Must say, RobertTressell is one of the posters I look out for on here, and it’s great to see you posting more frequently lately. Cheers,

  2. Big Wavy, after Tuesday we were likely to come in short on confidence, a smaller than usual crowd was also a given, a motivated, if limited, team who looked to defend what they had at 0-0. All made for a hard day at the office, but the result will start(and only start) to build that confidence back.

Then we can build momentum again, win against AIK, the Diets, AIK and we can go to Ibrox with a better mindset.

I do think that game matters this season, especially if Sevco progress in Europe and win their league game next week. We need a pin to burst their bubble.

  3. Dunfermline played bloody well today. Their blocking around their box was very impressive. I thought they would run out of steam but they kept going to the end.

We were dominant throughout game but couldn’t break them down. Denied a stone wall penalty as well.

In the end we won the game and in the Cup that is all that matters.

    indeed

comment was food for thought for me.

Now can we buy the Dumfermline defence

  5. More relief than joy in that result and performance.

I expected more of a fighting reaction. We were dominant but fairly routine in our play.

The most pleasure I took in today was seeing those bigots in the Pars support, who were down for the weekend taking in tomorrow’s match with their favourite team, leave beaten.

They joined the ranks of Hearts, Falkirk and Airdrie today

  6. Go tell the Spartim on

If we make any signing that could make a difference then a big brute of an enforcer in midfield would make the most significant difference at this point.

We def miss a captain or leader in games

  7. Thank goodness we beat that 10 man defence.

My hearing isn’t good but the Dunfermline “support” seemed to enjoy singing some sectarian garbage. I never thought they were like that. Jim Leishman wouldn’t approve, I’m sure. As Paul67 said yesterday, we are on our own in this sad sad country.

  8. Neil has to form a whole new Back 4.

    That isnae easy.

    C’mon Neil Francis Lennon.

There are so many ready to derail Celtic any chance they get.

    Neil is Brave Brave undaunted.

The Celtic Board Must back the Man FFS.

Victor Strolling out @ Ibrox will mean so much. Broonie knows himself he cannae dae whit he did just 2 years ago, nevermind before that.

They are gonnae maul Broonie. Victor won’t be mauled.

Thank you for the kind words Mr Bunnet! You are too kind. The same right back at you.

A mixture of things had kept me limited in my contributions. Then I remembered that if you read between the nonsense and the gut reaction in defeat and victory, this is still the best Celtic forum going. Plus a had a bit of time on my hands lately……

  10. Congratulations to the puppet today. A victory over the mighty Pars is to be savoured.

    Tick tock Lennon.

Confidence a bit low, so always gonna be a grind today but we need to lift ourselves for AIK on Thursday about 3 or 4 levels. At the moment any result seems possible, but a win in the AIK tie and then a win against Hearts and I think we will be ready for Newco. Remember, they also have to negotiate a difficult tie against Warsaw so moods and form can turn around quickly. Huns also poor against Killie, and lucky against Hibs with the sending-off. Also, Huns have not kept a clean sheet for their last 4 games, Killie – 1, hibs 1, and Mittland-2 and -1 so not exactly a settled back-4 either. I think the mission is to get close to a settled back-4 and maybe one Def Midfielder, and with the attacking play we can look to get some good wins in the Europa and stay ahead in the League.

  12. just in from match,

thoughts , what a struggle that was.

my initial assumption of boli boli and julien has not changed from when i said i hope we haven’t bought 2 pigs in a poke , well we have and i suggest as the transfer window is still open we should move them on pronto , as their fellow teammates say ‘they are pish’.

Today was one of those games when you hoped that Celtic would spring back to life, score a handful of goals and progress in one of the three competitions we are playing games in over the next couple of weeks. Doesn’t always work out that way of course, but the record books will show that we are in the next round of the League Cup. One down two to go.

Oh and another thing, after the defeat by Cluj, Scott Brown took to twitter to gauge reactions on social media. Liked a few while he was there. Let me just repeat that, our Captain took to the Twittersphere after crashing out of the CL to gauge the reaction. What kind of dressing room culture would encourage or permit that kind of behaviour? Answer the one that Ronny Deila struggled with during two years at Parkhead. The one that Brendan pretty much eliminated during his first two seasons. And one that poses a bigger risk to us than any potential rival.

  14. Today’s “result” was massive … every “Celtic” fan has been on a downer since Tuesday … the Huns are reinvigorated (it’s an August thing) am pretty sure the players have also been on a downer since Tuesday, they want the CL more than the fans … until the Sev bubble bursts we will get it from all angles … as long as Celtic keep winning (or getting to next round of a cup) … Tuesday still sore, today could have been a lot worse … even though Europe is massive, today’s extra time victory keeps the domestic cup run going 36+mths or so (3yrs+ at a guess) without defeat, teams all over the world would like that record …

Hopefully AIK On Thursday will be on the receiving end of another one of our Celtic’s slumps :-)

We’ve had a few during these treble treble days

Only important thing about a cup game is you’re in the next round.

As for the away support, did they take tutorial lessons from the deadly bears😈

Also is Paul67 on some form of commission for forcing users to login to see the pages, bloody nonsense

  18. LUCKY CODY

Why would you use ‘puppet’ to describe our manager ?

you might not like him , you might disagree with his choices ?

you may well think he shouldn’t be in the job , but he is and hopefully will get the team playing / defending better .

i know its all about opinions but ….

Tuesday was a sore one .. but my point about the Huns is everything is always good .. I am not dismissing them but i think Celtic are still far superior and welcome the chase from all of the Spl :-)
