I’m off to watch the Dons vs Hibs game but a wee friendly word to GFTB before I go.
If you mistake Big Wavy or 31003 for a Hun Interloper you need to have your Hun Radar re-adjusted.
You do get unfairly jumped on and tag-teamed at times but your passion for Celtic can lead to you lashing back at perceived slights.
Some of the people who made criticisms of our mid-week performance were dead right to do so. Some of them went OTT and some were insulting, not just critical, of our manager.
But only, a small number were true visitors from FF and other smelly environs.
And you won’t see many of that last group hanging around the blog today.
So shake hands and move on

that is the funniest bit though, someone responds to it with a rant of their own, or a you cant be serious, i am hoping for a call from the bbc, a really good celtic goal scored from our own half can be described as offside a lucky deflection and a plea as an own goal, or freakishly fortunate.

Old JF was rank in the first half and his poor / lazy efforts on the right were one of the reasons we were so poor.
He takes his one chance and finishes with a great strike.
However he phoned in the rest of his performance.
As for the second half on the left — he was wasteful with some terrible finishing that caused the ball boy more problems that their GK.
Very selfish to my eyes — we do not need players playing for themselves as we move forward.
Very lazy as well — chasing loose balls with all the conviction of a lesbian on bromide.

Thought you might have disagreed that you didn’t want Neil from the outset
I hate to say this but it appears that Neil Lennon was prepared to gamble 3 points today to prove a point and massage his ego. It took a 2 pieces of brilliance from Calmac and Jamesie to give us the lead after 40 minutes of producing nothing because of the lack of a striker. Fortunately, he had to swallow his pride and put a striker on who, although he didn’t score, changed the game completely. A second striker made an even bigger difference.
Does NFL refuse to learn lessons? We were struggling last season, to some extent, up until the winter break then changed to 2 up front and for some explicable reason he reverts back to one up front followed by none up front.
Lenny take the next two weeks to do some self examination in couching terms and stick to the winning formula, PLEASE.

Wonder if we might consider organising a friendly during the
international break. If players need game time give them it.
We must be able to field a team of non internationals.

Re the Ref…Grimshaw should have been booked 1st half for deliberate hand ball. Second half, he brought down wee Frimpong who was bursting into space. Yellow card. Had he been correctly booked 1st half then he would have been off. Either that or he allows the wee man to go clean through…another day it could have been decisive…

Unlike many others on CQN, I did not think Motherwell were rubbish/awful/dreadful etc. I felt they worked incredibly hard to prevent a superior side from scoring and showed no little skill whilst so doing.
Naturally enough, that kind of effort has its consequences and it may well be that the most obvious of these ie tiring, was what led to us dominating more as the game went on. Easy to say that it was the introduction of proper strikers but I feel we must at least consider the factor I have just mentioned.
FWIW, I probably prefer playing with two strikers in Scotland but I tend to think Neil Lennon has a better idea than I have on that matter.

Ferencvaros, Copenhagen, Cluj blah blah blah
No, he’s not learning.
How many chances does he get?
Get rid, before it’s too late.
imo
Frimpong my MOM playing on right wing.
team struggled in final third until we got 1st goal and change formation.
CmG far superior player driving forward other than sitting back covering for broonies mistakes.
Ajeti reminds me of Gerd Müller.
Julien is a better centre forward than centre back.
Elyounnosi a bit overrated.
Couching = coaching ffs
Right who are we buying
Now that’s out the way
Play Ajer in midfield.
He was a midfielder before he joined us.
Killie played him at cb.
His pass to Ajeti was quality midfield play.
