Ashley could fulfil Tarantino vision

948

Did Dave King honestly say there would be a “forensic investigation” before newco, under his control, would repay Mike Ashley’s £10m loan?  This, before the second tranche of the loan, which the club will need to meet payroll, is paid, and while Ashley could acquire an array of property and IP assets by simply not transferring the money when expected.

Unnecessarily provoking the source of short-term finance your club is dependent on is a bizarre tactic.

If it is indeed “the end” for the current newco board, as King promises, said board have a matter of weeks to secure whatever assets they can for those who have previously invested in the club and provided loans.

The crux of King’s comments are reported as:

“Would we pay [Ashley] immediately, I don’t think so no. We would complete a forensic investigation.

“If David Somers’ indication is correct that there has been some malfeasance then it is possible that the club would have a claim then I would attach the money and make a claim.

“If any individuals behaved improperly then it is important that they are held accountable.”

There’s a scene in Pulp Fiction when an unfortunate predator, “Z”, is informed that some African Americans are about to “Get medieval on his ass”.  We don’t get to see what this means but stay tuned, between now and the EGM, Mike Ashley might just provide a demonstration of what Tarantino had in mind.

Remember, Ashley is not at Ibrox because he fancies being the next David Murray.  He is not interested in the godforsaken world of having to run a football club in Glasgow, he’s happy to allow others to carry this burden.

He may well allow King to ‘win’ the EGM, but the spoils of victory will be very much on his terms.  Trying hard not to imagine Paul Murray in a leather mask now.

Today is World Cancer Day.  This disease has taken too many from the blog already, not to mention millions across the globe.  There is a lot of good news, though.  Progress is being made, but many in the developing world need access to simple preventative treatments, methodologies and information.

The preventative message still needs to get through to a great many in the developing world, before it’s too late.  Here’s a video outlining where the battle is at the moment:

  6. I am getting lost Doctor Whatfor does exiled Tim selling leather onesies? Whit we like callin Huns Monkeys, God forbid we tease those poor unfortunate zombies. I still can’t believe that this is the gift that keeps on giving. Had another belly ache reading about Dodgy Daves plan to withhold ASDA’s debt repayments along with HMTQ paye and vat. Fit and proper for ranjurs2 he definetely is. My laughter lines have aged me these last three years. It has been a hoot.

  7. I have to agree, if there is one name which really gets ‘their’ goat, it is ‘Sevco’. They hate it.

The beauty of it is the term is that it :

    1. Is legally accurate and cannot be mistaken for any form of racism.

    2. Serves to remind them that their beloved club died from a self inflicted wound.

    3. Serves to remind them that they are maintaining a myth which they themselves don’t believe.

    4. Reminds them that they current club is being run by a series of blood sucking spivs wholly intent on bleeding the club dry.

When others referring to them as huns, we are in fact establishing a link to the followers of that club which died. This is wholly unfair since their club has not died. That was another club who just happen to be based at the same ground, wear the same shirts, play the same crap brand of football and are followed by a bunch of neanderthals.

Sevconians they are for their club is called Sevco 5088 FC.

Congratulations to all Sevconians out there, that was indeed the best display your team has ever given against the Scottish Champions.

Nothing wrong with that statement now is there?

  8. Mea culpable. Remember it’s scotland. The Scotsman has already banned the word sevco and deem it sectarian.

Yip – the ‘bored’…PL / whoever seem to be doing stuff the right wiy…for a chinge…ghood!

Getting SA & GMS etc…signed up for the coz was a guid stroke.

Especially when it looks like the monkey/huns might no be able to take the leap…back into the ring to cheat us again next season…who knows?

I’m starting to see this Ronny guy in a different light btw…no coz his team skelped the monkey/huns but…he seems to be getting it that…there’s more to it than fitba…when yer the manager of the Celtic…hopefully he is.

Kojo’s stuff about Commons….hmmm…the main beef that I’ve got wi Commons is that, when he play’s in the CL games for us…he spends more time on his ‘ample’ erse than he does on the ball…why is that?….he’s got the stuff as well but, has a tendency to opt for the ‘hollywood’ shot at goals from 40 yards…that diz ma nut!

Kojo’s right about him it’s jist that fholk on here are to busy…forensically examining their own selected victims…to see what Kojo’s actually on about but…there are also those who refuse to see…blind-monkeys?

For those who feel that the establishment are out to get them…who lets them get you?

Who do you pay to fight yer corner?

    Are they fighting yer corner?

Do you ‘warn’ them that, the toothless-tiger efforts that seems to be all they can conjure up in your defence…isny good enough but…keep on paying them anyway?

    If so then…who’s the fool?

The monkeys are the masters of the sheep…dontcha know?

    Oh, afore ah forget…

    It’s gonnae be cloudy / clammy / sunny / wet / frozen…who cares?

    Off oot.

I can’t help but have this image of 1000s of ugly guys and girls, clad in blue, screaming forth with their usual poisonous bile, day after day after day.

Then someone dares to say, “Sevco” and they run greetin to their maws, crying “Mammy! Mammy! That man ca’d me a bad name. Gonnae tell him tae stop it. Wah! Wah! Wah!”

Poor old Sevconians. Nobody loves them. But don’t worry, they said they don’t care.

    So that’s OK then.

  17. Doubt it’s classed as sectarian, more to do with the same club lie the current propaganda is trying to instil.

I expect the motive behind the lie has some small sectarian motives, however neganon2 might have more info on why it’s banned, he may have seen them explain why, which may have included the word sectarian, lot of mighty and maybes though.

  23. I posted this on tsfm for whatever club might be involved in play offs but I’m reposting to ask do you guys remember watching games you thought must be rigged because defeat for RFC was unthinkable?

    ——————–

What I don’t get is the inability of those running our clubs to grasp what history shows and that is TRFC have the same mindset as RFC and that mindset simply cannot be trusted.

It indulged in deception on ebts and the fact that they all have ( mistakenly) not been deemed irregular does not alter the fact they did not follow the rules.

That is bad enough but when the nature of that deception is minimised and then concealed from an enquiry into its seriousness, then how can anyone believe that the rules will be applied fairly if the commercial cost is seen as too great?

As a Celtic supporter I watched with mounting incredulity the decisions on and off the park that went Rangers way in 2010 the season of Honest Mistakes ( a phrase coined by Saturday’s referee who made a few on Saturday) We now know that without CL money RFC were finished.

We have Dave King wanting to go back to that busted flush model but worryingly it looks like those in charge want it too.

Well one good thing about their absence is the corresponding absence of that feeling of frustration/anger when Celtic played them or were in a tight points critical game against other clubs.

It is an experience that you need to have to know the feelings it generates.

If TRFC do reach a play off place which the 5 new guys might make more likely then whoever plays them will know that feeling in those matches.

It’s not nice especially when you know that the wider commercial considerations will be a factor influencing the referee and the result will not be purely on sporting merit.
