Consequences of Crawford Allan re-refereeing Celtic games

246

You can set your watch by it.  On Saturday, when discussing the reaction to Celtic’s goal against Hearts, I wrote, “Celtic will face the consequences of Thursday’s decision.”  And how.  They faced a litany of incorrectly flagged offsides at Tannadice yesterday.  The appropriately named Calum Butcher’s studs-first assault on David Turnbull did not received the red card it clearly deserved.  Referees have clearly been cowed by the coordinated reaction since Thursday evening.

Despite one over-eager pundit on Sky Sports, TV pictures of the goal on Thursday were inconclusive.  Celtic were denied a good goal when they met Hearts earlier in the season in a game they would go on to lose.  Clearly wrong decisions happen every week, commonly at some grounds.

However, the outrage over this particular incident tells you all you need to know about how Scotland works.  The assistant referee who judged the goal good has had his religion and heritage explored online, the media have had a feeding frenzy and SFA Head of Referee Operations (HoRO), Crawford Allan, chose to depart from protocol to say that in his opinion, Celtic were advantaged.

Allan’s intervention in this incident is without precedent.  He was not running the line, nor on the Review Panel, therefore he is not competent to comment on the incident.  When asked, a passive response is all that he is entitled to give.

Instead, he ramped up the pressure on his officials when refereeing Celtic, permitting the officiating we witnessed at Tannadice yesterday.  Perceived injustice rattling about a media echo chamber that drew in the SFA HoRO created a false impression that Celtic unfairly benefit from referee mistakes.

Crawford Allan’s job is not to re-referee Celtic games.  His position gives him a responsibility to comment on specifics with propriety.  I have no prior beef with him, he may otherwise be an excellent HoRO, but you knew, and I knew, there would be severe consequences for Celtic for some in the media deciding they ‘got away with one’.  He should have known the result of stepping outside this remit to pour some petrol on the flames.

Season ticket money banked means zero will be done about this. 👇

MON told you all that “The Slow Lane” would be taking over and you did Jack all about it.

You smeared MON, that’s what you do, you shoot down anyone delivering uncomfortable truths.

Now look at the state of the place!

And here you are all these years later, were the only way to pierce your domes is by a long run of a Rangers, mibbery laced, haul of trophies, even that might not be enough!

    https://twitter.com/MattMcGlone9/status/1467860943594004491?s=20

Maybe a bland toothless statement or tweet and that’ll be it.

Season tickets and all seating have cut the goolies off of fans, and a board who’re well aware that the Celtic support pose no threat to them will not be arsed to deal with such issues, as the Butcher assault, which imho will get worse as we go on.

Remember they used to bullsh*t us about, ‘John Reid’s dossier’ where? When?

Last seasons pathetic performance from fans in the car park for 6 months, and then giving the board 100% backing at the end of the protests, was Celtic’s ‘shell suit Bob’ episode.

The board have the Celtic support’s number, and the support are clueless about how to reverse that FACt.

Supporters without balls to withdraw their financial backing of the board, are simply not the answer.

Anger is the dynamic that is missing from supporters.

More, Butcher tackles, game losing mibbery decisions, and a very rich, but very silent board, might fuel the much needed anger?

But after 10 years of evidence of collusion growing, and fans react by making the silent board richer, then anger might not be any good, if the support don’t have that balls to channel that anger properly, as we saw for 6 months last season, blowing the coveted 10 season, and 53k respond by making the board richer?

The board even played the 53k by telling them that Lawwell had left the building?

Can’t fans see that not a word of what Celtic says can be trusted?

When? When, do you learn from the lessons? When? Are the 53k incapable of learning?

If this was Sevco, and Sevco fans responding in this way, the 53k would rightly be wearing the t-shirts mocking Sevco.

But introspection seems to be a banned word, from the Celtic vocabulary?

But when its Celtic fans, in effect being the king clowns of clown world, then it wouldn’t be out of place to ask,

“Are these 53k a hindrance, or a help to Celtic?

Yeah the money’s good, but at what cost?

