    For the late Gary Duncan (RIP), I hope the young fellow Liam Shaw puts in a good showing.

    Iā€™m not very familiar with their team. They started with Dembele, Shaqiri, Ekambi, Da Silva with Slimani, Emerson, Aoaur on the bench, so Iā€™m guessing at least 4.

    Having said that, I wish this was the team we played in all of the EL games.

     

     

    This season should have been about the league only. Automatic CL group qualification for possibly the last time.

    Young Shaw looked good pre season then nothing.

     

     

    I liked the look of him then. A good passer with a bit of dig….and a midfielder too.

    Can anyone help me understand the emerging advice from Public Health Scotland urging people to cancel/postpone Christmas parties. I’m due to attend a Christmas lunch tomorrow afternoon in a Glasgow city centre restaurant with about 20 people. Is that classed as a party ?

     

     

    What about post dinner drinks in a pub ; am I being urged not to attend that ? Surely people packed into pubs represents a higher risk.

     

     

    What about the cup final next week. Am I being urged not to attend that ? Again why target “parties” but allow a near 60k crowd to gather in close proximity.

     

     

    A muddled, confusing message today.

    And for the record, I am on taxi duty again tonight, so no drink for me.

     

     

    I am also on taxi duty tomorrow night.

     

     

    And on Saturday I am driving to Glasgow for a 75th birthday party, if it’s still on.

     

     

    So sober until Sunday, unless things change, which they might.
