Aberdeen, Sinclair, Hearts

251

Respect to Aberdeen for their performance on Saturday, it belied their poor start to the season and matched anything we have faced domestically so far.  That said, Celtic grew into the game and always looked to have a goal in them.

Delighted for Scott Sinclair, who was overjoyed at getting the goal.  He has been a special player for us and one who can still contribute.

Perspective is everything.  We are enduring one of the worst starts to the season while others, below us in the table, think their moment has arrived.  After Sunday’s results, we should be more concerned at the six point gap with Hearts.

‘at the present, there is a cancer within the league which has infected our club …. and what does one do to treat cancer? radiation/chemotherapy, which may ‘harm’ the patient in the short term, but is necessary in order to get rid of the poisonous cells and, in the long run, save the patient’

    Interesting metaphor.

If I may borrow it – I’m treating the cancers (plural) at source.

At risk of being smug, if every Celtic supporter did the same, I suspect change would happen quickly without the need for penalising the ONE club that is doing something about it.

Fully accept that there are conflicting views about whether they are doing enough.

    Just for curiousity

I have a magic wand, I wave it and you are now Chairman of Celtic, you have Carte Blanche to proceed as you see fit.

    What would you do.

That is my policy also. I find it quite easy to implement and I still get to see my team at Celtic Park.

    Cheerio for now,

Big Mike would probably start off by firing injunctions and restraining orders on his critics.

  12. MIT,

Always love your insights, please respond to WITS, i suspect the answer will be eloquently put as to how we all feel.

Not sure an empty ground is always the best way to protest against the SFA, the SPFL or the Celtic Board, or any combination of the three, but it might be re the SFA. Then again a protest during a live match say at Celtic Park would not be easy to completely ignore, especially if it a full house. We still support the team on the pitch. As for the refereeing situation, how many times do we need to see what is in front of us. Time to advocate the use of referees from outwith Scotland, or for Celtic to come right out and accuse them of blatant cheating and chicanery, with a bit of luck they will go on strike, permanently.

  16. Then again our Club could always show some True Grit, but in the unlikely event of our Board ever showing any, best stick to Film4 which has on at 9pm.

  17. MIT- most of us have posted without reading back at what has been previously chatted about, as HS said, don’t beat yourself up about it.

Watching the Bournmouth C palace game. What stands out for me is the quality of the officials compared with the SPL, the speed of the passing compared with Celtic. The big difference for me is how the mid field players tackle, never jumping out of the tackle, unlike Rogic, McGregor,Forrest and Sinclair.
