UnCommons Moneyball gem

857

Someone made the point to me over the weekend, 30 goals, and counting, from midfield, rivals 53 from Henrik Larsson as a central striker.  It is an unnecessary burden to compare Kris Commons to Celtic’s greatest player in four decades, even Henrik couldn’t compare to the memory of Henrik, but the history books will show for decades to come, Kris Commons is a rare gem, a Celtic player for the ages.

He’s the definition of a Moneyball player, he’s a great multiple Player of the Year and he’s ours.

Enjoy watching him.

Issue 20 of CQN Magazine, CQLisboN is out and enjoying great reviews. You can check it out here, for free, now….

  4. Rangers: Imran Ahmad in court again to ring-fence cash

    By Alasdair Lamont

    Senior football reporter, BBC Scotland

Rangers’ former commercial director, Imran Ahmad, is to go back to court on Tuesday as he seeks to have more than £500,000 frozen in the club’s account.

In February, Lord Tyre disagreed with Ahmad’s claim that Rangers were trading while insolvent.

Now, with doubts over season ticket sales, Ahmad is concerned about Rangers’ ability to pay out should he win his ongoing legal battle with them.

The two parties are in dispute over his claim for unpaid bonuses.

At the February hearing, Lord Tyre made his decision in Rangers’ favour because of what he described as the cyclical nature of a football club’s finances.

Since then, Rangers have made it clear that a significant drop in season ticket sales would leave them unable to trade without seeking external finance.

The chairman of Rangers’ football board, Sandy Easdale, also told BBC Scotland that the League One champions are in a “fragile situation”.

Rangers will again have to satisfy a judge at the Court of Session that they can continue to trade, with the implications of the decision going in Ahmad’s favour next week potentially devastating for the board.

The Glasgow club declined to comment when contacted by BBC Scotland

Many say that he is as talented as Robert Lewandowski. Guy is 17 years old and if he decides to not sign contract with Lech Poznan, will have choice to sign with any other club in March 2015. Of course that club will have to pay equivalent which is less than GBP 300 000.

I read that he is not going to sign contract with Lech. Player’s agent would agree for contract with Lech Poznan but demands sell out clause Euro 2 000 000.Lech say he is not for sale.

I heard few other names, including Arsenal.

TSFM speculating that the Govan EGM may be to enter Admin before yer man gets to court at 10am.

That would mean that he would be unable to ring fence the cash and would merely be an unsecured creditor.

The rationale being that otherwise, why not wait until the court decides on his claim.
