  1. If DD had any sort of business sense, knowing that Kyoto was making an appearance today,he should have built an extension onto the old stand, using my formula, two weeks work,10,000 new seats. As usual, the business buffoon had his own plans. We will never get anywhere, with this self made Billionaire, who has no idea how to run a business,in charge.

I work it out, that with my plan for today,we could have increased our turnover to,200,million a year.

    Oh,and O Reilly is crap.

    Absolutely livid Mad Mitch,from,Brigadoon.

SAINT STIVS on 9TH APRIL 2022 6:31 PM

I spent a wee bit of the game 2nd half just watchin daizen and not even following the ball, there was a bit where he closed down at either side of the touchlines and the goalkeeper over about a minute, perpetual motion and the accelaration is unreal,

    ====

    He’s incredible.

I said to my son in law last week after the Rangers game that , with no disrespect to our actual defenders, that he is arguably the most effective defender we have at the club.

The number of the oppositions potential moves he strangles at birth with his closing is immense.

  3. We were home to Ross County & Dundee United in 1st series,

So we should be away to those & Home to Huns, Hertz, & Motherwell.

Glad you agree – I in turn agree with your view that we’re at “the start of special”.

I am sure that Ange will be backed – he has been to date as a new manager, how much more clout will he have as a successful one?…..you only have to ask DD.

  5. Quality today Celtic

    Work hard you get somewhere

Work hard and learn you roll teams over.

Jinkyredstar like you,it has me wishing there was all of my old guard there to enjoy that.

Rest now and ready for next week

Put 11 across the line we will still score!

It is such a joy to see,and it was.

    Today was special.

Thank you Celtic it was a pleasure watching today.

  6. Just hame, What a stroll of a game. St Johnstone gave up after 20 minutes because Celtic were awesome.

83% possession with real purpose to it.

This Team is going places. I’d take a 1-0 win next week but I think we are gonnae run amok wae the newco.

  7. JHB – teenage me in the late 80’s and twe ty something me in the 90’s, like every other Tim at that time knew the highs and lows in their entirety. Without getting all ‘Celtic Da’, the O’Neill years on have been unbelievable in comparison.

The ’85 cup final, ’86 league victory, centenary season, ’89 cup final, ’96 stopping the ten – all great memories with harsh lessons all around them. Wondering how we’d ever overhaul a seemingly unstoppable Oldco.

I actually remember a cousin of mine telling me Rangers oldco were in trouble in around the Advocaat years. That gave me hope but I couldn’t see it really. I clung to it. Then we watched Rangers die. Unbelievable. Then we had the calamity that was them ‘making friends on the journey’. I velueve the reason so many of us loved it so much was the years of hurt we experienced. We thought it was just refs cheating but we found out it was financial doping and for me if they aren’t punished properly by the football powers that be for that, then I take every bit of on field hurt they endure as a small bit of pay back.

If I’d have told young Roberttressell that I would one day be telling my own children that they will see very few trophies going to ibrox I’d have told me to catch myself on. Yet here we are.

So, yes, the pain was worth it.

  8. Welcome back Big Jimmy.Since you have been restored, the Putin apologists, silenced, and Big Packy sentenced to 20 years in a “Steamy” in Khazakstan,I see no reason to refrain from posting.

Much to the delight of sooooooo many on here.

Whit,?????????,Have I judged my audience wrong?

    β€˜Fraid not.

Much as I think o’riley is terrific , I’d start TR in every game against them and especially at Hampden.

Big fella loves the place and thems are terrified of him.

He tore them a new one last week.

I heard Halliday a while back – not long after he left Rangers – being asked who was the hardest player in Scotland to play against. His reply was TR by a mile because he was so skilful but also so strong you just couldn’t get the ball off him.

  10. Adi – πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

I will end up there on Monday tuning in the Alexa.

  12. Thank you, Celtic. It was great to be at Celtic Park this afternoon.

Besides the great entertainment on show, I thought the Green Brigade’s contribution to the atmosphere was tremendous. Some of the songs took me back many a year. Did my heart and soul the power of good.

hahaha, I hear there is a pill for that

  14. Embdy any idea on Turnbull, he walked off at the end, no mention from Ange as far as I can see, he is kinda hopeful re GG but he didn’t sound too hopeful, just reading between the lines, but never fret cos we have our Japanese predator back and Meadea, he wasn’t even sweating at the end of that today, unbelievable wee man

  15. 2 beautiful genuine 9’s are much, much better than a bent an’ tainted wan…………….

    Yes indeed.

    HHH.

  16. No superlatives can do the team mentality today justice.

But I will start with 10 or 12.

    Mad Mitch.

    You posed a good question

    I have 2 answers.

My heart says 10 in a row due to its historical significance.

My head agrees with all the reasons you outlined which leave us with a better future outlook.

Fergus didn’t want Rangers to beat our 9 record but he saw that building up the club was more important. That philosophy lead us to 2 successful decades.

    My head wins this time.

  19. Gene – Celtic end although I have went in the Huns end when we played at Ipox many moons ago.

As me an my mate were leaving all we heard was “see you later ya Fenian bassas” and spitting on us, keep walking to the aisle then run I said to my mate. πŸ˜‚

    D :)

  20. Of course there were no failures today – just wonder if Tom Rogic was taken off so early because he gave the ball away quite often – Ange knows him well – maybe felt his touch was off. Matt has definitely staked his claim for a starting place next week……but of course TR loves Hampden.

I went to a Huns home game in the 60’s in a European tie against one of the German clubs. Even then they were ugly and angry

  22. Where were you when Celtic scored seven at home on a Saturday?

The rarified atmosphere of Parkhead saw Celtic sparkle on a day that would have done Larsson and Bratbakk versus Saints proud, we are already one up when this arena fills and refills, McCann’s house of steel feels much better when its audience is seated. Old faces, new faces off the waiting lists, soft seats, a pie plus bovril Β£7.00, same old Celtic always winning.

Celtic were a league apart from Saints this time round and another Hatate early strike turned them to a Sevco in disguise, Lennoxtown football passed the Perth side off the park, and you’ll even hear on MSM that we could or should have scored in double figures. Calum MacGregor won’t grudge Daizen Maeda his M.O.M as the captain had already torn the second most successful side in Scotland a new one by halftime. St Johnstone couldn’t not have known about the former J league star, catching him was clearly another matter.

Easy street by Paradise windfall time, wasn’t even dimmed by Giakoumakis’s hammy?, tomorrow is another dawn and AP probably has his next side in mind, and demonstrated his skill within days of fending off the Eddie Howe fiasco brigade. The strength on the bench suggests Championee, they’re fighting to get on the pitch for AP and have succeeded last season’s wantaways, even super sub Kyogo should have scored, Leil Abada should have scored three, maybe they’re spreading out their contribution to the treble?

    M.O.M

    __

Love the wee man. Have we ever had anyone with the workrate and pace? The rubber man certainly had the work ethic. Someone suggested the buzz bomb and in a way Daizen reminds me of Bobby, neither a winger nor an out striker, but devastating. The Japanese boys have been tremendous signings.
