In his Q&A session with the Daily Record yesterday, outgoing SPFL chairman, Ralph Topping touched on the subject of who knew what when, regarding Rangers slide into liquidation saying:
“There wasn’t one single person ever who envisaged this case happening. You tell me who pointed out that this was going to happen – did you?
“The biggest assumption about the set-up in the SPL would be that you would have Rangers and Celtic playing in it in perpetuity – nobody thought that those two bastions of football would ever be involved in anything like this and nobody flagged it up.”
Well, in October 2011 I knew. This CQN article from 27 October 2011 notes in very specific detail Rangers were going to liquidate, a phoenix would be created which wanted direct access to the SPL (the top flight at that time). I got the timing wrong, predicting the phoenix would take place during the season, but to be fair, it later became clear this was Craig Whyte’s plan at the time.
Ralph Topping’s SPL knew too. Rangers alerted them to the situation that very month. The SPL spend November, December and January preparing the ground for Rangers administration and liquidation, a period during which a new TV deal was signed.

Was noticeable today that we are now producing academy players who are physically up for it.
Ralston.Miller and Hill all coped well in a physical game against a dirty team.
Ralston particularly is strong and with a little more growth will be a frightening opponent.
The composure of Eboue is impressive.
They were mince but was that because we were to fast and had to much movement and skill?
IT’s now obvious we have to many midfielders but would definitely keep McG,Armstrong ,Brown,Rogic,Kouassi.Nt’cham and Benyu.
Henderson and Bitton would be stars at many other clubs.

Tell you what it’s for, It’s for making Rosary beads, and copper wire is the bogs dollix, hence small lengths are fine, it’s the perfect hardness and it doesn’t tarnish nearly as quickly, unlike the commercial garbage from the US or China that costs arms and legs.
I also use galvanised wire for the [silver] ones, silver plate costs 20 times the price and tarnishes much quicker that the galvanised wire, it is also much harder so lasts much longer.

I haven’t checked the stats to see if this is or even can be borne out ….
but something I have been wondering about ….
does how well Celtic (and I would question many british teams) play depend on whether we are playing other british/irish teams, or continental teams …
my sense is that we seem to play best when matched up against british teams (even last year in the CL, arguably best games against Man City), but struggle when confronted with teams that play a more continental ball control style of game …
it seems like we are okay against british style teams, where the game is a bit more open, but struggle to break down continental teams who pack the defence, and then move the ball much more quickly in counter-attack …
I would go further and say that most british teams, even the better ones, struggle to replicate their EPL form when playing continental teams ….
it seems pretty clear to me that this is the case, but what has me confused is that most ‘english teams’ now are made up of foreign players, with foreign coaches … but, for the most part, the struggle seems to continue .. (although, there are some exceptions, like Pocchetino’s teams, I think, who seem to play/do the same in europe as they do at home)
anyways, just throwing it out there ….

I saw a Tweet earlier from this guy ‘Robinson’ stating that a Celtic supporter had been hit with a baseball bat and knocked unconscious outside the Off Licence where Robinson was selling his book.
Seems like a trap and a few lads went to the shop a fight started. Robinson’s folk pulled down the shutters stayed inside and the lads were set upon outside. The lad was knocked out and someone put a Union Jack pillow under his head and Robinson eventually came out with a camera when the Police arrived.
He was laughing and saying ‘How’s your mat?.’
It’s about getting publicity for a dreadful anti Islam book he’s involved in.
Robinson was wearing a Sevco top.

I see the record is running with a vid of that scumbag Robinson telling everyone that Celtic supporters attacked women and kids, I would have my doubts, but scum like that and the likes of the record never let the truth get in the way of attacking us, someone needs to sort him out.
