Backs to the wall defending in 2nd half, but held firm. Christie my MOTM, Eddie did well when he came on holding the ball up, and Montgomery was solid – he is a star in the making. Onwards and upwards, a very good outcome over 2 legs against a quality team.

for me
Hart 7 . Ignore the goal and he was 9
Ralston 6 – brilliant in last 20 but lost for 70
Starfelt – 7. Brainfart but was great second half clearing and positioning
Welsh – 9 brainfart but excellent apart from that
Taylor – can’t mark him due to bad injury. guts though
Monty – 9 . Did everything right MOTM
Rogic – 5 , lacked fight and risky passes
McGregor 6 – average for him(which is still good), poor defensively
Turnbull 6 – toiled for 90 but didn’t get the space he wanted ,
Abada -7, good moments but worked very hard on that side. Happy for him
Furuhashi – 5 – didn’t think he got into it. seems harsh as he scored but he was bullied
Christie 6 – energy but gave it away too many times, did well in the close out
Soro 7 – high score due to lack of minutes but did well when he came on

Great result.
Hart and Starfelt made mistakes but I can tell they’re both going to be great signings.
Kyogo and Abada… great then poor but will be better for the experience.
I think getting to the EL groups, and having the chance to go top of the league on Sunday, is something we would all have been happy with 12, 6 or even 2 weeks ago.
On signings if I had to guess, I would say that we will go for Doige and either Nisbett or Boyle at Hibs.
I don’t think we’ve ever been seriously interested im the Greek #9 or Henry or Wind.
If Edouard can get a club befitting of him then he might still go but no way will he be signing for Brentfotd or Norwich or Brighton just so we can get a fee… Quite right he is too and we should roar him on to score 30 goals for us this season as we win the league.
Lastly….Moffat, Vata and Murray in the B team are certs to make it but I’ve never been surer about a player than I am about Bosun Lawal…. OMG….This guy could go to VVD levels.

Would that be Garry Caldwell that played in the team that beat Milan?
We have nowhere near the squad needed to be successful in Scotland and starting to progress in Europe.
The Celtic Board must back Ange and get in 3 more quality players this Window and probably 2 in January.
I have a lot of Trust in the Celtic Academy, after tonight, left back isn’t as scarey as before – Adam was outstanding in such a pressured game. I hope he can really kick on and make it to Regular….like Every game. High Hopes there.
Carl is obviously taking time to adjust, Frankly I’d go Bigger and pay whatever we can for the latest Bobo out there.
We need 2 CH’s IMO, a fitba player and a Bobo type and a proper left sided player.
We have 1.5 of a squad – Ange needs at least 2.
Our Board have to deliver.

Read back already. I think I’m in agreement with a minority and not so with the majority.
On the plus side. Welsh and Ralston battling it out for my MotM – again. Hart made 2 saves I think. They also missed a sitter. Some long range shooting was their other threat, and that was poor.
So defensively we must have done something right.
I did expect us to create lots of chances. We only created a couple apart from the goal.
I thought we were lucky to win the first leg by 2 goals. And we were also lucky not to lose this game by two goals.
AZ were a really good side. They play the same style as we are attempting but are slightly better at it. Which made me wonder why they resorted to long balls for the last 15 minutes.
Excellent that we have progressed in this competition rather than dropping down a “division”.

I agree with you. I think most posters have a bit of both, just in different proportions, which is perfectly natural.
Anyone who is relentlessly and ubiquitously positive or negative can be a bit jarring. There was a lot to be positive about tonight, but it seems to me totally unrealistic of posters not to expect others not to have adverse comment when they see one brain fart after another by Welsh, Hart and Starfelt within the space of a few minutes. Do they think fans are going to put their hands over their eyes and chant “Didn’t see that, Ne, Ne, Ne!?”
These comments are born from frustration, not lack of support. And a lot of it stems from the Board’s annual lack of timely support for the manager, and the signing if players AFTER play off rounds, rather than before.
