Stonewall penalty to the huns or not it seems the only three certainties in life are :-

    Death

    Taxation

    Penalty to ” Rangers ”

HH, our journey is only beginning.

Hate to admit this but you know the question about the ‘Dog Star’?

That woulda foxed me an aw….

We are a very nervous support — 3 to 30 minutes was particularly bad and getting worse.

There were lots of empty seats — probably going above one thousand from what I could see from the TV — north stand middle lower was particularly bad.

The main reason would appear to be the drift to the standing section and the ensuing overcrowding.

As mentioned earlier we are heading towards the middle of the Jungle standards of overcrowding — that is when the crowd was above 50K in Old Board attendance numbers..

    Not good.

Call and response — it took two attempts to get it right.

The lack of recent practise meant that the first attempt was a bit of a mess with the response coming back far too early. The second attempt was much better.

SKY turned up the volume regarding the crowd noise in comparison to other games.

Somebody from down south must have entered the party mood and told the locals to lighten up.

    :-)

A nervous support … you do realise football is a sport

Nervous should be if your club might not exist

Winning or losing is just sport … thankfully we win hunners so the nerves are usually going come May :-)

They usually return for the CL qualifiers ..: but not this year, we can park the nerves until the CL draw and our first game in September

Champions again don’t you know 🎵🎵🎵

You are indeed correct (as usual) about my comment on KM.

I let my bitterness towards pricks like him, Ferguson,Rae,Boyd, McCoist etc get the better of me.

  6. You would have thought that teams in Scottish Premier League would have cotton on to Sevcos tactics on them getting a world record of getting penalties, and a inquiry into Taviener who is there penalty taker ,I’ll bet he has made a fortune from the Bookies

Gerry 6.18. I’m quite sure you are smart enough to engineer a few days in Dublin for a few like minded drunks. If you want to be me. 😂😂

THE BLOGGER FORMERLY KNOWN AS GM on 8TH MAY 2022 4:38 PM

Riddle me this, had to pop out in the car for 10 minutes and the radio was tuned to Sportsound, who are banned from covering hun games. Instead, they had Willie Miller and a bunch of ex Huns watching it on tv and waxing lyrical about all things ‘Rangers’.

Do they do this every week?

Similar experience thought I was going to vomit in the car, nauseating sycophantic toe-curling hun love in with Kenny Millar, Broadfoot, Mcintyre cheerleading Sevco to C/L glory next season………hunbelievable………………Kenny Millar has went full-on up to your knees bigot

  9. I see sevco women won their 55th title today.

Quite remarkable as David Coleman would say

    Re quizball:

Can any one remember the former Celt who took part in the winning Dunfermline side ?

    Clue:A big defender.

GFTB@Champions again don’t you know…do not let them forget.

  11. Set sky to record highlights of the game at 11 this morning – was some EFL guff – noticed it was on this afternoon so set to record again – this time the women’s football overran and got 3 mins or 15 sec after ok.

    Whit !!!!

I can hardly get out in Coatbridge never mind Dublin, my 13yr old daughter isn’t called Colombo because she wears a trenchcoat

It’s because it’s far easier getting Colombo off my trail than her

  14. Greenpinata on

    Madmitch,

There is quite a complex issue regarding crowds, size of stadia etc going forward.

We have a squeeze on living standards and disposable income. When does football especially at Parkhead become unaffordable for the ordinary working person.

My mate just renewed @ £717 plus rounding off for the Celtic Foundation.

He has held his ST for decades but categorically states that if goes up next season he will not renew.

We are heading to a situation where only the richest in society or those with no commitments will be able to afford a ST. Ordinary fans may have to try and pick their individual games.

Our prices are the highest in Scotland, on average we do not earn what Londoners earn ( Circa £40 k ) . But yet some London clubs are cheaper than us.

If only the Prawn Sandwich brigade can afford tickets, then of course our atmosphere will suffer.

I really don’t have a viable answer as we need to grow our team. I hear talk and aspiration to increase our capacity, in particular a major revamp of our main stand.

However the question must be asked, why increase our capacity if nobody can afford it.

Affordable football must be equated in our strategy going forward.

    HH.

