foot when he played for us. :(((

16 roads How dare you put me down. Chatting to fellow Celtic fans about our team
How dare you
Just catching up and heard the sad news about St John Doyle.
Always admired the fact the man never hid who he was.
He was always up front about his position as a councillor.
To do that on a Celtic blog in this country speaks volumes about the man.
YNWA.
Good night all
Tell those close to you how much they mean to you and enjoy the moment.
Ohhhhhhhh
Yous lot are no a bad bunch either ,
