CELTIC have been linked with FC Copenhagen defensive midfielder Thomas Delaney.
The Danish international star, of Irish-American descent, hinted at a move during the summer transfer before his contract ends next year.
Hoops scouts watched the £1.5million-rated 24-year-old during a friendly match at the weekend.
Several English clubs have also been alerted to his potential availability.
Delaney, a Danish team-mate of New Bhoy Erik Sviatchenko, said: “I would like to go abroad and test myself, but it’s hard to say when it will be.
“There would have to be a proper bid and it’s up to me to earn it.
“It’s all about timing and it is difficult to plan anything in football.”
The Danish season resumes this weekend after the winter break and scouts will be watching the left-sided midfield man who has won five caps for his country.
Celtic are certain to be among the onlookers.
