  1. lennon’s passion on 29th November 2015 5:16 pm

    STAIRHEEDRAMMY on 29TH NOVEMBER 2015 5:10 PM

Would stokes tweeted that under Lennon/Strachan he along with others don’t fear RD. Could give you half a dozen reasons why he’s weak as puddle water.

    …………………………………………………………………

In my opinion, it should not be about ‘fear’. It should be about people being totally professional in their attitude and approach at all times. I believe that RD clearly demonstrates that professionalism himself as the manager of our great club; and looks for, and expects, the same quality in everyone he works with, rightly so.

A few weeks ago, Callum McGregor came off the bench ( I think) at Celtic Park. I remarked that he suddenly looked a much more confident player and that I expected to see him feature in the team more often. I have only seen the brief appearance of Scott Allan against Ajax and I thought he really looked a player as well. Seems like that view would have been reinforced had I seen today`s game.

Ronny Deila WILL become a top, Celtic Manager. His progress will be made more smoothly with backing from the support.

The Future IS bright; the Future IS Green and White.

    JJ

  3. Far too many are buying into the medias version of Ronny, they fear him they can see into the future, and they are shitting themselfs.

Tis a pity so may Tims can’t see it.

We are buying up some very good young talent, kudos to whoever is scouting them, I have no idea if RD had a say in the likes of Allen and Christie, if he did in SA & GMS, I can well understand why, but no way does shiftkey fit his kinda player, so again kudos for the ones we have brought in, it really does bode well for the future.

  4. Joe Filippis Haircut on

Why are we talking about players not fearing Ronny that is not the way to manage for long term results.Management by encouragement is much more positive and long lasting and I believe is the way Ronny likes to manage. H.H.

  5. When McGregors form dipped I thought one of his problems was that he never hid and was always hard working hence you saw him having poor games. This lead us to having a distorted view of his actual abilities. He’s 22 and has played a lot less football than a 22 year old should have. That says more about our set up than it does him.

Think he will develop into a good centre midfielder where he played before Ronny say him as a winger / forward.

I quite agree with your opening statement (5:38).

How much they are buying into it though, I am not so sure. The negativity of the MSSM would be enough to make some Celtic supporters critical of the ` rookie` Ronny but, if it came to the crunch, would they prefer the

` experienced` and greatly praised Mark Warburton to Ronny? I have my doubts.

‘Would stokes tweeted that under Lennon/Strachan he along with others don’t fear RD. Could give you half a dozen reasons why he’s weak as puddle water.”

He gave both of those managers headaches with his antics- some of them much more damaging than this fairly harmless tweet. At the time, it was worth the headache because he was producing on the field. Once you are a fringe player or a has been, you get no such indulgences. He would be freed to Bolton at Christmas if only Bolton could afford to take on a free transfer.

  8. lennon's passion on

Rightly so many were praising the away support today. How many times did they sing Ronnys name. How many times have the GB been singing his name recently. Are they all buying in to this MSM conspiracy. Maybe just maybe they don’t rate Ronny.

  9. Would Stokes have done this under previous managers? Well, Lennon played him and he never played under WGS but rejected an attempt by WGS to sign him. So, we don’t know if he would have faced the same frustrations that he is feeling now.

He tweeted. He’s been reprimanded. He’s apologised. His taxi to Wigan has been booked for January.

We won today, well done to Callum mcgregor who made his first appearance in over a year

We are on the same wage as 2003 Mr Lawell ?

If that is a fact then someone needs sacked

I never take anything on this blog personally. I’m fully aware of what people on here think of me. My negative coach comment was a joke.

  13. I can’t say I blame Stokes. The man is worth a place on our squad, he’s seen Ciftci and Cole coming in and doing very little while he sits on his hands. He’s obvioulsy very frustrated and no doubt sees the exit looming on the horizon. Had Stokes came on for a woeful Griffiths against Ajax, I’d have fancied us to have won that game.

They were praised for their support, regardless of what they think of Ronny. They have sang his name before and they will sing it again. But they will concentrate on supporting their club rather than doing it down.

  16. Gerryfaethebrig

I considered turning back due to the blizzard on the way up. Glad I didn’t!

  17. Once the mid field turned up we looked much better.

The second goal was a peach made in Scotland.

I posted the other day the team in 2008 that drew 1 -1 with Man Utd. It had 7 Scots including two of the most pilloried CBS of that decade. Caldwell and McMcManus.

With young Christie to arrive and both SA and GMS to rediscover form we might have a good but more importantly settled team for a couple of years.

Good to see a big lump up front. Only half fit but I like the cut of Cole’s overweight jib.

Tanner is a dick and a poisonous one at that. Thought Robson put him in his place.

If Robson was a couple of years younger I’d sign him. ( he and Hartley were in the team v Man Utd)

I don’t buy into this Europe record cap. Churn caused it and churn won’t solve it.

    We where rubbish today

We won but we are rubbish, every happy clapper can see we are not an entertaining side

I am happy in that we won but no one can honestly say that we are a good side, or can you?

  20. JJ

Ronny has a vision which he firmly believes in, and fair play to him for sticking to it.

I have believed from the very start that he has what it takes, if he gets the kinda players in he wants, not JP players, but his players.

If scooping up the best in scotland is the route, fine, it will take a year or so to come to fruition, I am willing to wait, jeezo, I have waited long enough for periods in the past 50 years.

As for the media, they will do anything to harm us, it’s in their DNA, they can’t help it.

No give me an ambitious RD coach any day, they can keep their city trader types.

  21. BT

We were poor today. The football in the Caledonian stadium from October to March is usually of the agricultural variety.

We were not good but we did win and by a more comfortable margin than we usually get at Inversneckie.

No one is claiming that we are a good side- we are bottom of our Europa League so there are obviously, at least, 3 teams that are better. But we were better than iCT today which is all we were asked to be and, for that, I am happy.

Keep the blog informed about the disgraceful police cover afforded Celtic pubs on Thursday and on the politician’s responses, particularly on what the FOCUS Intelligence group knew or did not know about events.

I think Scott Allan will be a great Celtic player.

Funny to think he might get a run in the team due to injuries and suspensions.

A bit like how Nir Bitton and Victor Wanyama before him managed to get a chance to show what they could do

  25. I don’t think we will see another great Celtic player for a long long time, and any one that comes close to great will be sold long before they get the chance, I with I was wrong but that’s what most have swallowed as team building.

It is no surprise to me that your response was, “No give me an ambitious RD coach any day, they can keep their city trader types. ” My point was that even those who do not rate Ronny would prefer him to Warburton in spite of the MSSM`s criticism of the former and their adulation of the latter.

I would imagine the temperature on th eMountain tonight would be similar to that in Inversneckie!

    Cheerio for now.

  30. Tom Boyd is better than SuperSutton on

That was a great result in a game where many of our players were not at their best. In fact, were any players at their best?

    Tierney, possibly.

Armstrong, Rogic, Johansen were in the poor category.

Griff, Lustig, Bitton in the not good, not bad category.

Gordon, Boyata, Simo, McGregor in the did OK category.

Subs are a different story. GMS was impeccable. Ahem.

Allen was good. Again. Even though played wide left mostly. Starting berth shortly, surely.

Then there was Carlton Cole. Oh dear. Reminded me of Amido Balde. Poor control, poor heading (especially the goal chance), not physical enough. But managed to contrive a goal for Celtic. I just didn’t see a footballer in him. Please can I be wrong for once in my life?
