  1. grand National winner – some story. Jockey`s last ever ride, riding for his father, and wins it on a 50-1.

  2. Peaking nicely in the run in….

It’s almost like it’s part of some plan

Can we play the Sevvies 3 times at ibrox this season?

  3. INIQUITOUSIV

Great result for Celtic – it allowed me to focus my nervous energy on Vale.

Great result but awful 2nd half performance – couldn’t string 2 passed together – overall a fortunate win. But results are everything.

  4. IniquitousIV on

With Arsenal and Man U losing, this is a great opportunity for Kane, Son and Co.

  5. Back to us now. Anyone agree with me? Start O`Riley at Hampden? Other than that change and Kyogo, same team for me.

  6. IniquitousIV on

    GENE

The power of CQN has me as a Port Vale supporter now! Mansfield Town are a big threat. Both they and Exeter are keeping their challenge going.

  7. McPhail Bhoy on

Wow, just wow! O ye of little faith, talking about happy to settle for a nervy 1-0 win, mainly talking about me here!

    Wow, just wow!!

  8. Denia – we either start O’Riley or he comes on for Rogic. I’d be tempted to start him after his display today so long as he is ready for the whirlwind start there is likely to be.

That said Rogic loves Hampden and has the experience! Who’d be a manager?

  9. FAIRHILL BHOY

You really are the man for that gesture. Incredible. So excited for August.

Still to read back. Weekend chores, AC duct work to be cleaned, fun! A 7-0 has been coming, could have been double figures. Should have been rather.

  10. We can’t play Sevco three times away but Hearts, Dundee United or Motherwell are candidates.

  11. just back, what a day, what a performance.

    very funny guy on clyde,

if” the old firm” dont win tomorrow then the league is over.

when “the old firm” won the league last year.

they knew what he was doing, and dint let him back in.

  12. ROBERTTRESSELL – My gut feeling is Ange will start with Tom, for experience. I’d go with O’Riley. Think both of them will do us proud.

As far as a whirlwind start goes, I would not be surprised if newco start poorly and get worse. Just have a feeling that they are approaching “empty” on the fuel gauge. If they go out to Braga, the knives will be out.

  13. INIQUITOUSIV

A few weeks ago I’d have settled for a playoff spot – but now automatic promotion is a possibility.

Looking at the Celtic stats – looks as if it could have been 10

  14. IniquitousIV on

Neil Lennon’s Omonia lose 3-0 to Olympiakos in Cypriot League’s bottom 6 playoffs.

  15. PeterLatchfordsBelly on

Perfect performance. BBC hun commentator saying it could’ve been 15-0. She wasn’t exaggerating. Only neg was big GG. Hope he’s okay for next week.

What a team Ange has built. Full of human gems.

    SAINT STIVS

That was class,I am going to drop calling them Sevco and call them the Old Firm from here on in.

Might have to explain to the thickos in work though in case they don’t get it.

  17. Quite thirsty after that….’aff it’ for Lent so soft drink for celebrations as also had -2, -3,-4,-5 handicap for our win.

You could wax lyrical on our attitude, movement, flair, desire, togetherness, teamwork, technique, but, in the main it’s a crushing psychological blow for our rivals, their fans and the paid fans in the smsm-brilliant!

    7up time 😁🍀

  18. Just got home after dropping off the last of the passenger trio. It’s my tenth CP journey as chauffeur this season and means I don’t drive for the last three home games – yipee!!

We were discussing a last season v this season scenario during the journey.

Q: If you had to choose, would you rather have won 10iar last season over where we are this season?

I asked now because if we wait till the end of the season, hindsight would play a bigger part.

If we had won 10iar there would probably been no Ange & no Japanese Bhoys.

Would Joe Hart, Jota, CCV, or Starfelt be here? We would probably still ended up in this years Europa League/Conference.

This season we have a much stronger squad, great manager, the LC in the cabinet, one hand on the title, two games away from another treble and possibly direct qualification for the CL groups.

Given that no club can be successful 100% of the time – are we happy that our barren season, which robbed us of history(10iar), has actually allowed us to re-group & rebuild so very quickly?

All four of us said unequivocally said YES!

  19. on the downside, and one of those old maxims for football, you cant get all your signings rights.

that bhoy kyogo we brought on, hopless first touch,

    he wont make it.

  20. Deniabhoy – you could be right on both scores. Although I’m pretty sure back in August the zombies had a squad with two teams that could win the league!! That’s what the media were saying anyway. Where did they all go??

It will be interesting to see what they do on Sunday. If they start as they did last week and we are better on the ball we should get chances. If they decide to sit in and hit us on the break I think that works for us too.

I’m saying no more about next Sunday because I get very superstitious before Derby games. No tempting fate from me. A hard working, confident Celtic trusting in their own abilities is all I need to see.

  21. I spent a wee bit of the game 2nd half just watchin daizen and not even following the ball, there was a bit where he closed down at either side of the touchlines and the goalkeeper over about a minute, perpetual motion and the accelaration is unreal,

i was kind of happy that thier goalkeeper took a hammering, remember his time wasting and cheating last time at celtic park.

watched the goals again, i wonder if the beeb will show the full passing move for o’rileys goal, there must have been 40+ passes (well it felt like that)

shout out for the supporters today an awe, great turnout , great noise, huge positivity sll round, and some amout of irish in the js today, must have got the ferries early.

also taken by the statement sometime ago, that ange works his team to peak at seasons end, i have felt performances after we went out of europe have indeed got better and better.

i watched our game versus “the old firm” again this morning, on rerun we actually controlled all aspects of the game, sure they had a lot of the ball, but our deep defending was quite excellent, and even then we had 4 break aways that should have paid off at least once.

so many positives, and the sun is shining.

off for the chinese, see yas.

  22. JHB – interesting question. As long as you learn from them, life’s hardest lessons are the best and longest lasting I think. My kids (young adults) spent their entire teenage years not experiencing losing the league and probably no defeats to the Zombies. Maybe they/ we needed a taste of that. The bitterness certainly makes the current situation all the sweeter.

The darkest hours are just before the dawn as the song says.

  23. Fairhill bhoy.

Good man.Quality Celticness sorting out Aipple.if I may say.Enjoy remainder of your holidays.

  24. FAIRHILL BHOY….

YOU are my ” Man of the Match” Today for your kindness towards AIPPLE !

    Take a Bow young man.

    HH.

  25. Just back from my 20th drive to ‘CP’ this season. Hopefully, I can now ‘hit the beer’ for the next three ‘home games’. My 20 passengers all discussed how a team that were not coached could play so well. We thanked the individuals who played ‘off the cuff’ and helped us win 7 – 0.

    ‘Nuff said.’

  26. JHB

    Yip if your Auntie etc……

But I agree with you 100%, I will take this season over the ten all day long, cos we are just at the start of something special as long as Ange is backed.

  27. LAXALT @ 5:30 pm

Yes, I am overwhelmed by the volume of support fromthe CQN , am truly humbled

  28. My good lady just said “well you’ll be four happy old farts today”. I asked her to define “happy”, “old” & “farts”. She readily quipped on the first two, but passed on the last!
