So very proud of the tem tonight – well done Bhoys. Keep it going and we will have the league in the bag. The only downside i can see is that Udi allowed us to play football and matched us by playing football. How many teams in Scotland will do that – few most resort to kicking us of the park.
Sammi – Big FF brilliant – FF you are winnig us over.
sorry, meant to say one of the oppositions key aims in the second half!!

Overall extremely pleased with the account the team gave of themselves in this competition.
An easier group we would have breezed, Definitely a team on the the rise, BUT
Athletico Kayal 6 4 1 1 11 4 13
Cha Du Udinese Hooper 6 2 3 1 6 7 9
Glasgow Celtic 6 1 3 2 6 7 6
Cha Du Rennes 6 0 3 3 5 10 3
That’s what individual errors and moments of madness bring. SO frustrating.
We were not beaten by others in this tournament, we beat ourselves!!!

I agree with your assessment that we can get on board with this kind of Celtic – a largely excellent performance – players looked like they know what it means to pull on a Celtic Jersey – I was getting severely disaffected with the attitude of players not realising what Celtic means.
However, tonight also highlights what happens when you do not invest in key areas – tonight it was defence – the goal resulted from a player who I think is not good enough. The margin tonight was tiny but you wonder if we had invested a wee bit more would we have crossed the line… Maybe, maybe not..?
Players are only rested on big nights and today Sammi – passed with flying covers and in flashes James F showed his promise..I thought his class was evident.
Perhaps most encouraging though is the fact this Celtic team believe in themselves. Pleased for Lenny more than anybody. We’ve all doubted him – even his most ardent supporters must have had reservations not so ong since – but he is showing his mettle.
Proud of the Bhoys tonight..investment in January in Defence could spell the beginning of period of continual dominanace domestically and credibility regained abroad.

Hugely encouraging tonight. Best performance from the bhoys in a long time. Big Forster superb, lots of great performances. Disappointed but if we can play like this the rest of the season no one in Scotland will be able to live with us.

Just hate having to listen to Burley, jaundiced opinions throughout, makes me boak that he got to play in the Hoops.
Two things really noticeable tonight 1) we need to learn when to go down for fouls 2) claim for more, everything in fact, too often decisions went against us because the Udinese players simply claimed louder and more vehemently. Simple things that can swing the balance of any game at any level.
Was pleased with the performance and overall the manager and team chalked up real credit tonight.

Sadly, I suspect that is the transfer budget blown.

Really proud of the performance tonight from a team of young bhoys. Bitter taste from the penalty decisions udinese have had home and away, but we rode our luck for a bit in the second half, and FF was once again outstanding (if only that bhoy could be more vocal with the defence – I suppose he would say it changes every week, so how can he build up an understanding with them)
League to focus on.

Very good performance tonight. This young team are maturing before our eyes.
Forster 9 (best game for Celtic)
Cha 5 (not good densively)
Big Dan 7 (good blocks and interceptions, but not the brightest bulb on the Christmas tree at times)
Big Vic 8 (excellent first half, coped well in the second half with lots of pressure and out of natural position)
Big Chic 6 (not a full back, but decent cover – delivery nd consistency a bit hot and cold in recent weeks – understandle given his circumstances)
Brown 7 (does the hard stuff well and the basic stuff eratically)
Kayal 7 (decent job in front of central defence)
Samaras 8 (10 for the first half but tired)
Forrest 8 (also ran out of energy as the match went on, but just glides past players – wonderful potential)
Hooper 7 (missed great chance and then scored a poachers goal but faded)
Stokes and Bangura struggled to get into it. I haven’t worked out exactly what Nabguar is supposed to be good at.
Overall a very good performance, the young boys can be proud of a few decent performances and good progress being made all round.
Step forward Fraser Forster. Match winning penalty save at the weekend followed by his best performance for Celtic tonight. Keep it up big fella.

Sammy great first half, but disappears in the second.
Forrest- great game, kicked all over
Forster- we appear to have a keeper.
Unlucky Bhoys. Let’s go for the league.

Brilliant assist for their first.
Nearly created a double in the 71st min for a far post header that Charlie Tully could have scored.
Midfielder,maybe.
Never a fullback.
