    Hibs got their tactics right , most of their play was to attack Frimpong , who is getting poorer by the game playing at right wing back , poor positional sense when trying to defend and doesn’t do enough going forward.

     

    oh and by the way , looked like we were playing on a coo’s park , shocking condition considering what we paid to get it laid.

    I’m informed (no measure of reliability) that the young team did heavy leg work for training yesterday. Obviously not knowing some would be needed to play today.

     

     

    Would explain why youngsters who should be spritely were often leaden footed. And why young Harper had bad cramp so early.

    So disappointed for the guys who stepped in tonight .

     

     

    The league was well gone so no angst from me .

     

    We have to regroup and concentrate in making sure we finish second and not let things slip any further.

    Yet more points dropped because of a late dead ball situation. How bad are we at defending these free kicks and corners. You just knew it was coming.

    The lack of comment from the hierarchy is ridiculous. The fans should be told what the game plan is now. The not knowing is a killer

    I thought wecwould be back in it by the weekend. A full strength side batters that hibs team tonight. Potential of the sevco bus running out of gas at motherwell but they can now play without any fear whatsoever.

     

     

    Even this optimist accepts the league us gone now.

     

     

    But let the record show it wasn’t on the players that stepped up tonight.

    Team showed great commitment tonight and unlucky not to get the 3 points .

     

    However, make no mistake about it , Lawwell has turned our club into a laughing stock.

    Supersutton.

     

    Never Ming the heavy legs. They’re too easy pushed off the ball all step overs and not much else. No upper body strength.

    We need (among many other things) a team that can go at it for 90 minutes on a heavy pitch . Puffing like part timers.

    These young players have very little football in the last 10 months.Some of them are our future the post Brexit/Covid world is going to be totally different and we need to suffer and let some of these guys mature.

    I’m sorry guys , while Duffy had a relatively decent game I cannot forget his previous panicky performances.

     

    Against the huns he looked totally out his comfort zone. Going forward he cannot be in our plan.

     

     

    We can take certain positives from tonight, but I don’t think our experienced players influenced the game the way we would have wanted them to.

     

    I wasn’t kidding when I said I forgot Callum McGregor was playing.

     

     

    I liked the way Gavin Strachan encouraged the team from the touchline. It made a pleasant change.

     

     

    We now build for the future and all bets must be off regarding inevitable change.

     

     

    In summary: I actually quite enjoyed the game, but was gutted at the end. The league wasn’t lost tonight and I’ve seen much, much worse performances this season.

    We are playing like 11 individuals.

     

     

    CMcG provided no leadership — MJ seemed the most involved.

     

    SW seemed to be talking SD through the game.

     

    DT had a quiet game — needed to show more drive and energy but struggled to sope with the all in wrestling style of his marker.

     

     

    IS seemed to lack focus and energy — however he still wanted to play the ball forward through the middle.

     

     

    JF needs support and coaching — the game became too much for him.

     

    DL gradually declined to the pub team ethic he seems all around him.

     

     

    CH — some glimpses of talent but as raw as sushi.

     

     

    Surprised at AO — showed some desire and ambition.

     

    EH — Not even close to good enough / 2 years of stagnation on show with every touch.

     

    KD — Circus act thrown on to show willing. Another who looks half the player of two years ago.

     

     

    Standards at St Ninians look amateur at best.

     

    At least it keeps my cousin’s daughters occupied with an inexhaustable supply of boyfriends.

     

    As noted often on here — something rotten in the running of the club.

     

     

    PL has to go — £20mill for this tripe is just too much.

    Not sure we have identified the problem , far less done anything about it . All we can do is look forward to the next chapter in Celtic’s history as this one closes .

    Scullybyoy…that was a decent result and performance from the young-guns…if they were playing in a vacuum…but that’s not where we are

     

     

    Tonight, I angrily concede the league…but I take solace from the fact that it’s not the fan’s fault

    The angle of that free kick is difficult for any team to defend.

     

    What was pleasing that at every set piece prior to it, not one Hibs player had a free run at the ball. Man marked every time, and, it was effective

    The Board know that with a new Manager and a couple of new players we ( the fans ) will be queuing up to buy Season Tickets….we can’t help ourselves and we have no other option …

     

     

    Few will give up good season ticket seats that they’ve had for years !!!!

    Not sure where all the talk of young team comes from. Only Harper, out of starting XI, was making the step up for 1st time. Most of our opponents regularly play 18 & 19 year olds against us.

     

     

    Another game where Tom Rogic doesn’t fulfil the responsibilities of a senior player. Quatar calling.

     

     

    Another game where our fitness lets us down from 65-70 minutes.

     

     

    It’s going to be a messy summer

    I thought the players battled manfully tonight. I was disappointed that a senior player like TomRogic didn’t step up to the plate. It was too big a game for Harper but Turnbull, Soro, Laxalt, Duffy and Hazzard all played well. The latter should have done better at the goal.

     

     

    The league has gone. I now accept that. It’s time for us to focus on the people who are responsible for this season being an utter shambles. We need to ensure that they are not given another chance to do this again with impunity. Don’t renew your season ticket until they are safely out the door.
