  1. Aye but it’s aw the green brigades fault , I mean why can’t they just sing the songs , and no them wans , and cut out the drum we don’t want that noise 😜😜

  2. Jeez, that was way more nervy than had anticipated. We really need to converting more of the chances created.

Fair play to a very determined opponent who tried everything to prevent us winning. And credit too to the Motherwell players for assisting the referee as best they could!

That first half was absolutely disgraceful. He got almost every decison wrong – and almost ALL against us. It reminded me of the day McCurry booked 9 of our players at Ibrox in a game that didn’t have a bad foul!

He was that bad I went online to find out who he was!!

  4. I enjoyed that game.tough watch as we had to work for our victory

I am not usually one to focus on referees

But that display of reffing was effin terrible.

    Just terrible.beyond headshaking.

We are piling on the injuries but will it take a career ending assault before our officials open up

The time wasting from around the 9th min is grit for the teeth-‘stop’ football terrible to watch aided and abetted by poor reffin

  5. The Blogger Formerly Known As GM on

I’m sure the Green Brigade realise the police in any country enforce laws passed by the government and if discretion is required they’ll tend to go with the prevailing prejudice of society. Ask folks of colour in the good ole US of A.

I’d laugh out loud if any of them vote SNP.

    you must have been mistaken

the only bit of time wasting was by Joe Hart with the bye kick in injury time

    according to the ref

  7. Are the ball boys behind the Celtic goal on some kind of incentive bonus for speed of service, or are they just embracing Angebal? They’re like greased lightning getting the ball back to JH.

If the silence from the #GreenBrigade is making you feel annoyed or uncomfortable, just imagine what it’s like to have cameras constantly filming you during a game and potentially turning up at your door cause you held up a banner.

    ===============

Thats what needs to be highlighted, the knock on effects to young people still fighting to clear their names, blighting futures.

I would urge Celtic fans to end their silence, just for selfish enjoyment of the noise, spectacle etc thats just me.i like their vibe

It only highlights the rest of us as mute

Was a bit saddened at the shove your silence chant as I thought other would take up the mantle and sing Celtic songs alas it was patchy imo, alas it was easier to slate fellow celts

You are right of course. His goal was top class and some of his touches were sublime.

He should, however, have scored at least one more

I agree but I can forgive TR just about anything at the minute.

    We’d be goosed without him.

I just pray he’s fit for the New Year’s Day game.

  11. Jeff Stelling tweeted on Friday that it was a disgrace that Nicola Sturgeon described the new variant as a potential ‘tsunami’. I’ve just heard Bojo describe it as a potentail ‘tidal wave’. I await Jeff’s condemnation but I don’t expect much from a sports presenter who takes money to advertise sports gambling

Well done the Celtic today, not a great performance but 3 points nonetheless

  12. fanadpatriot on 12th December 2021 7:47 pm

Liel Abada ,came to Celtic as. 19 year old ,since has been picked by his country ,scored on his debut plus another couple but some are trying to tell Celtic to get rid off.

This Bhoy is going to be a good player for us once ,he gets a season under his belt .HH

    >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

Lets be honest that wan saying that is a Hun.

Liel is a real Work in Progress and he gets into dangerous areas in the box when the play is on the other side.

Need to keep picking up the 3 points until January.

Then its over to the Celtic Board to get the players in that Ange wants.

Tommy Rogic – The Iconic Bionic Man now!!!!

You are always worried about overloading a team with a different Nationality. I think we wullnae have that problem if we have 3 or even 4 players frae Japan in our squad.

That Cheat Today was totally at it.

  13. The ref today was a great example of how they do it – don’t award a punishment against celtic’s opposition at the time. Award some cards but not a time to change the match. Like all establishment stories, they’ve come up with a name for it to ensure they can continue it – ‘game management’.

  14. Back to Basics - Glass Half Full on

Coming up for seven months since someone tried to burn down Peter Lawwell’s house while he and his family were inside.

    It’s been a while – thought I’d just check I haven’t missed any developments?

Are the ball boys behind the Celtic goal on some kind of incentive bonus for speed of service, or are they just embracing Angebal? They’re like greased lightning getting the ball back to JH.

    ——-

When Pep took over at Barca he arranged for the ball boys and girls to get training. Its that kind of detail that makes a difference. For years we’ve had young lads sitting hiding from the freezing cold. Having multiple balls in hand this season has been a game changer.

  16. Watching todays goal again today I’m struck by the reaction of the players, each and every one jumping for joy. It took me back to September last year when Griff scored a last minute winner in Perth and Edouard and Christie couldn’t be bothered to go and celebrate. This Celtic team has something about them, heart and dig that was missing last season. Rogic lost possession in the second half in front of the north stand but he ran back and forced an error leading to turnover in our favour. If Ange dips into he market and adds 2 or 3 quality players this Celtic team will be very difficult to stop. The key is to stay in the game between now and January 2nd. Anything else is a bonus.

  17. The Blogger Formerly Known As GM on

    Shop window Christie and Edouard.

I’d applaud neither in whatever guise they return to Celtic Park.

  18. Imagine your nerves and the Celtic player’s nerves if we never had Joe Hart in goals today.

If we win the league he and CCV and Starfelt will be MVPs.. Brilliant signings all 3.

