Just got into my hotel after another amazing day in Munchen. Thought Celtic were terrified of Bayern Munich in first half. I was a lone Tim among BM fans above their Ultras section. I joined in every song being belted out by our amazing away support. The Bayern fans were complimenting our support, and I taught a few of them This is how it feels to be Celtic, words. I was treated like a foreign VIP by the friendliest opposition fans I have ever met.
God bless Pope Benedict and his beautiful Bavarian flock.
I pray Bayern München get to Kiev now.
Wonderful, proper fitba supporters, they are.
Peace and Love in München tonight. Magical.
Haiil hail bobby and others
Thanks for the w we come back
Well

So
On a train from Allianz Arena back to Munich City Centre, 50/50 Bayern Munich/ Celtic supporters was an experience to remember forever. BM fans sat quiet, whilst Celtic fans sang one song non stop for the half hour journey.
“This was the day.
This was the day, that we lost away,
That we lost away.
We do not care,
We do not care,
We’re gettin mad wi it,
Gettin mad wi it!
The Bayern fans love our support now.
Warmed my heart to see such brotherly love among rival fans.
Delaneys,
canny have been that good a day if you are sober enough to post ;-)))

Delaneys,
thought we were poor tonight,
probably beat before a ball was kicked,
but we cant compete with the spend these teams have,
still 2 points better off than i thought we would be at this time.
Got back from Vegas last night, canny sleep,

Just a wee update

It’s been a tiring day, traveling into NY to watch the game.
I’m getting too old for the crowded commuter trains and climbing up and down stairs.
I’m a country and home bhoy at heart.
It’s hard to have a proper impression of a game in a crowded distracting bar.
However, my impression was that we were pretty good against an exciting technically superior team.
I admired their speed, control and attacking instinct.
Many CL games have become chess like slow motion stalemates, but this was an open, speedy and very skillful game.
For periods particularly in the first half, we even managed to retain possession.
There were a few let downs and some of our guys were overwhelmed but these are better judged on review in the cold light of day.
Over all we are better than we were last season but not as good as we will be next year.
My main concern is how well we recover for an energy sapping Hampden pitch on Saturday lunch time.
Kudos to both sets of fans who created an electric but friendly atmosphere.
Quick update before I succumb to tiredness
Yankees won 5-0 tonight to lead the ALCS series 3-2.
Game 6 and 7 if necessary in Houston Friday and Saturday, which would delight every bar owner.
Meanwhile in Wrigley Field, Kojo’s Dodgers trail the Cubs 3-1 after 6 innings.
Cubs must win to avoid the sweep.
Best sweeper in the business was the Brush, aka John Clark.
And it’s a very tired “Good night” from me.
Bayern were upset about the PSG game.
Jupp is a winner.
Hibs are gonnae feel it on Saturday.
CELTIC
Glasgow
CELTIC
Bayern were the real deal.
I cannae wait to host them.
When Celtic beat em and we will.
This place is gonnae be Rocking

John Hartson…..taking their foot off the grass….;-))
Didnae know The Wallace was playing .. ;-))
Heynckes is an old hand at strategy and targetted our flanks and pressured our midfield and defence when playing out in our own half. Second half better from us.
I just hope BR can be more defensive in our formation when we play away from home against teams like this … if we make the Europa League.
am i a loan voice in believing we should not enter this corrupt competition is money our god also now?we are lending are support for corruption i should not be surprised considering what sevco have been allowed to get away with with hardly a wimper so why rock uefa”s boat
Was BR shell-shocked…..or pissed after the game…lol……;-))
Good morning CQN from dull and mild East Devon.
Painful watch last night, beaten before a ball was kicked . Onwards and upwards.

