Neil Lennon accepted responsibility for the tactical decision to start yesterday’s game with three at the back, saying, “We thought the three would suit us, but that didn’t seem to be the case. We looked a little bit flat the first 10-15 minutes and I don’t know why.”
Hibernian scored during this period, which may or may not have been a result of the defensive line-up, but if anything, Celtic were even flatter after they went to four at the back. The game was a throwback to the days when Gordon Strachan’s teams worked hard but seldom inspired.
The midfield didn’t dominate enough of the ball to prevent Hibs creating several good chances and was unable to craft a clear-enough opening. With Charlie Mulgrew on the field we are always dangerous, and Kris Commons has a better sense of where the goal is than anyone at the club, but without them we grasp to Paddy McCourt, who only seems to get the call when we’re in trouble.
So where do we need to strengthen next month……………?

I returned to the Catholic faith after many years and he has been mocking this fact. The comment about “ripping off priests” is a continuation of that. Very Christian-like behaviour wot?
I suffered a heart attack nearly 2 years ago and he has mocked that relentlessly as well with comments about “sick notes” and “fake heart attacks”.
Yes, such a nice chap.
Sorry you have been dragged into it.
You see, his head is so far up his own backside, he cannot perceive of anyone on CQN daring to question him, ergo they are eventually accused of being me in another guise, because nobody can possibly disagree with him unless it is a conspiracy and a personal vandetta.
Solipsism is his middle name.
The boy jinky.

Nothing like the old burglar alarm going off at 2am , here, to wake you & get the adrenaline flowing. Putting it down to the high winds( happens occasionally)tho I tried to blame Sally and Sevco as I sent Mrs AB to look for the intruders.. ( only joking, I was right behind her!)..

I’d be surprised if Awe Naw denied it…but ye never know… As for hunting me down, he’s already achieved that, in the Phoenix… He failed to answer many of my questions…. ;-)))

And to those crazy folks anxious for us to lose the Hooperman.
Youse is totally and utterly nuts.
The man is is a striking colossus, questionable first touch notwithstanding whose goals per game ratio is second to none …..at least as far as any player currently pulling on a Celtic jersey is concerned….
I’m happy to see him stay in Paradise until Lenny wants him to go or we get ten million smackers for him.
Bjmac.
The phoenix was that the pub in the gorbals.
Morning CQN,
As the year 2012 bids us farewell, I would like to wish you all a Happy 2013…..

Know the pub you meen.
The one i remember was at the bottom of the flats on cally rd in the gorbals.
After the game my granda and uncles would drink in there as me and my brother played football outside.
Three more days of moonhowling then back to the grind.
Have a good new year bt.
Good morning fellow Celts from dear old Isan up here in north east Thailand. I am aware that I am in moon howling territory so here goes…. to anyone with any negative thoughts on this last day of 2012 that club we used to play against and was the cause of so much hate and poison is DEAD. Deader than DEAD. And they won’t be back. Now tell me that feels better!?! To all CQN’ers I hope you have a fantastic new year and that 2013 brings you only love and happiness. HH.
Hamiltontim.
Sorry about that.hh

Was that pub called Treanors?
“Capitalism is the astounding belief that the most wickedest of men will do the most wickedest of things for the greatest good of everyone.” – John Maynard Keynes, British economist.
Roll on 2013.
It will be Dickensian.

Think you could be right. There were several along Cally Rd though until they started pulling all the old tenements down.
Bjmac. Ht.
I’ll ask my dad tomorrow.
Sure it was the phoenix though.

Treanors was further up.

A Guid New Year tae yin an` a`
2012
A strange year for me.
You don’t need to hear the bad bits.
But the moment that crosses my mind for me.
Standing in my mums living room, surrounded by family, with my hands glued to my face watching the last seconds of the Barca game.
And being quiet for a bit after that.
Then…eventually…
“Ah wish Uncle had seen that.”

You rumour monger you…yes we did live together for a while.
Your Jethro Tull like seed drill can cause such gossip :)
Bjmac many of us failed to answer “the questions” in the Phoenix that night.
My apologies. I’m not too good with sports questions outside of Celtic.
Even though some may cast aspersions on my Celtic knowledge too! Although I did once
come in 2nd on the Friday night CQN Celtic quiz once outta 15. The Token Tim can confirm.
I should extend my sports knowledge to include the Scottish National team. However, I remembered that being a Scotland supporter is like being the over-optimistic parents of the fat kid on sports day. Still it’s better than supporting Norn Iron. Kids on remand.

Good morning friends from East Kilbride where, after a night of torrential rain the final morning of the year has brought a currently dry though gloomy start to the day.