Every title is amazing but somehow I just love this one even more (maybe recency bias) … I loved titles from big Billy to Ange … personally still a massive Neil Lennon fan and probably is still my favourite ever player / manager (well maybe 2nd as a player to the Maestro) but this title is all about Ange …

A few have mentioned it but this title has a whiff of the centenary season about it

    Celtic is a football romance

    Loving it 🍀

BHOYJOEBELFAST, I claim my prize. A night oot at the Rock. All expenses paid. Second prize, Peador O’Donnells, Derry City. 😂

  17. Bhoyjoebelfast on

Agreed Gerry, about Neil Lennon did a tremendous job under trying circumstances with the attacks that he had to endure. We will never know what that man went through,we can but guess.

Any how champions we are and deservedly so.

    BRRB:

Passed the Rock an hour ago…plenty of Celtic clad chaps about.

John Cushley,by the way good answer.

Ant is the here and now … we can all post rubbish online but am pretty sure 30yrs on from now Celtic fans will appreciate Neil for everything he has done for our club … am not looking to try and convince others, I love him and some others might not so it’s not an argument I will ever respond to as I know am right ;-)

Time is a great healer … was gutted when Brendan bolted, when Kieran left … but I appreciate both if them

Celtic is our constant … 🍀💚

  20. Ant ? … Ange

Auto correct then changed to Angel … maybe autocorrect is on the money :-)

  21. Saint Stivs on

Dearie me, the North Stand centrist, (prwn sandwich and padded seat section, overcrowded into the green brigade are causing overcrowding. and the call and response was rubbish cos it took two attempts to get started, only on tv did it sound like that

you would think yon fella doesnt know celtic park.

  22. bigrailroadblues on

Bhoyjoe, I’m an absolute mine of useless information. My old pal Garry Duncan called me a madman. 😂. I wish he was here.

    Gerry:@8.00

As I say Neil Lennon as player and manager, was a hate figure for the sevco masses and indeed for a section of ‘our own’ support. He played and managed to his best and the treatment he got from all quarters was a %%%%%%% disgrace.

  24. The Blogger Formerly Known As GM on

Lions roar, yes, it was very surreal.

I couldn’t bring myself to switch off because I couldn’t quite believe what I was hearing.

You could listen to podcasts and watch content on Youtube produced by rabid Huns and struggle to find stuff so blinkered and sycophantic.

    St Stivs why bother?

I know, I know, but how else am I going to convince people in a pub that “sure its me mad mitch”.

maybe he will be at cqn corner for trophy day, with ernie and JHB,

  26. bigrailroadblues on

Bhoyjoebelfast, I am not happy with criticism of Neil for a lot of reasons.

    Re season ticket prices

The £707 seats are those in the prime positions in the stadium.

Children’s season tickets in these same areas can be had for £55 and continue to be discounted as long as the child is of school age. After the age of 18, a student discount is applied if the student is in full time education. Again, available in the prime areas. Of our four tickets, the two younger members of our group benefitted from this for a period till they were 24.

Next year I will be 65 and will receive a discount on my ticket.

The picture of our season tickets averaging over £700 is certainly misleading in the area where we sit as there are lots of over 65s and youngsters of varying descriptions who are getting discounted tickets of some form.

While I have a great deal of sympathy for people who are finding it hard to pay for their season tickets, I do think that the club do well in looking after the older supporters and also in helping parents to be able to introduce the next generation of supporters.

However, the image of 55, 000 people paying over £700 for a season ticket is not correct.

  28. NFL made a George Hunt of his last season in charge at us.

He is only human but not above criticism.

We lost some good people this last few years.

Posted on sentinel Celts this morning with a wee Delaneys Dunky nod to Ange … I remember you and Garry meeting up for a Guinness or 12, my abiding memory was in the Bon Accord the day Argentina v France in the last World Cup … all day long Garry Bhoy would just shout “viva la France” … as I was leaning the pub that day heading your Charing x train station with a few bevvies on me … Garry was outside having a “puff” … he shouted “where are you going” then a big hug with a … “Viva la France” … he would have loved that yesterday … gone but never forgotten

    Don’t disagree … but

    Global pandemic

No fans to push the team on

And finally … I judge Neil on what he done for us not what he didn’t do

Hope the wee grandson loved yesterday …