  19. Hard fought win, but we did it. I am more comfortable with our style of play as each game passes. Been an advocate of change but can sense some trepidation by some. That’s okay. To do well in the future and I mean in Europe it wil take a style rather than spend to make it happen. We just need to believe in the process. Our current form shows a machine-like presence. The collectiveness in our squad I believe is evident, the passion of our players when we score is just how I’d like to imagine it would feel to score for our mighty club.

There’s a metaphoric drum beating and it’s Angeball.

Have to comment on the ref. To me, his behaviour was to stop Celtic, “I’ll work why later”, probably with the aid of the other three officials. Do they keep recordings of their mike’d up chat?

The way refereeing moved to more fluid play and refs making common sense decisions was refreshing in the Euros….but that was by professionals, who appear, to have integrity.

Up here seems like they have so much unconscious bias that, let loose in that world-wide ruling directive, leaves us with head f$%& decisions. The sfa, is, in my mind such a corrupt org it wouldn’t surprise me they are all in with nostalgia of what, in their mind, is a time when deadco were on top. They are conflicted.

All that said we need to unite as a support, even put some credible pressing issues to one side, momentarily to help our team passed the 12,13,14,15 man and also an extraordinarily compliant press and media.

    We can win this league🍀

  20. My mate told me the GB were singing at the end of the game as the players walked round. He was giving the GB shit for the hypocrisy as were a lot of fellow fans. This is a distraction we don’t need imo.

Result today, a win is all that mattered, no stand outs but again one of my favourite players ever in a Celtic shirt was superb at times and scored a great goal.

    Mom Tommy Rogic. HH 🍀

  21. Not long home and have read just a few posts and agree with most of what I have read.

The referee`s performance might be the worst I have seen. Truly dreadful.

Some seem to be saying that `well played well ie to their strengths. If their `strengths` were sneaky fouls, blatant fouls and downright awful fouls, then I agree.

Personally, I was very disappointed in the way they played the game. Entertainment as a factor in their game has yet to be introduced. Their No27, Goss, in particular caught my eye as a nasty piece of work and very sleekit with it.

  22. 1 goal conceded in 5 games against Scottish teams

We’ve stopped conceding from set pieces and from crosses

Clean sheets breed confidence throughout the team,

    Keep going Celtic

  23. I don`t agree with the GB`s Vow of Silence but I feel there are many more bodies in the world of Sport in Scotland much, much more deserving of criticism than the usually vibrant GB.

    Goodnight all.

  24. Serious question

Are they the worst cheats in world football?

When you consider that cheating us and cheating their opposition is the same thing, collectively their cheating is across 2 games every weekend where necessary. Today again Herts had a man off and a very clear pen denied. Ref in our game was a 0/10, because I believe all refs are assessed from 10. Three yellows denied mwell players in the first half. Pulling us back for a foul when clean through. The stupity he displays on the corner is a ‘rules of the game’ error which are frowned upon in the game. Of course the ebt years spanned a decade. Every game a 0 3 reverse, totally ignored by eufa, sfa, and opposition eg qos on the cup final. Despicable cheats.

  25. Maybe the manager and the players could ask the board to reconsider any plans to appoint Higgins.

They don’t have to do it publicly if they’d prefer not to.

  26. I also think I need to comment on the ref today.

Easily one of the worst displays given by the MIB for a long time.

It is very difficult to argue that this was only possible because of 2 possible reasons.

    Incompetence or corruption.

Either is inexcusable. He should at the very least never officiate at any of more our games or those which might have a bearing on the outcome of the league.

Well done the Bhoys for getting past the 12th man today.

For all those who advocate that we should be good enough to take the Ref out of the equation, you need a good kick in the goolies as a reset switch for common sense

  27. In the 2x big games in Scotchland today, both refs came under fire for shit performances.

I did a quick check of the EPL and Championships lead stories; no conflict about ref performances. Or no stories about conflicted refs (cos the rules don’t allow it).

Are Scottish refs shit by accident or design? It really spoiled our flow and allowed Well to foul without punishment.

That aside, the win is great and there’s a crispness, flow and pace to our passing that’s very easy on the eye.

BTW; these 3pm kickoffs are 2am murder for us downunderers – mibby a sleep at the beach today will sort it out.

    HH to all the Celts!

RON: who made you the attendance police btw??

  28. What’s wrong with having a very noisy protest outside the main stand with the drummer giving it hell.Sure loads would join in.This standing silent nonsense will not help the team.

Back the team,Sack the Board. What happened to that slogan.

  29. I called the MIB a cheat during the game. I happily repeat it here. If that wasn’t the worst display of many in a season marked by bad refereeing, any one I have missed must be truly awful. Sadly, BBC Scotland editted the game to suggest he reffed it in our favour.

  30. In addition to the poor performance, the ref and linesmen warm up at the start of the game was unbelievablely poor … the North Stand linesman was the unfittest bloke with a flag I’ve ever seen at our level … the clown in the middle has been garbage before on multiple occasions

    HH

  31. The very fact that the GB are getting critisied for being silent is indivicative of any industrial dispute. Withdraw any extra support or return to work to rule practices kinds of makes you the bad guy.

The other side is that these guys have went the extra mile and are being taken for granted.

If you have outsung the GB then feel free to critize otherwise give it a rest. (unless you are at Celtic Park, then open your lungs to the heavens)
