Prepared for a bit of stick here
Good bit- getting into EL Group stage is something i had written off a few weeks ago, Alkmaar are a good side,a better team would have put us away comfortably
Bad bit IMO- a lot happy to see Ange Ball tonight when leading up to this game, the passing out from the back was amateurish, and embarrassing at times, better or worse teams would have hammered us.
Rogic and Turnbull should have been hooked at HT,Bolingoli should have been on before Montgomery. McGregor had an unusually poor game, the goals conceded were up to our usual European standard. Eddy coming on coincided with AZ running out of steam a bit.We hung in there and got a great result for the Club. Another couple in,a bit more coaching time before Groups.Lastly,it’s much easier to pick attacking teams, than trying to protect a score, we can’t play in Europe as if we’re playing St Mirren, we need to be able to defend so much better.
The taking out of Ralston, 1st half, shoulda been a red…

Brilliant Celtic, absolutely Brilliant
As Alkmaar were a really good team, far superior standard to others playing today.
Consider this, Stephen Welsh, was our most experienced Celtic defender tonight (finishing the game) with under 35 first team games, and yet only 21.
Stephen marshalled a hugely inexperienced defence superbly, with the incident early on, not distrusting him. 👏👏👏
Adam Montgomery – very well done young mhan – 19, you have a huge future with Celtic, and will soon be our no1 left back
Anthony Ralston – Celtic to the core, and proving a highly valuable asset for Celtic – 22
Yes Hart and Starfelt have more experience, but not playing for Celtic.
We then had a 22 year old David Turnbull and 19 year old and 19 year old Liel Abada, with limited European experience
One we have our midfield working better to support the defence as well as the forwards, we will have a strong team structure.
Finally – we should be offering Odsonne a extension on significantly improved salary, as per Stan Petrov several years ago
Have an agreed release clause price, for next year
Hail Hail

First of all, I am thrilled we won the overall tie.
Yes of course AZ were the better team tonight. They are a better team, they play in a better League, there is little we can do about that.
However we managed to hang on and knock them out of Europa Cup.
We made two monumental cock ups & gifted them 2 goals but the culprits redeemed themselves in a hectic second half.
We are a work in progress, we will not meet any teams of the calibre of AZ in the SPFL, our job this year is to win the League not the Europa.
After the St. Mirren game there was euphoria here, we were going to pump the Huns and everyone else.
