  2. Dub.. It disnae matter what league they’re in, if you’ve never experienced that Christmas Eve feeling of a Huns game, then you’ve never lived.

Or do what they did over on your side of town, send in John Brown with an angry mob. How many turned out to try and save your club? Sure one of the demos got a few dozen, didn’t it? But then when you tale away the 2 dozen press and ……….

    Off you go ya muppet.

  4. Ruggyman.

Dont get me started on Hamilton tim.

    Brainwashed everygame daftie.

  5. 21-5-79

I have…on the 29th December 2011 game against the scum where Joe Ledley scored a cracking header. I swore to myself I wouldn’t go to another game against them (or their b’stard offspring).

    Hail Hail

  6. 21-5-79

A great day by the way :-)

I’ll tell you something, if Celtic decide to play as being quoted, Sevco in a so called friendly, anywhere in Australia, or anywhere else for that sake

They will be losing my 2 season tickets next season

    There’s a fact

  7. Cowiebhoy

    No it wasn’t.

We are living a nightmare which is our downward spiral under Deila.

    Still sick.

  8. Ok Dub, I’ll have yer ticket in August next year, because whether you like it or not they’re coming back and I’ll be there to kick a few orange arses up and doon the Gallowgate, HH.

For you to NAT see above.

    ————————————————-

I’ve been to plenty of games against them over the years – I’m nearly 50. I haven’t missed them since they died. Neither have my mates. They’re irrelevant. Celtic need to operate in a strong league. Sevco won’t provide that.

  10. 21-5-79

See, now that sounds more appealing than watching us play the huns…and you wouldn’t need a match ticket to do it either :))

I’m logging off now. Have a good evening and play nice :)

    Hail Hail

  11. CG in the Daily Mail:

Craig Gordon laments Celtic display against Molde: ‘We’re far too easy to play against’

Exactly what I, and many others, said weeks ago.

Any half decent team can easily take us apart.

    Still sick.

  12. Vale bhoy

Just to respond, then I am away to my bed

100% agree! cannot believe how far we have fallen over past 2 seasons

More involved than just Ronny though

Pig sick, with what we are witnessing, for a squad on a huge budget

  13. NAT, are you happy to just plod along for the next 10yrs, if so then we would be as well just doing a Belfast Celtic and calling it a day, not for me, the fight must go on!

  14. Lord nimmo smiths judgement. Based on instructions by the SFA and sfl .

    Handsome huns. Aye .

New judges lords even. Higher authority.

    Haw. U. Daftie.

    There is no handsome huns.

    Common sense.

    No not one

  15. Seriously hard questions need to be asked. Do we we continue with a manager who will win domestically with little chance of progressing in Europe or make a change and bring in someone who will make us competitive in Europe but may sacrifice winning trophies domestically ?

  16. G64

I really don’t think there’s a Q to be asked, I think you or me could manage they players to Scottish double.

  17. G64

I really don’t think there’s a Q to be asked, I think you or me could manage they players to Scottish double, or treble (maybe)….

  18. Night Night, Celtic fecking awful, but who cares if we beat Ross County 7-0, I feckin do! Ronny your time is coming, tiocfaidh ar la!

  19. Time for a major rethink at CP. There is a serious problem in how our club is run. Big decisions are made by an accountant on behalf of some bewildered millionaire golfer who I bet didn’t even know who were playing tonight. We are in a deep malaise with little prospect of any change.

  20. Not read back but in my 48 years of watching Celtic I am struggling to think of many which have left me so annoyed with those representing the club as I feel tonight.

I was at Artmedia, Neuchatel, Donetsk, Allborg. I saw us lose 3 nil to PSG and suffer 23 years of no post Xmas European football. Tonight there was no spirit or fight or energy or belief or plan or organisation.

I never pick on players but tonight few were deserving of the shirt. I did not even notice Forrest in the game until 15 mins to go. That is how poor he was. Total lack of plan B. no variation.

    Not good.

  21. We are desperately in need of someone at the helm who has a love of our club and a desire to make us great again. Our current Tory custodians are satisfied with mediocrity and have no ambition in Europe. Their sole aims appears to be keep the good ship Celtic afloat until until the new rangers joins us. A disgraceful strategy. Time to chase the imposters.

  22. The weird thing is we need the same results from the last 2 games as we would have even if we would have won.

Equally weird is that whilst our fate is in our own hands Ajax, who are a point above us, have virtually no chance of getting through. Even if they beat us they then need is to win a dead rubber in turkey.

So in a very odd way the results have given us a better chance of going through now than we would have thought before.

  23. Off to my kip with one parting shot.

The most reliable indicator that a poster has delusional or disorganised thinking is when they claim that they or their wife or their dog could manage Celtic to a domestic treble.

And yet, where are all these posters currently applying their vast managerial expertise?

Are we hearing from experienced SPFL managers?

Guys with lower league management experience?

Some time coaching in the Juniors?

Worked with an elite amateur team once upon a time

    Ran a pub team?

    Played in a pub team?

Never got picked for the school or pub team?

I know where my bet would be placed.

It is dead easy to spout off about your capabilities in the non-virtual reality of the anonymous internet. It is much harder to furnish credentials that testify that anyone ever trusted you on your assertion that you could manage.

As much as this pish annoys me, I’ll go to bed unhappy at tonight’s performance and still greet tomorrow thankful for the guidance of those who passed on the torch.

