If you were an opposition manager planning to face Celtic, what would you do? At Ibrox we will meet a team that attacks us, but on all other occasions, we will face a packed defence intent on shutting us out. That’s not all. Every opponent will play for free kicks in the final third and corners, when possible.
It is not difficult to gain possession – then a foul – in wide positions 30 yards from your opponent’s goal. This would be the staging post I’d aim for when facing Celtic. We are winning games but set-piece crosses into the box continue to be poorly defended. We are the football equivalent of a boxer with a big punch and a glass chin.
If I was Dundee United manager Tam Courts, who face Celtic in the Scottish Cup a week today, I would play for penalties. Failure from 12 yards has been a regular feature of Celtic performances for years. It has not cost us a trophy since 2016, but until we improve this crucial part of the game we are asking for a sore one.

Was it not just raining?
The first time I ever saw a team parking the bus was Go Ahead Deventer from the Netherlands.
Celtic thrashed them 6-0 away in the ECWC. A big crowd turned up at Celtic Park for the second leg expecting an avalanche of goals. The Dutch side were on damage limitation.
Celtic struggled to a 1-0 victory and were booed off the park at the end.

Huddersfield go 1-0 in the FA Cup at Nottingham Forest with a very well worked corner. The placement and movement of the Yorkshire team baffled the Forest defence, ( including ex Sheep McKenna ). Perfect corner.
I just had a wee look at Follow Follow to see if they were as nervous as many CQNers are ( including myself) re the destiny of the title this year. I have to say that the majority of the posts I read were indistinguishable from the posts on here. Quite an eye-opener for me.
I think the biggest difference was that they didn`t seem to have any multiple Kev J style posters :-))

If I dont want to pass it onto friend or family, I can put my ticket up for sale online via the “ticket exchange” where it can be bought by a registered member. If the ticket is sold on the exchange, I get the value credited back for future ticket purchases (including next year season ticket).
Only registered members can buy tickets through the online exchange – membership costs £40 per year and also acts as the season ticket waiting list.
Also, a few thousand tickets are available for registered members every week – but you need to be quick out of the blacks to buy one of those on day and time they become available.
It seems a reasonably fair system designed to fill the stadium and generate additional revenue through the membership scheme.