Financing the club 100% is a brilliant idea, if the folk you’re giving financial support to, aren’t taking you’re money in one hand, and thanking you by bringing in, Bernard Higgins, with you’re money, on the other hand?

Bernard Higgins is merely a symptom, of the consequences of Celtic supporters voting preferences.

Higgins was the SNP’s Cromwell for Celtic supporters.

To deny that is to merely dig the hole that you’ve already dug for yourselves, even deeper.

Bernard Ponsonby has been mentioned as a PR guy?

Bernard Ponsonby was a huge beast of the 100% of ScottishMSM who bottled out of interviewing, 35 years long former Labour Party MP, George Galloway, who was sacked for opposing the Iraq war, and refusing to be a, Blairite imperialist, George W Bush lapdog, snubbed by ScottishMSM in May’s Scottish elections, and Bernard Ponsonby, who I used to see a lot, in the Jock Stein stand, is sadly, part of the Scottish establishment swamp. A ScottishMSM propagandist, who dodged a career ending confrontation with George Galloway, on STV coverage of Scottish elections back in May this year.

Bernard Ponsonby didn’t have the courage to report that George Galloway was on the receiving end of 3 death threats, or that Douglas Ross had one death threat from the same ex serviceman who also threatened George Galloway 3 times, whilst trying to be elected to Scotland’s gerrymandered Parliament, Ponsonby is a bought and paid for swamp creature, who propagandizes the enrichment of said swamp.

Ponsonby, like 100% of his ScottishMSM propagandists, are 100% terrified of interviewing, George Galloway, because they all know they’ll be handed their propagandist arses in what would be a career ending confrontation with George Galloway.

A gerrymandered Parliament which is decorated in images, or silhouettes of ‘Cranes’ the house of the builders, builders like, stonemasons, building a rigged,…

Celtic support vote for this crap in the ‘Crane’ house, a rigged, gerrymandered, masonic temple, full of Mason’s and eastern star witches.

Celtic support vote for this crap in the, PLC ‘Crane’ house, a rigged, and gerrymandered, masonic temple, full of masons, and fools, in a fools Paradise, were 30% of the shares = 100% of the power.

No wonder the ‘Crane’ builders fear JK Rowling, she’s the only one capable of making a film to describe all of this, courtesy of Celtic season ticket holder productions.

On a related issue — whatever happened to the police investigation of the Ajax fans who attacked the pub in the Gallowgate? Anybody charged / taken to court over the attack and the assault?

Several Dutch fans were charged and bailed to appear at a later date. Eventually all charges were dropped on the grounds that there was no realistic expectation of any of the accused returning to Glasgow to face the court.

So there it is. Commit a crime, face charges, receive bail then decide not to go to trial and . . . Och that’s ok we’ll let you off then.

If those poor Sevco supporters travel to Lyon and find they can’t get into the game , they can always participate in the festival of light instead by going into some of the local churches and lighting a candle .

    Thanks for the update.

My memory was that the local plod had passed the prosecution over to the A/dam plod.

And guess what it had all gone quiet and nothing was done to bring the case to court.

We managed to bring a guy back from Libya when it suits.

But we can’t manage a case dealing with Dutch yahoos when we still had the EU?

I fear that the low rent / hard of thinking / Govan fan boys in the plod were at it.

That is a scandal and that is the battle we should be fighting.

How have other Euro football related violent incidents been handled by other forces?

Who allowed the Dutch yahoos to be bailed?

From memory some severe beatings were handed out that night.

With the police tasked with managing the away fans disappearing at the right sorry wrong moment.

That is the fight with the authorities that we need to have.

Were you at Tannadice on Sunday? Of course you weren’t. So why do you blame the Green Brigade for the sectarian chanting?

You blamed the GB for the sectarian chanting at the Hearts game as well.

I was at Tannadice and can tell you that the Fat Orange Bastard chants came from the entire Celtic support, by which I mean every section of the support, not every Celtic supporter.

Supporters around me were chanting it and I was in a different stand from the GB.
