Two significant goals

729

Nir Bitton’s goal was special but two goals last night were more significant.  Leigh Griffiths header for the first belied the player’s height and stature.  His scoring record with his head in recent months has been spectacular, whether darting into space to nick the ball goal-wards, as he did away to Dundee and Dundee United, or when he uses his salmon-leap to get up and stay up.

When he was at Livingston Leigh was the next hot young thing.  For whatever reason his path to the top wasn’t straight, but he’s now first choice striker at Scotland’s top club and making the most of it.

James Forrest’s goal was also full of what we want to see from him.  One-on-one with a defender, with space to run into, he did what he needed to do.  His pace took him past the defender and turned an opportunity into great chance.

Several players are finishing the season strongly.

    Ho

Like many others, Friday night footie is not so simple to attend. I didn’t make it to the game last night as I was oot with a colleague’s retirement from many years of looking out for others, good tim too. Well done Anne Marie. Got home and watched the game……goal of the game must be Broonies and the celebration sooo sweet.

I see Callumnity is making sure that Sevco have an easy ride, still cant forgive him and his cabal for the embarrassing behaviour re Diouf and Boogerrah. No respect for himself he should have resigned then, not waited for his last fling at Tyncastle.

    Hibs now three up.

Great day can’t wait for DU game.

  6. Derby in the process of blowing their play off place. 0-2 at home to Reading, 10mins to go, they need a draw.

Wonder if Johnny Russell & Jeff Hendrick are looking for a move in the summer?

  11. Regardless of who I don’t like o thought Hibs and hearts coming up would be best in terms of quality of footie played.

Now I’m thinking Hibs and QoS the better option. Jambos have been rank today.

i shouldnt be suprised , but the chat on clyde about why rangers should be allowed to let their sb holders in for free, to the play off games is just incredible.

they say, they should just charge a £1. to get it up the SPFL.

you know the league that allowed them in, ahead of others. as a new team.

the clubs made the rules, again if it doesnt suit the particular the rangers agenda in any given circumstance then its bad.

Queens and Hibs, the clubs that pay their taxes, should charge the monkey hun zombies, £100 a ticket. to make up any deficit.

its all about filling ibrox to give them any advantage.

When the new laws got brought in at the start of the 80s,you’d be surprised how many of the troops travelled on the buses wi oranges for sustenance.
