    How much did Bankier control Peter Lawwell’s activities?

     

     

    I don’t remember too many complaints about that. I disliked Bankier because he was no use in Public Speaking and knew very little about football or its fans. Peter Lawwell is obviously more of a footbal man.

     

     

    If neither of us has inside info (and I certainly don’t despite being labeled as an insider and Board Beard by more than one CQN poster or interloper) then we are in danger of projecting our own views onto events about which we have no idea as to who caused them to come about or even if they arrived by accident rather than design. Alternatively, we read the runes of “side of the mouth” statements at Press Conferences or worse, from Journalists quoting managers first or second hand, and imagine that we bring no biases or prejudices to these rune readings.

     

     

    So, when it comes to events where I have little info and little chance to influence, I choose not to get too upset. I know from the Resolution guys that Peter Lawwell lied. For that alone he should be out of our club.

     

     

    But, for my sins, I don’t think we have much chance of changing our sars by much. We can and we have dominated Scottish football and we have become increasingly a third division club in Europe having been briefly given a glimpse of reaching the 2nd division with MON, WGS and even NFL. It hurts like hell but I can’t see any way we can spend our way back there. We can get better, however, with or without Peter Lawwel

    Well, there’s a point to your comment, a dig a person or persons unknown perchance!?

     

     

    Kwon was nowhere ready to get flung into the SPL fire pit, never mind the UCL campaign.

     

     

    He was given a development plan, as per every development player at Celtic.

     

     

    He seems to have taken that on Board, doubled down in training and got a good loan move to a form team

     

     

    He seems to have quickly established himself as a starter for that team, despite his lack of game time.

     

     

    Not sure who “branded him hopeless”, I do know who said his talent was withering on the vine…

     

     

    Player development takes time, sometimes a little time, sometimes a lot of time, sometimes it’s very successful, sometimes it fails.

     

     

    That’s was the nature of Celtic’s 2023 recruitment model.

     

     

    We all hope Kwon does very well, and it would be great if his time in Scotland is a great benefit.

     

     

    If he’ll ever be “Celtic Class”, that’s a big ask… let’s hope so.

    For me Brian Quinn, Lord Reid, Ian Bankier and Peter Lawwell have all been different in the Chairman role.

     

     

    The Chairman, even if a NED, does not have to be passive to fulfill his role, as some suggest, quite the opposite I’d suggest.

    I have seen credible support for the view that he lied to the support. I have no idea what his motivation for doing so was.

     

     

    We are asked to believe that Celtic were out of the loop on the 5 way agreement. He has never answered why they would be out of the loop or why they would allow htemselves to be out of the loop. They have been remarkably incurious about following up the injustice of those events and that would be remarkably tolerant behaviour towards a cheating rival.

    The board and management have different ambitions than the support.

     

     

    I’ll repeat what I said last year, I have nothing in common with this board, I don’t think all of them are Celtic supporters.

     

     

    I maybe missed Burnley 78 explaining the roles of the board.

    Dugs on the street findings …there was and has been a cover up and SFTB was part of it if not then he`ll easily show the evidence that disproves this.
