    I missed the first half and read back a lot of criticism for Starfelt. We’ve been saying for 18months -WE NEED A FKN CENTER BACK that welsh and Starfelt could flourish beside. The system Ange has them really exposes them.

     

     

    2nd half Starfelt, Welsh and Ralston were outstanding!!

     

     

    Montgomery should heart and composure and I like him better than weak Taylor.

     

     

    Soro should have started – these games don’t suit Rogic

     

     

    BRILLIANT RESULT FOR CELTIC AND ANGE

     

     

    NOW BOARD – we qualified , now spend the money to get those deals over the line you tight fisted incompetent shower of tentative etc’s ….

    A result we could not have foreseen a month ago- this is a new team, there will be bumps on the road and we still need a few in but I am a happy man tonight.

    In Scotland, I expect commentators to be obviously anti-Celtic and I have no time for them. Even worse though are the ex-Celts who kowtow to their masters.

    Well done Celtic.,thought AZ made us work hard but we prevailed.i see Christie is getting it a bit tonight, proved my theory with some tonight that some folk have no idea about football. St Tams I don’t think Starfelt is a dud. HH ☘

    Great result — poor performance that improved in the second half.

     

    AZ are / were an effective team with a strong game plan but little top rank class.

     

     

    For a team of cloggies — they were a team of cloggers.

     

    The MIB gave them carte blanche and how did they use it.

     

    Two feet into JH’s chest by the sub and nothing said.

     

    Consequently playing against 12 — good training for the weekend.

     

     

    As for the team we still have huge amounts to develop and learn.

     

    As in the first game the MF was not up to the task at hand.

     

    CMcG — as has been noted many times — couldn’t keep weans oot a close.

     

    Shocking display of indecision / lack of energy / ball winning / lost in no-man’s land.

     

    DT — just not involved enough and when he was he never got out of second gear.

     

    TR — tried to beat one man too many everytime the ball came to him.

     

     

    We had more class than AZ but we are collectively weak and passive with a misfiring MF and a confidence deficit all across the tea.

     

     

    We desperately need 2 starters and 4 squad players in before the end of the month.

     

    Plus replacements for any that leave.

    Haven’t looked at the comments during the game and neither have I read back. Soooo…. What a difference it made taking off Rogic, putting Christie through the middle with Edouard up front! BUT! Montgomery at Left back? Great game for the kid! Starfeld (oops) had a great second half. Maybe he needs not to have time, made a ton of clearances of dangerous balls. Ralston as well, Walsh as well. Long balls over the midfield? Expect tons of ‘em on Sunday. Abada will run riot this year I expect but Kyoto looks like he needs protection.

    FS we nearly selt that, deserved to go through against a shower of durty bams allowed to barge boot high late tackles with a referee who allowed it, we could have scored more on the break and just delighted Sutton is a moaning git Celtic deserved this over the 2 legs and we gave them 2 goals. Brilliant Celtic guts in abundance.

    Let’s be honest when the draw was made very few of us thought we would get through. Now we have the usual suspects on running us down. Most of us know we are a work in progress but some of the comments during the game were embarrassing. Faithful through and through? Not convinced

    Huns and The Donegal Spider can try and set the narrative, we’re thru and that’s what matters, points win prizes and I’d fancy us to be pretty decent at home.

     

     

    We def need quality additions and soon, especially at the back, we need midfield help too we can’t keep playing the same players at least not in the longer term.

     

     

    Of course they want Eddie sold, it improves their teams chances but lessens the quality of us and the SPHell

    Well done Starfelt and Hart.Both made huge blunders which could have ruined their game, but they sucked it up and got us the result.That took guts. Both deserve praise and support going forward

    I loved tonight. This is what teams in other leagues feel every other game. We are only happy when we totally trash teams due to our position as biggest shark in Scottish pond. but tonight we dumped a club that six weeks ago we would never have believed. onward and upward.

    Three 20+ year olds in the back 4 and all were magnificent.

     

    A new manager, playing a really exciting brand of football, new players all trying to tell.

     

    I’ve watched Celtic for nearly 60 years and some of you entitled “Chumps” make me sick.

     

    Away and pap peas at the buses if watching Celtic makes you so miserable.

     

    I was jumping about all over the living room at the end. What a result.

     

    Well done Ange and the Bhoys and in particular, Ralston, Montgomery, Welsh, Kyogo and Abada.
