You can’t possibly have forgotten what you promised.

You do remember what you said Auldeid? Don’t you? You do remember what you promised….?

  2. Kitalba – the one big problem is that whether Celtic speak out or not they have know here else to be a football club. So they must carry on regardless until they do.

If nothing else the charities the club supports will continue to benefit.

For how long now have we been saying the truth will out ?

We even had a leader from Paul in the week hinting at the club won’t do or say anything without help from the other clubs.

We have seen the reaction from one chairman in the week, move on is the message, and I would wager he is not alone.

Our great moustachioed one wants them back, everybody in any position of power wants them back.

There is no will to do anything ohter than keeping the status quo.

Thanks for the kind and generous donation last night for Wee Shay. It and every other donation is really appreciated by the young family and is making a difference. I will post a wee update over Christmas.

Enjoyed your company last night with the other CQN wallopers, despite the rubbish we talk :-)

HH my friend, keep up the good stuff!

Give it a rest please. If you have it stored away please post it. I’ve explained why whatever I said (and I doubt it was a promise) changed.

Bizarrely I’d ask that you consider the sh**e you have to deal with from fellow travellers as a compliment.

Your words are constantly considered and ruminated upon.

kitalba and auldhied I have never met either of you but I read your posts on CQN and I am certain you are both fine Celtic supporters but have different ways of looking at the current problems in Scottish football. We all love Celtic and are not at all sure that the current custodians are looking after the clubs interests but think it more likely they are looking after there own.We would like to change Scottish football and make it a level playing field for all but as the waters are very muddied and it is unlikely they will become any clearer until after all the court cases in 2016 reach a conclusion. We do not know what to do for the best but we all have various opinions but fighting amongst ourselves in my opinion is counter productive. At the moment I feel a watching brief is for the best and when the time comes to take appropriate action we should do it as a united group so Bhoys in fighting is not helping anyone other than the enemies of Celtic.H.H.

    Celticfc.net

I rarely visit official site because frankly I find it patronising in its utter lack of connection to reality and overt attempts to distract fans from events that actually concern them.

A brief visit today confirmed that Gary McKay Steven plays guitar in his spare time. This article sits above any reference to yesterday’s defeat.

    Oh Deary me!

  16. So know I know what to tell my children, shout obscenities in the face of a Celtic director and become a better Celtic supporter.

Its pretty bleak and depressing being a Celtic supporter on the Internet these days. Not living in Scotland or Ireland I always thought of supporters sites as being places where I could share experirnces, socialise and discuss Celtic with other Celtic supporters, akeays with the chance of a bit of a disagreement thrown in. Now it’s all about anger, moaning and conflict and it’s anything but enjoyable, pretty much the opposite.

    Boohoo I suppose

  17. Aiden Bhoy

He sure is. Had a quick word with him yesterday as he hobbled towards the ground in crutches, just after I left the CQN Corner. Said he was slowly making progress but don’t expect to see him playing anytime soon!

A last reminder for anyone looking to order from CQNBookstore.com – we will ship all orders received this evening at 9am Monday morning, first class post. So for UK addresses you’ll receive Tuesday or Wednesday at latest.

There’s a free Larsson DVD when you order The Winds of Change and we have a very limited number of Scott Brown’s book left – ideal as a gift for any young Celts in your family. Brendan Sweeney’s Celtic The Early Years is a masterpiece and we also have copies of Paul Dykes’ Celtic’s Smiler book and DVD on Neilly Mochan.

On perspective as a Celtic supporter – did you read the article we posted a few days ago titled ‘It’s not always darkest before the dawn’? Go back and have a read – its on the home page. Brilliant article but imagine living through that period as a Celtic supporter!

I made the watching brief point to TET just there.

With regard to the suspicion that the interests of the Celtic Board can be different from the interests of Celtic (an idea I don’t understand unless the Board are anti Celtic) I read the following from the latest book by Paul Larkin about the Lanarkshire Refs.

Now Paul Larkin, going by his books and Tweets gives the impression that by comparison Neganon2 is a Happy Clapper, held Lawwell in very very very low regard until in a meeting with PL the latter said (and I paraphrase) Paul I am a Celtic supporter, my whole family are Celtic supporters and if I did anything that was not for Celtic’s benefit I would be answerable to them.

That was enough for Larkin to change his mind and he strikes me as a guy not easily taken in.

So from that I can understand PL and the Board taking decisions that are not popular in the short term, but over a period I cannot buy into the idea they are putting their self interest above Celtic’s. I don’t see how its possible (unless they are really sneaky huns).

Could be doing with him just now. Think Lustig has struggled big time this season.

Walking up the Celtic way through the crowds of fans waiting for the Iconic statue of Billy to be shown to the world. Stopped for a moment and looked into the faces of the fans and something struck me. For all those older faces standing there staring ahead there were just as many and probably more young fans all eager to see the statue and more importantly get a sight of Billy, who for many of those fans is something of a myth, a legend they have heard stories about or maybe saw grainey old tv footage on youtube.

What it told me was this club will continue in the years ahead, the next generation get it big time any they will ensure we are still here and relevant in the years ahead.

As I made my way around the Jock Stein stand I met Paul67 and then BRHT and Morrisey, they reminded me why this is such a great site and why I personally get so much out of this place. Ordinary people giving of their time to help others. That’s Celtic for me and why I’ll never give up, no matter how much I disagree with the board I can look around me and see guys such as Jobo or CRC who do so much to help others. So many great unselfish people on this site and amongst our support, it’s been a privilege to be associated with so many great people.

Sometimes it’s to easy to forget that we are more than just a football club.

  21. Margaret McGill on

It seems to me that many Celtic supporters think Lawwell is some kind of aggrandizing bishop with instructions from his cardinal to embrace all bigots. Even the bad yins who huv sinned us in the past.

I hate Celtic not winning, but I soon get over it, there are far more important things in life and your post is all that’s good about CQN, I rarely read back, more than a page or two, I scroll by politics as I don’t even listen to real politicians, CQN is 98% of Celtic fans with many varying opinions and mostly want the best for our club and fans

I have never been that interested in the treble, Neil got beaten by Morton in the league cup when the following week we could have got out of the CL group, this season I hope and pray Ronny gets the treble

Aha. Now I see what you are saying. very good!

Peter is not so much an aggrandizing fenian Bishop but more of a Christian capitalist in the extraordinary belief that the most selfish of men for the nastiest of motives will somehow work for the benefit of all. Us little green minions who are attracted to Celtic and all its historical symbolism? To wax lyrical about and build statues on? We just have to wait a little bit longer..lets say until his gran kids never have to work either?? is that it?
