  1. Banner WAS too small.

    You know my uncle was a scottish communist. Got sheridan into politics (told me years ago he was a tit). About 10yrs ago I asked him about Salmond and the SNP. His response;

Any NATIONALIST party is wrong. The VERY definition is wrong. For SNP read BNP!

Didn’t undestand him at the time.

    Get it NOW

  2. tremendous performance all round tonight, young team can only get better, couple of signings in January and its upwards and onwards

FF might just have a goalkeeper there,if we can get him in the summer, penalty save against the jam tarts will have lifted his confidence tremendously, and tonight

    more

Young James Forrest just seems to glide past opponents, frightning.wonder who Sally will have to boot him all over the park on the 28th,answers on a postcard.

Learned of a friend told he had Cancer today,so game lifted me a bit.

  3. I was very pleased with tonight’s performance. I thought we played very well as a team. I’ve slaughtered Sammi before so it’s time to give credit for a wonderful first half performance when he had Udinese on toast. Best Euro game from young Forrest. He is a special talent and I still worry that he is being given too much game time at the moment. I worry about burnout. I thought Big Danny (another I’ve criticised) was very good apart from his short back pass. I worrY about KI – excellent control and passer of the ball but he has the heart of a chicken when it comes to putting in a tackle.

Well done Neil. No one gave us a chance of getting out of the group when we heard the draw but for a couple of very unfortunate incidents (the last minute penalty awarded to Udinese at CP and the own goal debacle at Rennes) we would have gone through. However, that’s football and we acquitted ourselves very well.

Now let’s go out and win this league.

  4. That banner will overshadow our great display tonight. At least they got the spelling right. They aint do themselvs any favours are they??

    Performance was great.

    Made me proud.

We should have could have won it.

No shame being 3rd in that group.

  6. Evening all.

IMMENSELY proud of the team tonight – 3 nil down to Kilmarnock seems a lifetime ago.

Forster – this boy played an absolute blinder tonight.

Big Dan – one slip up defensively and a mad tackle at the corner flag in injury time but not troubled.

Cha (Du Ri) – not one of his best but plenty of effort

Cha (Mulgrew) – 10/10 for effort

Vic – was this guy under any pressure?

    Kayal – very quiet

Ki – couldn’t get anything going

Forrest – tried hard, obviously pinpointed as a danger

Brown – thought the game passed him by at times.

Samaras – the first half (AMAZING), 2nd half – again pinpointed as a danger

Hooper – cheeky goal, quiet 2nd half

Stokes – not enough time to make an impression

    Bangura – see Stokes

Never heard Lennon & Forster interviews but regardless – this team has guts. Might have been a long time in coming to the fore but it’s there.

  7. Immensely proud as usual, what a performance, loved Samaras in the first half – what a beautiful enigma. Forrest re-stamped his credentials as potentially Great. Down our right we struggled, Cha fought his heart out (God bless him x) but we need more creativity there.

    Love Celtic x

The green brigade are a dead cert to be mentioned in relation to this banner in the press tomorrow..

  9. Cetic took the Udine right oot that mob tonight, it was ese…

    Aye well alomost.

Since when did broadfoot become someone worth discussion? The wee poop stirring swine that spread the ‘Craven in Celtic death threats’ line, how can folk follow him on That Twitter?

Seriously, you follow him you get dragged into his murkey hun world and it gets dragged to places like here and the swine gets his message across. Get upset by what he says and go spread it to web sites, exactly what trolls like him spears etc want. Same as burley, he has raised his profile as ‘the man they love to hate’ every time we mention that swine it does him a favour.

The ‘craven death threatss’ story to me is still a huge one that was forgot about, during the referee strike the SFA man spread these stories, the all new SFA still employ him. But hey what the Celtic board spun looked good for the AGM, all was well, the celtic support were slandered without any defence when it was proven by Craven himself there was no death threats other than ‘senior sfa source’

  10. Moonbeams WD. \o/ Supporting Neil Lennon 100%.

The point being the clowns that thought it would be a great idea to come up with this banner have given our enemies the vehicle to detract from a top drawer Celtic performance in Europe.

As you rightly say, that should be the ONLY subject to discuss tonight!

  11. CultsBhoy hates being 2nd on

    Sammi?

Always supported him, always maintained he is our biggest talent – the last of the quality players to arrive at Celtic, a player who is probably technically and certainly tactically a page ahead. In my opinion -he’s the guy who can raise his game on night’s like tonight, he can run an Old Firm game, he can stand out when playing for his country – we have some decent players in the team right now but not anybody who has proved it at the levels Sammi has..

I honestly think when he has a stinker its because he can’t bring his game down to the level he is sometimes asked to play.

Anybody who thinks differently is watching a different player than me…and it would appear Lenny

  12. If you look at the BBC Scotland web site it shows it all with the 2 pictures of the game tonight. We drew with the top team in Italy and they show a photo of the Italian teams scorer celebrating after scoring and our scorer …… missing a chance….

  13. very proud of the bhoys tonight, can’t fault any of the players though forster and samaras (in the first half) were absolute stand outs.

such a bad time to concede a goal, really think udinese were there for the taking if we had just held on to that lead at half time

certainly no disgrace, and its a sobering thought to think that but for that dodgy last minute penalty they got in glasgow we would have went through

oh, and would you believe it, right on full time, two police officers came into the pub i was watching the game asking the bar staff “any trouble” only for them to be given short shrift; law has been in force one day and they are already at it.

  14. MWD

    Thanks for response.

The thing for me is that since this EURO campaign (what a hard wors to spell) started, we have improved immensely.

What a promising bunch of great yonks we have

  15. Im away before Paul bans me as anyone who gives a fcuk about that banner needs to get a life.

We have had a result against the top team in Italy who were playing for corners for the last 5 minutes and people on here want to get at Bhoys who actually went to the game…

Why is the banner even being discussed…

If we get fined then its easy to find out who put it up.. The huns showed that in the San Siro

  16. Know what

We gave a right good account of ourselves, once again, in Europe.

That stage is what our players strive on, we have to drive it home, that in order to do that you must win domestically – MUST WIN.

Another observation from tonight is re the throw ins – I’m sure another CQNer has posted about this before too… we have to gain territory from them

Before they scored tonight Cha Mulgrew had an opp to launch the ball forward, had he done so it was a chase with the ball in their half, like rugby lets say, gain territory…. he didnt, he let it run and we had a shy in or “22”. They won possesion from this

Shortly afterwards another shy, again we lost possession. Fortunately we won it back and Ki played to Sammi – NOW SAMMI IF YOU ARE READING, and I hope you are…

THE NEXT TIME you have possession with a minute to go in the opponents “22”……. KEEP IT – do not try to square – run time out… And young Hooper, watch your line!! you gave Sammi no option by running offside, stay on son and he can play a through ball that the defenders will struggle to catch – merely an observation!!

And BTW – Sammi bashers – that is not a dig – in the first half tonight, big man…. .. you were unplayable, you ran the show and deserved more

In Summary – gutted we are out of Europe. Has progress been made? UNDOUBTEDLY

    COME ON LENNY’S LIONS

    Bring the big FLAG home

    pyfinl

    HAIL HAIL

  17. Respect to the Bhoys tonight.

    And RIP Hitchens.

    Love or loathe him…

    He made you Think.

And if a Man accomplishes that…

    You owe him.

I am sure even George would agree.

  18. GourockEmeraldBhoy HAILS THE KANO FOUNDATION on

Good morning from a snow covered gourock. Well done to the team for a great performance against one of the best teams in Europe at the moment. lets push on from here and pick up a wee treble.