Can’t stand that hurtin’ Hun McClean, he seemed to revel in our demise, surely BT could have found anyone but him.
Ianbhoy929:
But it’s great to know he’s hurting.
Best fans in the world and I STILL LOVE THE ‘TIC.
Here’s to many good days for the hurting brigade.
Off to get grandson.
Due to STILL being unwell I didn’t go out to watch the game, and relied on Radio Shortie. I did watch the ” Highlights” on ITV after 11pm.
Coming thru loud and clear was the fantastic singing on the Celtic support, despite the scoreline.
In the “highlights” show later on ITV…Chelsea were 2-0 v Roma….but from the moment that Roma scored their first goal to only be 2-1 down, and the cameras at times on the Chelski support…you couldn’t hear a thing !
That Chelski mob don’t have a clue how to support their team.
Anyways, we will give Bayern a real game of it at Celtic Park I’m sure….and God Bless all the Bhoys and Ghirls who travelled to Munich….you did yourselves and Celtic FC PROUD !
HH
Thank God it’s not 11/11 just now…don’t think I would make it.
I am sure I will ,be fighting fit for 11/11…and ready to be”Drinkin til I’m Stinkin”.

I wouldn’t single Craig Gordon out as being to blame for last night but I do feel we are coming to the end of a cycle that requires a change to be made.
Craig improved his passing unrecognisably but over the past few weeks he has become non chalant in his passing – almost as though he is tired of trying it and can’t be bothered. He labours delays. The 2nd half last night presented a demoralising period of passing at the back with Brown and the full backs being marked out of receiving the ball. The first half we also surrendered possession as Craig dropped the ball into touch about 15 yards from target.
The combination of Boyata and Gordon with Simunovic being out does not bode well. Last night isn’t a flash in the pan. We have become to reliant on dropping it back to Gordon. Packie Bonner used to be great at throwing the ball. Perhaps Craig could get Tierney to come short rather than Brown. There must be a variation that allows us to keep possession. Boyata being the linchpin means we are limited in long passing.
ok bhoys.BEATTIE
DONNELLY
FALLON……………….
Gordon’s distribution was very poor I thought.
And/but in terms options it seemed to be:
a) Chip a floaty bunker chip over the head of the ‘giant’ Gamboa and surrender a throw 30 yards out. Munich ballboys being as slick as the rest of the team meant swiftly back into play and instant pressure with (too) many players stranded upfield.
Or
b) Loft it generally towards the ‘giant’ Griff who was at all times surrounded by genuine giants……one of whom would then start another attack from the back.
Option b sometimes featured a lonesome Lustig standing only 15 yards from the goal line, thereby playing everyone onside.
It didn’t work. At all.
Nor did giving them such space and time.
I know there’s a well founded fear of being skinned by a great player. But stand soooo far off and they’ll simply play all around you. As they did.
Perspective however was provided by the Bayern bench!!!! Cheesy peeps, what calibre runs through that squad.
MOTM – still the green and white army. They came, the drank, they sang, they danced, the exuded boisterous kindness and warmth wherever I looked. Proud to be called a Tim.

Yeah ok
But surely you should throw in some of these.
Why cant we pick a simple pass
Why cant Rodgers be more pragmatic
Why didn’t we buy a centre half.
We need to invest more in the team
Maybe we should boycott this corrupt UEFA money fest.
Feel free to add more…
Onwards to Hibs
every body should read sandmans comments from last night. brilliant and straight from the heart ktf.
Our defence isn’t anywhere near good enough. Starting the bleeding obvious I accept, but if it’s so bleeding obvious why isn’t it being addressed.
Brendan is a smart guy, and one of the best managers we’ve ever had, so I’ll assume there’ll be 4 new faces brought in between Jan and July.
Lustig I’m afraid is over the hill, Jozo and Eric simply aren’t available often enough.
Makeshift teams will suffice domestically but won’t cut it with the big boys.
We are earning big at this level. The level of expenditure needs to be elevated to give us a realistic chance of at least being difficult to beat .
Our defensive frailties are causing us to gift goals.
Of course, finance differential being what it is, we will never cut it with the big players, but that same differential exists in Scotland, yet teams with a fraction of our money make it difficult for us at times.
A more solid defence will give the middle to front players more of a platform to perform.
* stating the obvious.

If you’re about:
Didn’t realise yer ould fella was signed from Fauldhouse?
Chris ( my youngest bhoy) has been following them for a couple years as he has an elderly relative he spends time with who resides in, and follows Fauldhouse.
Anyhow, tell tohg that Fauldhouse are going strong this year. Certs for promotion. I think with a bit luck in the draw they’ll go well in the Scottish too.
Twisty
Don’t be daft!
We do not require new, stronger, fit defenders.consistency in being inconsistent in defensive partnerships due to persistent injuries.
What we need is to stick with
