UnCommons Moneyball gem

857

Someone made the point to me over the weekend, 30 goals, and counting, from midfield, rivals 53 from Henrik Larsson as a central striker.  It is an unnecessary burden to compare Kris Commons to Celtic’s greatest player in four decades, even Henrik couldn’t compare to the memory of Henrik, but the history books will show for decades to come, Kris Commons is a rare gem, a Celtic player for the ages.

He’s the definition of a Moneyball player, he’s a great multiple Player of the Year and he’s ours.

Enjoy watching him.

Issue 20 of CQN Magazine, CQLisboN is out and enjoying great reviews. You can check it out here, for free, now….

We take Commons and will give you our referees !?

We had your refs before, we drew nil nil and there were no contentious decisions. This site would be a ghost town every match game :o)

Ian Dury came onto the revolving stage in his wheelchair and straight off onto the floor , out of his chair lay on the ground doing the dying fly , i thought it was part of his act , till i was put right !! lol

Please pass my thank you to your wonderful ladies, my friend. That was my pleasure to meet them and meet you again. No wonder why you are so proud of them.

I sure will but I know you are equally as proud of your own ladies who I intend meeting in the near future.

  8. Okay, I step back. That was stupid offer with the referees. Will ask Paul67 to delete my post with that.

  9. GG,

A lovely tribute to your friend. My own Dad is 91 and I was able to take him Celtic Park for a meal to celebrate the day. I hope Ito take him to see the Celtic Way some time soon. There are not many left of the generation who made it to Lisbon and Milan; in fact, I think he is the only one of the group he went with.

‘Heard Jim Naughtie this morning on Radio 4. He was giving his appraisal of the Independence Debate. I hope to Ghod, if we do vote Yes, that he gets to run the BBC (or whatever it becomes here) from Pacific Quay. A class apart from anyone who operates out of there at the moment (and I am aware that he is up here regularly on secondment).’

    ####

Because of the referendum he now co hosts the breakfast news programme on radio shortbread once or twice a week.

I’ve remarked on here how much more professional the show is when he’s on it.

As an example, he was on the day Tony Benn’s death was announced. As it happened he had done the last interview Tony Benn had given, and they were able to cut straight to it.

I don’t know if his presence on the show is the BBC making a subtle point about what might be lost if the nats have their way.

  11. ElDiegoBhoy

Looking forward to that. Best if you make it before October 15 th when the weather is good and predictable.

I see the special one is looking for a killer striker for next season

Hope he is aware that both Kenny miller and kris Boyd are free agents but he will need to offer either or both big money as the lure of second tier Scottish football and the ramsdens cup will be tough to match

Weefra, howdy, wee question! Was driving near Dumbarton with glasgowghirl last Sunday and was overtaken by a car that had a number plate that could have been yours? Coincidence? Or do you have a recognisable plate?

Tom Hateley plays for Slask Wroclaw. I know, I know he is English but that Tom Hateley.

Barry Douglas plays for Lech Poznan. He is not key player there but I think he is not bad.
