One of the problems of doing your business discretely is that if and when agents or selling clubs publicise your interest in their player, media attention has a tendency to attribute too much focus on the most recent name revealed. Teemu Pukki is a player Celtic have been trailing for some months but the fact that his agent yesterday revealed their interest is no indication that he enjoys any pre-eminence over others strikers being considered. If anything, briefings from the agent are an indication of the opposite.
Reports yesterday that Pukki is backup in case a bid for Finnbogason fails are also wide of the mark; this is not the active path Celtic are working on. There are (at least) two other strikers under consideration, neither of whom have directly or indirectly leaked the discussions.
Nothing sells media adverts like transfer ‘news’, which is fair enough, but news is easier to find than the actual story. This is a ‘no news’ article, the easiest of all. No panicking in the back…

After missing out on Luiz Gustavo #arsenal have turned their attention to Kevin Doyle. #celtic #hh
===
It is being reported that Doyle has no interest in playing in such a small league as the EPL, especially with the Gooners. His agent has hinted that he is holding out for a move to the riches of the Scottish premier league and CL favourites Celtic FC. The Scottish champions haven’t been slow spending most of the 250 million pounds received for the sale of Gary Hooper. Pirlo, and Wayne Rooney having been secured on lucrative deals with the European giants. Spending is likely to continue with strong rumours of an audacious, can’t refuse, bid for Lionel Messi on the cards.

Don’t mess around looking to get out early. Its too suspicious. Take the whole day of!
Complain loudly on Monday afternoon at work about dodgy stomach/sore head.
Then ring the boss Monday night/Tuesday morning saying you’ve picked up a 24 hr bug, the wife/kids/dog (delete as appropriate) had it last week. You’ll do your best to get through it and will defo be in Wednesday.
Alternatively, if you have a skinful watching the game in the boozer and we win, the 24 bug can become the 48 hr bug.

Is that right that Aberdeen haven’t been beaten at home since February?
I must admit to also thinking that some of the recent headers on the blog have a pro board bias. Just an opinion mind.
Perhaps someone should create a ‘Not The CQN’ blog for all the ingrates , Rhebs , Bampots and fence sitters like moi

Best company out there.

g69 – moral dilema indeed. Get on to Mr Scullion in tech – or even better, Mr Green in RE – ask them if this is a test of your faith, and if so, what happens when you fail.

Cheers Lhads I will check them out. My biggest worry with the Samsung CB was that most of the hardware/storage was web based and it said something about 100 gigs free for the first two years, don’t want to have to put money in the meter to use it

I strongly suspect that we’ll see a weakened Celtic side at Pittodrie.
Paddysmarket. I’m not sure if it.was my post you read when you mentioned the cafe n calling the Huns the Southsiders. I was a bit oiled last night. I remember when I stayed in cessnock n was gettin a bit of hassle from Huns a guy in work at the time (E.K) said well what do you expect? The guy had never left EK. Anyway oiled again today as I was down that way in the fabulous Stanley bar, a wee Oasis.

Hello Sir, I know your comment was tongue in cheek but from little seeds.
All comments make this forum what it is.
It may be that a large % of the comments appear to be pro board, but I do not think they are pro board per se.
I do honestly believe that a lot of people truly believe the board are doing a very good job and that is reflected in the comments.
To those who do not carry that view you must realise Celtic are not the conscience of the world and every individual corner cannot be fought by them, hence the need for CQN.
All comments within the umbrella of freedom of speech must be allowed but with the caveat of chastisement or censure, as we have experienced today.
Today’s rebel may turn out to be tomorrow’s conformist all depending on the topic discussed but all here within the confines of CQN.
The truth exists only falsehood has to be invented.

Aw Naw – I really should just follow your advice instead of trying to debate the points with an intellectual heavyweight such as yourself.
You need to understand that us ST fodder don’t know any other way to support our club!
You never really answered my own points about which direction the club should take. So we come out with all guns blazing….then what?
What do you see being the realistic outcome?
