  1. stats, as a testament to the team performance today.

6 goals and a penaly score

    6 different goalscorers.

5 different players credited with the assists.

bring on the “the old firm”.

  2. Never mind the abbreviated

    hun….

Mind thon ” If rainjurz need goals thull git goals!”

    Aye.

  3. Ange wasn’t some last minute panic appointment, we were aware of him a long time before Howe, who would also most likely have done an excellent job, decided he wouldn’t come without his back up team

Not only is it likely that he would have been a Celtic manager at some point anyway, its far from certain that if we’d have wont he league that it wouldn’t have been this season. We had a manager who was brought in to win the ten but beyond that his qualifying record for the champions league didnt guarantee him the job after that was secured. We were so bad, each season that I don’t think it would have been allowed again.

Lets not forget how disastrous last season was, especially with all the accompanying talk of giving the huns a lifeline with the £100m champions league money that would follow. Newly emboldened we saw the huns back to their old ways. It was a god-awful season in the middle of a god-awful year. We turned on our own in a shocking way, the treatment of Lenny, and some of the attitudes and. behaviour will live long in the memory.

    So for me, no.

  4. !!Bada Bing!! on

Different eras i know,,but i think this is the most attacking Celtic team i have seen, Tommy’s team was against better IMO, but this is the here and now, amazing constant attacking football

  5. Jinkyredstar on

Sportscene quoting Malay McKay as manager of the year – they really are hurting

  6. what we did today, and our first half at home against “the old firm”.

can i dream of an absolute hun-skelping next sunday and / or the future home fixture.

6-2 was an ultimate in my lifetime but they died. , still not over the miseed opportunities when 5-1 and 4-0 up in brendan fixtures with 20 minutes to go.

get it done celtic, we never stop.

  7. Some people get off on Celtic fans suffering and anxiety. I’d much rather we didn’t ever give them their kicks

Eintracht Frankfurt gubbed Deidclub 6-1,6-3,12-4 agg

Was it that game? Seeing 6 put past them would have been nice.

Real beat them 7-3 in final.

    smashin’ thull hate that.

    Which is always good.

  13. i have been struggling for a wee while, in my head i keep mulling over, in playing style CCV reminds me of someone, the way he collects the ball, turns, and picks out those rangey , direct accurate passes, who is it , who is it.

i chatted with two irish men older than me, the tunnel at 139.

aye, they said “is it paul mcgrath ?”

    hmm, mibbies.

  14. All things being equal, which they aren’t, we should be playing sevco, hearts and motherwell at home and Ross county and dundee utd away.

Someone on TL suggests that’s just Maeda.

Alan at CBN done some stats on Maeda when we played oldfrim :-) Maeda ran more in that game than any player in Scottish history.

Points collected by both Celtic and ‘The Old Firm’ against opponents who made the top 6 so far this season:

    Celtic – 37 points

‘The Old Firm’ – 26 points

In fact, we’ve faced Hearts and United also in the cups and won both games.

  17. Talking of CCV, Spurs defence were excellent today in a difficult game at Gerrard’s Villa. He wont be getting in that team anytime soon when he returns.

With Jota’s form tailing off a bit since his injury the chances of both players being at Celtic for a rigorous pre-season and the opportunity to showcase their talents in the champions league must be pretty high.

I think Jota will be exceptional for us next season

  18. Personally looking forward to Maeda and Kyogo getting more game time together……absolute nightmare to play against…

  19. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣on my above post

  20. Its easy to forget how little our two best players in the first half of the season have contributed in the second.

We have an excellent squad at the start of its life here, no summer talk of players wanting away or running down their contracts to distract, everyone knowing they have to perform or they’ll not make the starting 11.

Nobody wants to go off injured, everyone is desperate to play.

    Shorties headline……..?

“Kyogo fails to score in controversial St Johnstone encounter”

    ——————————————————-

Or possibly, “Controversial penalty and late flurry gets Celtic out of jail.”

  22. polis have been called to a “domestic” in bongle.

some 40 year old living at his mammies hoose, has been refused entry to the abode by his irate father

who was seen using threatening behaviour brandishing a whistle and a sash and shouting

    “yir no son of mine”

  23. Looking forward to Huns dropping point(s) tomorrow then going out of Europe on thursday then losing to us in the cup semi on sunday

Turnbull got absolutely clobbered, on his ankle, ref decided not even a foul

He hobbled about for quite a few minutes

    Sitting down around the 88th

Think the bench told him to come off

Looked like he didn’t recover from the assault on his ankle

  26. glendalystonsils on

Been out all day and didn’t even know the score until I got in at 7.30 . Been gorging on Sportscene and reading reports of the game since then . Award for the best match report of all goes to BSR , always written with a poet’s pen .

  27. Newco/Sevco is now redundant.

When speaking about that mob it is indeed old firm FC now. What an utter embarrassment LOL.

Celtic 4 old firm 0 next Sunday.
