I don’t think this is rock bottom. We’ve a cup final and a trip to Ibrox to come yet. This can still get worse.

If Lenny stays then we’ll keep falling further.

If he’s replaced then we can start working on making things better.

  2. We deserved to lose. But again we are cheated by a referee. No red card, not even a yellow, for the foul on Christie. Another soft penalty against us. When a Ross C player kicks the ball away when we have a free kick, no yellow card, countless decisions like this. But our club has put up with this for years.

We have had enough practice at playing against a packed defence but still don’t know what to do. No one-two’s around the box, no shots from distance. Not to mention our defending against free kicks. If Neil is a Celtic man he’ll resign.

  3. All the Neil please resign garbage again

    The manager has to go.

The CEO gave him the job and should have the balls to sack him instead of having him savaged on social media.

Why should NL walk and cost himself financially???

  4. Tactically all wrong.

    Individuals not a team.

As I said at the half, why did we play so many at the back against a packed defense.

We know that is how they set up.

Watched the Leeds game yesterday and they had one player, Dallas play in 3 different positions that game, why? because the game dictated it by the way Everton were playing.

It is a joy to watch when a coach realizes this and moves players to hurt the opposition and reaps dividends.

    That is coaching.

We do not seem to know as a team what the team mate needs as far as type of ball.

Watch the game again and as we slowly build from the back, usually with a holding midfield player and we have 3 centre halves pointing where they think the ball should go before it eventually goes there.

Once a Celt, always a Celt.

Hoping for miracles now this season.

  5. I was not jesting when I suggested dropping all the players bar 2 on Thursday night.

It gives me no pleasure to be proved right. These players are a disgrace.

This must not be forgotten when the full picture develops.

Sorry Jobo, not one player deserves any points.

    We’ll finish third with Lennon.

    ……………………………….

What makes you think we can win another game with him in charge?

  7. I have this twisted knot in my intestine that “Worse to come” may not have seen daylight yet!

51 days without a drink may be facing its ultimate challenge to night!

    Hail Hail

DEAR PAUL 67 could you please let BIG JIMMY back on tomorrow so that i can see what his defense of LENNON is now.

    ——————————

Celts get beat today and you want to stick the boot into a Celtic fan… how classy fekn ershole.

  10. so,

someone mentioned £500,000 reason why Neil would not resign.

and maybe that £500,000 is also the reason they would not sack him.

however, having wanted to give Neil the time to succeed, and trusting that good players did not become bad plkayers over a half season, I too feel now something has to happen to arrest the regression, to stabalise, to start picking up points again.

I dont know know who the better manager is, but this run of results is the worst in Celtics recent decade.

I havnt wanted Peter as CEO in a long time either, mostly because of the high cost, but while we were in the golden zone, of making profits while winning trophies, then nothing could force change.

this still might not, the power is with a select few shareholders, same axis as the old families, but suuccesful.

all i ask, please dont be abusive about great celtic men, legends of the club, heroes,

    be respectful,

  11. Inquit 4.08pm

Am still standing by Neil but I think is job is “untenable” it’s the players who I think have cheated us …

Totally gutted … probably as low as a Celtic fan that I have been

The players have cheated the manager (in my opinion)

  12. An easy rope-a-dope win for Ross County assisted by Clancy.

A great run of domestic Cup wins sadly ended at a forlorn and empty Celtic Park.

    The players shamed the jersey.

  13. Must be somethimg to the trouble in the dressing room rumours,

we still have the basis of a good team, these players dont all become bad overnight

  14. THE_HUDDLE on 29TH NOVEMBER 2020 4:11 PM

Lennon said he had the backing of the board. Granted that was before today’s debacle but if he was one game away from the sack, he never had full backing. He was on a final warning.

Lennon won’t walk away as he’s entitled to a pay out. He needs to be sacked. A sad end for a great Celt but nobody is bigger than our club…

  15. PeterLatchfordsBelly on

We are run by an unaccountable clique.

We’re about to see just how unaccountable.

Complete purge of management and coaching from Lawwell down must follow or nothing has changed

  17. I’m pleased.

Pleased I didn’t post my prediction before the game. I’d look really silly now. As it is, it’s the players that can’t pass a ball 5 yards, or control a ball, or cross a ball, or defend properly.

I’m sure others have said as much. With more vigour. And quite rightly so.

  18. the long wait is over on

    Sadie’s bhoy.

With respect – They won’t win it.

They played ok but no more than that.

Truth is we were beyond woeful.

We handed them two goals. They didn’t really even earn those.

This was not , despite the noises the press will make , about RC.

I wish them well but this was all about our continuing and repeated failings.

  19. lets all do the huddle on

Complete purge of management and coaching from Lawwell down must follow or nothing has changed

  20. I remember the day when a balanced discourse was available on this site. Too many entrenched views now that are devoid of any real evidence or argument or who cab’t ( Trumpishly ) recognise others evidence or argument. It’s the fault of the people running the club that we no longer have the chance of a quintuple treble. Think about that folks.

    I hope PAUL doesn’t post tomorrow –

    “Even worse still to come!”

    ———–

I read Paul’s article to mean that no matter how many games we lose (i.e. today) then the board will continue to back Lenny.

Not that losing to Ross was worse to come, it’s all the defeats incoming that the “worse to come”

  22. Reading back seen a couple of ghuys saying they’re out.

    WTF does that mean?.

We have had great years, I knew it ‘would end one day but I didn’t expect such a sudden and dramatic collapse.

Obviously at this stage Lenny will go, whether it will make much difference this Season is hard to say.

However one thing I am certain about we will be back, winning games and winning Trophies.

  23. Remember bhoys we’re all angry……and rightly so but lets not fight, there will be huns lurkin’ about!

Also remember ‘ i’d rather be a jobby than a hun’

  24. GFTB

Your defence of the manager has been and remains admirable.

There’s a post above where a poster talks about a Leeds journeyman being coached into playing 3 different roles in a game. Admittedly we’re talking about Bielsa but could NL function at that level???

Leaving aside NL and what he’s done in the past for the club. Do you honestly believe NL is a good enough coach for our club?? Can we get somebody better??

  25. GFTB

I’d like to respect your decision to stand by Neil.

However, I believe such a boiling frog approach is why we’re in this mess.

The piecemeal coaching team needs to leave immediately. Goalie coach apart

  26. thanks you Neil Lennon – you will always be a Celtic Legend! You failed for 2 reasons – tactically inept and let down by the recruitment policy from a board who never speculate to accumulate and build from a position of strength.

Our performances have been absolutely woeful — the SPINE of the team has been neglected and our midfield lacks BITE and CREATIVITY.

Only a miracle can win us the 10 – would take a management team who can instantly change the negative energy and a January window where we sign 3-4 1st team starters

You like me, witnessed the 80’s, at least that was explainable, Huns financial doping, having influence over banking infrastructure that crippled all competing football clubs, except one, and an even tinier tinpot regime running (predictive text put ruining (prophetic?)) our club, this is unforgivable.

Don’t think I could feel any worse off, I’ve written off this season already
