Better have Dresden expose some weaknesses

851

Technically we’re not preseason anymore, but today’s friendly away to Dynamo Dresden is an important step.  There are six weeks before the end of August, with five Champions League qualifier match days in that time.

Tuesday’s gentle introduction to competitive challenges was probably a good place to start for Celtic, this week’s run-out at Murrayfield will allow more of the squad to get some miles under their belt, but you can be sure we will meet our match at some point in the next six weeks.  It would be better for all that Dresden expose as many weaknesses as possible (at the time of writing that doesn’t look likely).

As usual, the mantra for these occasions is: no injuries.

Legia Warsaw are on league duty this evening. I hope we have someone watching.

Terrific to see Biton back. Shame on those who abused him on Twitter.

We need a potent striker badly.

PL had better invest in some fresh talent.

Good move Leigh hits shot on volley from Henderson cross but ball goes just wide.

  3. Went to our preseason loss a few years ago against Philadelphia Union and a homer ref let them get away with thuggish behavior.

One midfielder was particularly dirty and gave Brown a sore one.

Brown had a word and the guy mouthed off.

About 5 mins later Brown helped the guy leave on a stretcher.

This is why Brown is a vital component and leader.

This game means a lot to Germans and their coach by the looks of things. Maybe that’s why they’re so pumped up.

Izaguirre should have kicked that out of the stadium…

A shame we couldn`t have borrowed some of Izaguirre`s Honduras team mates for this game and give Dresden a taste of their own medicine.

    Really SFTB?

No way.I have generally been very positive about Celtic’s board and their vision but my patience with PL will run out if we don’t help our new manager. We have made millions so we should invest in some new players.
