Battle of the Lennons

917

It’s the battle of the Lennons at Celtic Park tomorrow with Danny enjoying the best run of form in his managerial career.  St Mirren are on 20 points, joint with St Johnstone, who they beat in Perth last month, and have already taken a point from Ibrox this season.  They are a technically sound team who will be more difficult to create chances against than Dunfermline were on Wednesday.  They can also play a bit.

Team formation will be enormously important for Neil Lennon.  This is the type of fixture he would previously select a 4-4-2, with two wingers, giving width to the game, but leaving a central two outnumbered by opponents who inevitably pack the middle of the field.  If Celtic persist with this strategy they’ll need to tighten up in the middle.

There is an interesting subplot to this weekend’s games.  Earlier this month there was a daunting 12 points between Celtic and Rangers.  A win for Celtic tomorrow would see that gap shrink to 4 points, with Rangers playing their game in hand away to Kilmarnock at lunchtime on Sunday.  As well as playing for three points tomorrow, Celtic have the opportunity to put pressure on Rangers.

    Cheers for that.

I think I’ll provide a detailed critique of the BBC Scotland document and maintain that either the BBC’s document should be withdrawn or all complainants be granted an opportunity to comment on it.

    Big Nan; classic :-)))

Re Huns game in the states –

Probably concocted by the huns PR team and their new commercial….errr…. supremo.

Look out for media plans to have Brutish and Yank troops parading before, after and during the ‘spectacle’.

I read it as well;if what RTC says is true-and he’s hardly known for telling porkies-then CW is using OUR money to fund his business venture.

And while contrary to usual business practice,it’s not even illegal!

I think I’ll ask my company to pay me nett of tax and NI,with a promise to HMRC to cough up at the year’s end. Put the money on my CQN nap weekly, and see if they’ll take an IOU when the time comes.

Why not? They’d STILL have more chance of getting money from me than from that pri(sorry)chancer!

  6. No word of a lie – I’ve just seen the absolute spit of Sammi in the Savoury Biscuits aisle in Tesco, a double, she was really hot too !

  7. THE BBC ——-

I don’t live in the UK —- I have no right to complain to the BBC -but —-

    If I did —–

I would be ” thinking outside the box ” and attacking The BBC Via Media Regulator -Ofcom and The House of Lords Communications Committee.

The BBC is terrified by the prospect of losing its right to be its own judge and jury . Ofcom very much wants to see the BBC lose that right . Many on the House of Lords Communication Committee want to see the BBC lose that right.

If the BBC wants to play politics then I would play politics too. I would be making noises to outside bodies with power and influence about The BBC breaching Corporation guidelines on accuracy and fairness . I would also be making noise about the BBC obfuscating / ignoring and delaying complaints re accuracy and fairness . Open another front.

  9. If the BBC are using the subsequent UEFA investigation to justify their commentators’ comments at the cup final, then that is a disgrace IMHO.

Were Dunfermline reported to the SFA by the match commander for their fans racial chanting at CP ?
