I see very poor ball control, very poor link play and lack of effort – in short I don’t see a player that would make it anywhere in a decent league

I think he has decent ball control and decent link play, but I totally agree with your point on effort. Unless it is at least a 80:20 in his favour he has a lack of appetite.
There is no way he would have scored the one that Stokes scored yesterday, where he got to the ball ahead of two big defenders.
On leagues – he didn’t cut it in Spain or Germany, and whilst there may be good or different reasons, this is his last shot at the big time.
If he doesn’t make it with us it’s back to Finland or a middle ranking Swiss / Austrian level team where he can team up with Lassad and Bangura !

Best league game of the season yesterday. In FS2 row 9.
Unfortunately, after many year, I have to give up my season ticket along with my two young bhoys.
But hope to be back soon….will miss the company around me. Had some great highs and the odd low.
Best memories, beating Barca 2-1. My oldest bhoy, then 13, was almost speechless for 3 days afterwards. Funnily enough in row 8 behind me were two barca fans, youngish guyand his girlfriend. They spent the whole game filming the crowd and shaking everyone’s hand. Said it was an unbelievable atmosphere and warm welcome. I explained…we are celtic…
Also took him and my wife to the last game vs oldco….even she was bouncing around and doing the huddle.
