  1. We are away to the BEST team in Italy and they are trying to see the game out!

Well done Celtic and Neil Lennon.

    Hail! Hail!

  2. Just watched the replay there we were robbed at the end there stonewall penalty how can the 5th official not see that absolute disgrace

Well done bhoys great performance lads did us proud

  3. One decent and two very decent away performances in this group. Unlucky at home v Udinese. Great fighting display at home to Rennes. Probably deserved draw at home v Atletico. Great experience for a young team. This will give us great heart for CL next season. We know it and so do you Truth1690.

  4. Unlucky bhoys.

A glorious failure is better than I was expecting.

A story of what ifs and if onlys.

The most disappointing part of tonight is that it was the same school boy type errors which have cost us 7 points in the Europa this season.

School boy defending from the inferior defenders we all knew we had coming in to the season.

Fraser Forster – best game for Celtic by a country mile – great performance.

Mulgrew – not a full back

Cha – not anything bar pace

    Big Dan – solid enough

Wanyama – looked like the occasion got to him in the 2nd half

Forrest – Good 1st half, fitness wasnt great 2nd

Samaras – My god – 1st half took your biggest critics breath away, literally! Scintilating. 2nd was more like him.

Brown – Have to say I thought that was one of his best games for Celtic

Kayal – something missing, the eye of the tiger perhaps.

Ki – Im not a great fan in these type of games, however his ability to pass the ball forward was a crucial release valve at times. Also saw him win a header from an Udinese corner – 1st for everything!

Hooper – I think he is learning how to play the lone striker role. He didnt have a clue at the start of the season and allowed himself to get frustrated when he wasnt getting the same service as he was used to with a partner, however tonight looked like he knew he had to champ at the bit in the hope of 1 or 2 in 10 coming off. A much more polished performance, even though admittedly nothing really went his way in the 2nd half.

Tonights Celtic is much more like a Celtic we can all get on board with – blood, guts – the glory will come.

    Hail hail

  5. You were brilliant tonight Celtic! Play like that rest of season, we will celebrate a TREBLE!!!

    Hail! Hail!

  6. We are so so unlucky not to progress tonight.

Udinese are joint top of Serie A.

They are the only team in Serie A with a 100% home record, having won 7 out of 7.

They have the best home defensive record in Serie A, with just 2 goals conceded.

They also have the best away defensive record in Serie A.

Had Cha Du-Ri’s effort been 2 inches to the right it would have gone in off the post.

Or had it been hit slightly harder it would have crossed the line after hitting the ‘keeper.

Had the referee spotted the hand-ball by the Udinese defender near the end then perhaps justice would have been done for the ridiculous penalty decision at the end of the first game between the teams.

And in spite of their lofty achievements this season to date, Udinese will be mighty relieved to have scraped past Celtic to qualify.

Our Bhoys can be mighty proud of their efforts tonight, and through the whole Europa League campaign, We were dumped by the fates in “a Champions League group” and only the group winners beat us.

I guess we’ll now have to concentrate on winning a domestic treble.

    Walk on Bhoys!
