As a young Celtic Fan growing up a stones throw from Celtic Park it was instilled in me that no matter what competition the team was in ,we always went out to try and win football games ,sadly I didn’t see that this evening ,We again are out of Europe ,we now concentrate on winning the league which isn’t guaranteed especially with some of the players that were on show tonight,Scales,Welsh,Starfelt ,Rogic,out of the four Starfelt will never come good ,Big Tam should be used as more of substitute,same as Welsh ,Scales another one who struggles,to finish I think it’s time Dane Murray came in to replace Starfelt also the young development goalkeeper needs a chance ,Joe Hart is a good stopper but his slowness and indicisions at times is stressful to watch.
The competition itself is a joke. Our performance was a bigger joke. Really embarrassing. I hope we don’t suffer a hangover but it wouldn’t surprise me. There’s too many negatives about tonight I wouldn’t know where to start. So I just hope and pray we can beat Hibs. Rogic and O Riley never again.

Don’t know about football but some studies done in Rugby.
Stats suggest injuries on plastic are more common if only playing on plastic either infrequently or starting to use it a lot.
The bodies of those who play regularly, e.g. every home game, apparently get used to it eventually and injuries reduce.
Reading a lot of derogatory remarks about this ‘third tier’ competition we’ve been knocked out of but the fact is, there are teams in the Europa league who are as good as or better than some of the teams in the CL and teams in the conference league who are as good as or better than some of those in the EL .
Not that we are currently in a fit state to compete in any of them .
At least we now get to play Dundee United in the cup on the Saturday.

Dortmund staying well away from McGregor at corners. They must have watched him diving. Their corners have been poor so far.

I find it difficult to get too upset about losing to a side who where obviously a step up. We’ll be able to assess how good Bodo are as the competition progresses but we’ve bigger games on our horizon.
For Sunday, we should be able to field a fresh side and hopefully get a massive win. 3 points come 2 pm on Sunday and I’ll care even less about tonight.

It’s not over, but they are beating Dortmund 5-2. Where are Germany ranked in Europe?
