    Well said, Kilbowie, my only caveat and I swear I’m not making this up now but I was surprised & disappointed early season to see Keatings & Toshney go out on loan. Apart from the under 20’s the only fit outfield player that didn’t make the squad today was Twardzik. I reckon 2 of the lads who did play Sammi & Brooney were not fully fit. Our resources are stretched at the moment particularly with competing at European level as well as SPL. If we are in Europe after Christmas we will need 2 or 3 extra players.

    I think it’s about time the players and management stopped making excuses for poor lethargic performances.

     

    If the players are tired rest them, if they are not motivated drop them.

     

    The idea that some players can’t motivate themselves unless it’s a big game is nothing more than an excuse for letting the fans down.

     

     

    Players can’t pick and chose the games they put their all into it, as soon as they get handed a jersey I expect 100%.

    I’m sick of saying it at this stage, look up the Official Site, Count the outfield players, subtract the injured and you are left with 17. Who of that 17 are not regularly involved, Paddy, Dylan, Imbrahim & Twardzik. All midfielders. There is very little scope for resting or rotating players unless you start playing the under 20 lads.

    Thoughts on today,

     

    Sammi still not fit ,Brooni still not fit ,Chrissi ,tried but his ersed was kicked up n doon,

     

    Rest of squad should have been enough to see off St Johnstone,but wee didn’t…

     

    ……think I’m going to throw myself off a cliff ..or I COULD GET A PERSPECTIVE

    In general I would agree with your comment!!!!…. Most on here presumably do not buy the rags, however their are Celtic Mhen out there that do….

     

     

    I think what I’m trying to say is the GB may be easily demonised by the succulent zombie lamb munchers.

    I agree with you but Celtic cannot state that due to customer satisfaction criteria. That is what I am courting honesty issues. Is it a genuine problem ? Do they suffer from the same as the fans. I.e cant get themselves up for a domestic home tie ?

     

     

    Is it management induced. Gives us a better tilt at 2nd phase qaulification while keeping the SPL alive as a spectacle ? A Rangers revival strategy ?

     

     

    I dont know myself but it is far from satisfactory.

    My suggestion for any players who are too tired or can’t motivate themselves for 2 games a week is to tell them they won’t play in the big game if it’s a problem.

     

     

    Performances like today can result in lower attendances due to fan lethargy. At the game today the person beside me couldn’t get anyone to take his son’s ticket an everyone he offered it to said they expected a poor performance after what happened after the last European nights.

     

    It’s not good that the excuse is already there before we even play.

     

     

    This time last year we were dropping points like mad as well and NL was under pressure.At least we know we should win the league and performances should pick up.

    How can you know what guff was on show today if you weren’t at the game?

     

     

    I spent a quiet minute thinking of loved ones too soon departed so for me the silence didn’t last long enough..

     

     

    Quite simply the attendance would have been much the same on any Winter Sunday afternoon and moreso after a midweek CL fixture that would have caused fans to have travelled far in midweek.

     

     

    And guess what. You weren’t missed.
