I know what you’re thinking. It’s Saturday, where’s Celtic’s trophy presentation? Last Saturday it was the Scottish Cup, a week earlier, the Premiership trophy. You can be forgiven for expecting the same today.
For me, the pick of last season’s trophies was the League Cup Final. Newco came into it in great form since the arrival of Mick Beale as manager. It was a test of his credentials and of Celtic’s. The dominance of the win belies the 2-1 scoreline, Celtic were miles ahead.
Speaking of dominance, it was rewarding to read that Barry Ferguson endorsed Celtic’s Generation of Domination in his Daily Record column. He wrote about our “decades of dominance”.
Although he goes on to say, “let’s be very, very clear. This dominance has to stop.” Back in the day (January 2005), I asserted our G.o.D. started in 2000, so we are now onto the third decade, if that’s how Barry likes to count them, out the second generation, if you prefer.
What was missing from Barry’s piece is any hope that things were going to change. Barry is not as daft as some make out.
Better a trophyless Saturday than a trophyless existence.

must be last season
For Farke sake; I can see the headlines now…
TB&F.
highlight of this season – MO’R’s pass for that jota goal
We have quite clearly opened this process up to allow any Tom, Dick or Harry to apply.
That’s lot of first stage interviewing for ole Nicholson….
Let’s get those final stages live on Celtic TV.
HH
Well to me me it looks like Enzo personally I am not keen on him what does everyone else think
I see Lawwell is over in Istanbul ,I hope it’s not to speak to the Manchester coach,if it is he should stay there.
Are we just a puppet for this city group?
What bothers me about the likes of Farke, Marsch and Hussenhatl is that their sides show a lot of defensive naivety – and that gets badly exposed in both the EPL and Champs League.
Might get away with it in Scotland but it’s a liability on a bigger stage – maybe Ange is about to find that out.
I have a season ticket at Brentford and the single most improved aspect of their play last season was their ability to defend – that’s been the difference between challenging for a minor European place and fighting relegation.
Daniel Farke would be a good choice for pun-based angry fan criticism of the manager..
I can just see the newspaper headlines when he gets sacked….. Daniel Off!!!
SFTB
I think it`s just Farke News.

From where does this clarity of yours come? Surely not because you believe the Scottish Media?

:-)))))))
We’ll just have to win the Champions League next year and beat Man City’s weak ended treble.
TURKEYBHOY
That link to the Shamrock Rovers manager was a joke posted on a fake website.

I also think you’re not keen on him.
Good evening all from the Vogue. It’s a hard life.
Possibly interviewed all the candidates already except except him. They are now asking permission to talk to him then make a decision once all candidates have been interviewed?
Doing things properly rather than the way spurs approached their new manager.

Link for the game tonight
Has everyone got sunburn on their typing finger?
I expect Man City to win tonight but Inter cannot be under-estimated.
I was never a fan of Inzaghi as a player, just by the times I seen him playing, It is some job he has done as Manager howevaah.
Let’s hope the Bhoys build on last Seasons CL progress, under the tutelage of whoever.
Put that ball in the net.
Stephen Bradley
.
Decent enough manager, has the Shamrock Rovers team playing lovely football (on track for 4 in a row)…However it would be too big a leap..Don’t think there’s anything in it at all
Petec 6.44pm
Inter manager is Simone not his more famous brother Filipi “Offside” Inzaghi … Simone played for Lazio and his more famous brother was the AC boy
As for the new manager …. who knows ?
I hope we keep most of the squad but again who knows
I know this much, Peter Lawell will not be allowed anywhere near the shower rooms in istanbul
Farke looks very similar to Ange, like an always in trouble wee brother.

Everyone makes mistakes, even me!!!
We are Blessed but also cursed being next to the EPL.
Who knows? Whats round the Little Jack Horner?
I Hope yer well Gerry Bhoy – I dinnae like Snooker but played against the wee man on probably the Worst Snooker table in Coatbridge. The Dumbarton CSC has plenty.
I’d Support a motion to Install Pool Tables – so much mair Bryan Gunn.
It’s not easy at all, at all to Win Trebles in this, IMO, Hostile Land.

Apologies .. I wasn’t trying to point out you thinking it was the Milan inaghi, anyway who cares about this European stuff unless the hoops are involved :-)
… all good here mate hope all is well with you… a bit gutted about the last 6 days but will console myself with the fact … treble in the bag, straight into the CL and punters like us …. we will never leave :-)
Sometimes I think Paul is trying to lead us on with his implied knowledge of the internal workings and decisions of the board.
RON BACARDI
Makes a big change from him being accused of having knowledge of the internal workings and decisions of the board.
GFTB,
I just wanted one more Season.

Being Brutally honest I quit the rave scene when Gabba took hold.
We urnae far away,.
TOM
Whatever
Petec7.45pm
I hear you … I wanted him to stay as well but … we move on … Celtic is our constant 🍀
Detroit Sonics are gonnae be, IMO, the real way.

i seen these characters Live in Saltcoats of All places.
We get even better.
We have been Brad Pitt in Europe.
Sort that.
Fuerza Inter
I think Inter will Win this.
Inter Milan have done very well in recent months, eleven victories from twelve, but I’d have given United a chance against them.
United are no City, ergo the Peps Eleven to bring the silver home in an historic treble.
Jack Grealish and Co to win in ninety minutes
Pep to join that immortal group which starts with Jock Stein
For those who think Scott Bain isn’t good enough to be 3rd choice keeper at Celtic- I see that City’s 3rd choice keeper tonight is Scott Carson- 37 who has played one match in the past 4 seasons while Inter field Alex Cordaz, a 40 year old who played once for Inter in 2019 and was only ever in Serie A for a couple of seasons with Crotone.
I think that should prove that too much fuss is being made about Celtic’s 3rd choice keeper.
