Celtic and Hamilton will both want this game out of the way

73

Hamilton Accies’ great talent is being able to take points off those around them.  They lost to St Johnstone in October, but that was their only defeat to teams in the bottom half of the league since the opening day of the season.  Between now and Boxing Day they play St Mirren, Hearts and St Johnstone, the three teams below them in the table – and all at New Douglas Park (or the Fountain of Youth Stadium, if you insist).

How they perform in those games will go a long way to determining whether or not they are a Premiership team next season.  Their away trips to Celtic Park and Pittodrie between now and then will not feature in their priorities.

This is a game Celtic want to put to bed with as little exertion as possible and Hamilton will want out of the way before preparing for St Mirren on Saturday.  We would do both teams a favour by scoring a few early on and cruising through the second half.

Agree entirely with N’tcham, I have been saying it for ages, he is far too inconsistent. In fact even playing well, I don’t think that he quite sits in to the team somehow. If there are suitors, let him go, as long as the money (transfer fee and wages) was reinvested in the team.

Can you clarify that last statement please ?

Note Res 12, LNS etc + old/new ticket arrangements. .

Two cheeks of the same a*** I’m afraid.

  5. I said in the summer, sell N’tcham and use ALL of it for a Wanyama package.

7 million would give Victor approx 70k a week for two years, 10.5 million, 3 years.

Worth it? He probably won’t come for less and he’s a lot more consistent than N’tcham.

  6. Griffiths needs a goal, and game time but NL might stick with Lewis Morgan to start as the makeshift striker, even though he’s cooled from the Rennes game. Add Mikey Johnston to the mix, and it covers for Eddy in league games especially.

Frimpong IMO will play the next two games, and it’ll be good if Bolingoli gets game time, to replace Taylor at some point tonight, and again on Sunday.

El Younoussi likewise unlikely to start but game time needed if fit enough for the bench.

  7. PP – from this morning I agree with Police dictating that they should play on a Friday and why they would not want them on a Saturday at 5.30pm.

Wanyama is not the player he was and Lenny has said he’s not looking for a midfielder. And Lawwell would be replaced if he did such a deal. Celtic would only play those wages for a short term loan of 6 months or so and it would be sanctioned by DD.

  10. Aye, Wanyama would give us that sublime one touch play that saw Hayes score at Ibrox, or the deft chip in Rome that sent us all into raptures?

Jaysus. I wonder what people want from our players sometimes.

Ntcham, with the head screwed on, is the best technically gifted midfielder in Scotland by far.

  11. I think it is good news that we are not being linked to any strikers. In a contrarian way, that could mean that a decent acquisition arrives in Jan.

Based purely on the short lead time from rumour to signed in the summer. I think we were all surprised by some of the great signings we got; whilst some of us were moaning that we weren’t seeing any movenent via the media

sorry, bit of a ramble and probably nonsense!

hope for 2-0 HT and 4-0 FT with no injuries tonight