We are Celts and we’ll remain Celts after this hurt has passed.

P.S. Anybody who thinks I could manage Celtic or any Senior, Junior or Top Level amateur Scottish football team is delusional.

  24. Gordon64

I think it is to keep it going until a window emerges somewhere for restructure at globalLevel.

Ironically the brand weakens each year so the jackpot the torys custodians expect may not materialise.

  25. Saint stivs

LNS and yon commission – don’t get me started – Oh all right then.

Two concepts very evident in Thursday’s ruling that were significantly missing from Lord Nimmo Smiths farcical ruling.

    Common Sense and Self-Evident

It is self evident and common sense that furtively paying players extra-legal money to sign for and/or remain at your club benefits those players and the club/team. Why else would you pay an employee more money and risk bans, litigation, suspensions and HMRC scrutiny? Such arrangements can ONLY have been made in an attempt to secure a “sporting advantage”. This is particularly an inevitable conclusion if no other club operated the same system of cheating. Such arrangements can ONLY have been made in an attempt to secure a “sporting advantage”. Common sense and self evident.

Of course, there is nothing ‘sporting’ about cheating to win, even if you don’t win.

The club even admitted cheating so LNS didn’t have rule on this – it was a matter of fact.

His ONLY task was to judge on the sporting advantage question.

He just contorted and mangled his way to a decision to please his paymasters. But why? Mmmm

For example, His Lordship could have said that it was impossible to know whether any sporting advantage had been gained, because other variables are at play – such as players’ form and injury susceptibility. It would have been a stretch, but he would have been legally sound on that stance. But he would have had to move on from that though and conclude that on the balance of probabilities – some level sporting advantage was gained. The standard of proof required could not possibly have been higher than this.

That he chose to conclude that no sporting advantage of any kind accrued – defied common sense and the whole purpose and intention of the additional extra-legal payments in the first place. His defective conclusion just refuses to go away. Why?

No evidence was produced that no sporting advantage was gained.

Only Bryson’s opinions on the legitimacy of the players’ eligibility was heard. Bryson’s comments could only apply to players’eligibility AFTER they had signed for the club. Neither Bryson, Nimmo Smith nor anyone else considered that these players would NEVER have even signed for this club at all – unless these extra-legal payments had been part of their promised remuneration package. Thus, the sporting advantage had been secured when these players had been enticed to the club in the first place. No other club cheated to recruit players that they could not otherwise have afforded or attracted. A clear sporting advantage before a ball is kicked.

This scenario doesn’t appear to have even been raised at all during the commission, encouraging the belief that the whole thing was orchestrated towards the finding of no sporting advantage: a finding that suited the SFA, Rangers and other signatories to the Five Way Agreement.

The infamous Five Way Agreement appears to have guaranteed that no titles or trophies would be stripped from Oldco/Newco/Sevco as a result of any EBT issues or UTT findings, REGARDLESS. (Our own Auldheid is credited in this piece from the Scottish Law Reporter.) Charlotte Fakes2 was shut down for getting to close to this.

    http://scottishlaw.blogspot.com/2013/09/questions-over-nimmo-smith-inquiry-as.html

To quote directly from this article:-

“Boiled down and stripped of legalese the shameful guarantee states: ‘The SPL hereby undertakes solely and exclusively to Sevco and to no other Person . . . that the SPL shall not . . . take or commence disciplinary proceedings against Sevco . . . in respect of any EBT Payments and Arrangements’.

What is even more incredible is that this deal was struck and distributed with the 5-Way Agreement BEFORE Lord Nimmo Smith began his enquiry and BEFORE the FTTT announced its verdict on the Rangers tax allegations.”

When you compare what was presented to LNS and what he said about sporting advantage, there is no self evident logical connection or any common sense. It doesn’t even have the appearance of someone selecting evidence to agree with their pre-arranged conclusions. It is that bereft of meaningful evidence. This was a perverse conclusion which has never been explained. Unless of course, it had to coincide with the deal made with Rangers as part of the Five Way Agreement.

If that is true, then it means that Thursday Court of Session ruling will NOT result in any title stripping by the SFA.

    Hear that silence.

  26. 137 row l.

I took 3 Slovak work colleagues to the game. In Scotland today and tomorrow only. First time visitors.

Today. Super excited. Celtic are playing today. Can you get us tickets .

It’s easy go online, I am in 137 go there, print from home tickets , do them in the office, in will take you, .

Picked them up at hotel. Great see trip to saint Mary’s , the gallowgate, the Celtic way then into the stadium right on kickoff, so missed GB tifo.

Found the 3 visitors their seats. 4 rows in front of me, centre of row l, empty seats either side for at least 6 seats. Decide to sit with them.

10 minutes before half time, a lady and a much older, maybe 70 , man shuffles along.

That’s my seat , he says to the Slovak visitor.

Aye bud, says me, we can shuffle along, or could you sit there,

    One seat along mind,

I felt like decking the old bustard

  27. Forgot to say..

That report on the Scottish Law Reporter is by ecojon.

    Don’t know who he is.

A quote to conjure with too

Neil Doncaster, the Chief Executive of the Scottish Professional Football League is on record as stating: “The tax default and reporting rules are an integral part of maintaining a fair league competition.”

    Hear that silence.
