A very assured performance by Tierney at left back which should guarantee him a run in the team. A comfortable win against an abysmal United team who on today’s performance will be lucky to avoid relegation.
Worth pointing out the display from those in the north east corner of the stadium. Brilliant from the Green Brigade.
It was great seeing the young man play today. How many others would surpass the incumbents if given a chance by the boss and the support ?
Shame that Liam and Darnell are out on loan both performed well when given a run for Celtic.

I can’t imagine how much torment her daughter will be going through.
Children can be more resilient than we think at a time of personal tragedy . I know your family will all rally round her.

When a person is in the prime of life and is taken so suddenly on her wee weans birthday, words cannot describe the pain that engulfs the family. Grand result today . Even although United were a poor team we played some nice stuff . Why can’t we play like that more often . I hope the team push on from here now . We’ve got some hard fixtures coming up , more of the same as today ,will see us take care of our challengers .

Shocking sad news.
Every day should be cherished. …none of us know the day nor the hour when it can all be taken away from us.
As you all probably know, Jurgen Klopp has just been appointed manager of Liverpool fc (a small football club in a wee town in England). Anyway having just watched the second half of the Liverpool v Southampton game, (having returned from Celtic Park where they had obviously lost a shilling fur the meter till Lawwell was mugged and forced to switch the floodlights on) it was brilliant to see the Liverpool first goal accompanied by a clip of Klopp’s clap…… Chinese fans have a slightly different take on matters.

You began your post saying “based on today’s efforts…” and then proceeded to drop Efe. May I politely ask why? I do remember an incident just before half time which could have been punished but in the main I thought he was one of our better performers today.
As comfortable a victory as we will a achieve all season. But I doubt we learned anything from today’s game other than the standard in Scottish football is in serious decline. I know you can only beat the team in front of you but United were barely even a team.

Thought young Keiran Tierney done very well
Simonuvic had a very decent home debut
Boyata showed improvement, as did Armstrong and GMS
Now for the negative – that clown Thomson, got 5 decisions wrong in the first 18mins alone, all given against Celtic
Dependant on highlights tonight, watch him at Broonies Goal, he was looking at his linesman, to make a decision on the ball being out on the touch line, so he could chop off the goal

With respect, isn’t the linesman better placed for that decision. There was no doubt in my mind (I’m in Main Stand, front) that the WHOLE ball wasn’t out but it was pretty close nonetheless.

The ‘based on today’ was more regards to including Jozo and Tierney. I think Lustig is by far the best right back at the club both so would select him for a really important game.
Efe did OK today but i recall the mistake on 27 mins (took a mental note). Thankfully Rankin blazed over but i thought at the time it would likely have been punished in a European game.
I have said before that Efe and Izzy have cost us in big games one too many times. I would use them until the end of this season for the benefit of the squad but for me their Celtic careers are over.
Ps. for the record I’m fairly sure Ronny will pick Johansen on Wednesday ahead of GMS.
