Do you know what disappointed me a lot tonight, besides the obvious? Rogic. I kept shouting at the screen “drive forward”, which is his strength, but he rarely did. He seemed to play way too defensively which is not his game.
Just a thought.
I do like a good barney on here but telling someone to eff off is not too clever.
HT I’m glad your little one enjoyed the game…she’s the future of our club. And, if at a match I would never boo the team, but I do curse at my computer screen regularly (mostly at inept match officials).

James Forest summed the night up for me late on in the game…..young Tierney pressing fwd down left played a ball to Forest who immediately played it straight back to the youngster and ran into the box in an area where he was never gonna receive the ball again leaving the youngster isolated with absoloutely no options other than swing a hopeful ball into the box. Hiding all over the park all night. No one wants to see a manager get sacked on the back of a bad result BUT there has been a helluva lot of bad results But if you ask the question ” are we progressing under the new management team “? ………No we are not. Nice guy Ronnie but you ve lost the support, time to go sorry . Celtic PLC need to get it into their thick heads that one of the most important appointments at the club is the Manager/Coach and should stop treating it as a position where we continually scrimp on

The fewer people that go, the worse it will get.
About the only thing this board does consistently is refuse to speculate to accumulate. Why would they start now? If attendances decline further the team will be cut accordingly.
If the 10k missing ST holders were still able to go then we’d probably have better players on the pitch.

Who signed Blackett ? I don’t like to single out players but he has got to be one of the worst centre backs I have ever seen in a Celtic jersey. Utterly hopeless.

But that don’t really matter because THEY will be here next season.

He was shocking. When the sub was getting ready i noticed the number 2 on the electronic board and thought surely not. He didn’t even know his number was up despite it being announced over the tannoy. It summed up his night. It was almost laughable.

All night people are talking about the signing of Blackett. Blackett is a 1 year loan from Manchester United. Hope he never wears the Hoops again. The only bright point is that we are not stuck with him.
We should send him back early if we can, if not at least he will be gone at season ends.
Ruggyman’s post at 10.40 was disgraceful. All of us are hurting tonight, but abusing each other is not the answer.
Tonight ranks as one of the poorest European home performances I’ve witnessed in many a year. Naive tactics, lack of awareness, illogical use of the ball and a defensive formation that wouldn’t have looked out of place on a public park!
I’ve seen some poor players in the Hoops these past 60 years but in most cases (at CP) they’ve shown a semblance of effort and a degree of game management.
From his appointment, the RD tactics have been never far away from being exposed by 1 or 2 clinical breakaways (and finishing) in any given match – European opponents have confirmed that on a regular basis!
No matter our ups and downs in past years – European opponents have, in the main, had to be damn good to earn a result against us at CP.
Where are we now? Yep………….. we’ve flat-lined!
The Team is riddled with inexperience – few have the spacial awareness to adjust position or step into a space to cover for a team-mate’s mistake or provide an option that wrong-foots an opponent. What goes on at training?
Yes – we will win the League Title because we have the greater/better talent pool (here in Scotland) and have the squad to sustain a lengthy campaign. Unfortunately downsizing naivety (management choice and player recruitment) has now left us as also-rans in Europe.
Our coefficient is plummeting – time to ‘bite the bullet’ and get an experienced coach in that can utilise the remainder of this season to knock us into some kind of tactical shape for the CL qualifiers next June.
I’ve never booed our players (done my fair share of muttering) but tonight – young KT was the only Bhoy that gave a full 90 minutes for the jersey.

But you can believe it or not, you choose not to cos you are convinced that RD is the problem, when the problem is the strategy that the club has embarked on, it’s good to a point, it’s great if it;s flexible, which it ain’t.

Of which, many were hospitality / corporate.
Celtic football club are testing the patience of those 18k hardcore souls that braved tonight’s performance.
They better take heid.

We will not qualify for the champions league next season. Unless drastic action is taken, we will not qualify for the Champions league for the foreseeable future.

I read Lenny`s reasons.
I didn`t read that.
Tell you what,though,if you are right and Ronny is such a weak character that he has players” foisted” on him,then that`s just another reason he has to go.
I recall meeting P67 after the Malmo debacle and saying we need a root and branch examination of how we play in Europe. P67 told me we need to concentrate on getting coefficient points in the EL. At the time it made sense. In each EL game we have played we have got steadily worse. RD has little or no idea how to play in Europe. Will we allow RD to lead us into next season’s CL qualifiers ?

There is nothing wrong with Ronnie’s system, and I have complete faith in him as a manager and his ability to develop players, the only problem here is time. Everyone is praising KT even Ronnie, thats the type of effort and commitment we want to see from the keeper all the way up to the strikers, did he get that from his senior pro’s ? the players are at fault for yet another European horror show. Either they improve quickly or Ronnie had better clear out the stables cause at the moment it’s him or them, and I would rather have Ronnie than any one of our senior players.

Home with a glass of wine and my poor wife’s ears are sore listening to me about tonight’s game.
I was confident going to the game tonight, very confident but it all went spectacularly wrong. 4 mins in and the back 4 became a shambles, should simunovic been risked? Young Tierney was excellent though.
