I see the usual po-faced moaners are out in force.
We have a very young team still getting to grips with fighting on two fronts. We’ve just had one of the greatest results in our history but the panic merchants want to wail about how terrible it is that we’re not about 10 points clear at the top of the league by early November.
Some people seriously need to come to grips.

Your assumption that the league is ours is stupid!
We are falling behind now.
Please tell me the games we will win and the opposition will lose to and so we eventually win the league.
We will win around 80% of our remaining matches. We will inevitably drop a few points in around a half-dozen games which will mostly be draws with a defeat or two. JUST. LIKE. TODAY!
We will win the title in April.
No other side in the SPL can match Celtic’s consistency when we hit a winning run; they have neither the finances nor squad quality to outlast us.
They will chew each other up in pursuit, going tit-for tat at taking points off each other.
That above is a summary which will in all likelihood play out. I hope it plays out against a backdrop of Champions League progression.
If it does, expect more dips in momentum like today as the team comes off high-tension, emotionally-draining weekday contests with the best in europe.
If you can’t handle that, the best I can offer is to advise shutting your eyes and ears and asking someone to poke you with a stick when we’re back to winning ways.

Barca threw on Pique, Villa & Fabregas against us, there is no comparison re depth in squad. For those advocating mass squad rotation for today, I again ask, name your team. I’m as disappointed as anyone we didn’t get the 3 points today but I was realistic enough to know we would struggle and will continue to struggle until we get 3 or 4 more established players fit again.
Lenny has said players are exhausted, make sure every last one of them is pulled from international duty.
6 from 12 is unacceptable and for me it all comes down to attitude, other CL teams dont struggle as we do afterwards, maybe the jump in class from spl is a factor but the bittom line we shoukdnt be dropping 4 points in two games to st johnstone.
As a side issue, Kris Commons showed off some tattoo work undertaken on Friday over what i woukd estimate to be at least 4 hours of work. From personal experience that would have a massive physical impact on the body…..not the best idea.
Anyway, onwards to what will be fantastic atmosphere at Pittodrie……..and well played again, Tony Watt…..more desire and bravery shown today.

What a support, Jekyll and Hide (not mis-spelt). Vast areas of empty stands that were packed midweek is a sad sight.
I just can’t fathom some of our fans out. As soon as St Johnstone came in to it they found their snide, negative voices, beforehand they’d been quiet. Wailing at Brown, then Mulgrew anyone they could vent their wee frustrations at.
Samaras was getting abuse for being “6’6 and losing a header” and if “you’re no interested get tae !*!*” both came from one clown. All directed at the same guy who played with an ankle injury on Wednesday.
Petulance, arrogance and ignorance in abundance all counter-productive.
There is nothing certain in life and we do have improve our league form.
My question to you was are we capable of going on a run of games unbeaten that will see us win the league.
I think we do not just based on capability but on proven capability.
My evidence last year.

ernie this has to be my last post as I have to go out, but I’m not quite sure whether we are at cross purposes or not. If you look at Club website you will see circa 23 outfield players listed, 6 of them are out injured, leaving you with 17 now in a normal game you would use 13 , so there are only 4 players totally unused, probably MCCourt, Imbrahim , Twardzik & McGeouch up to today. Now I know there are under 20 players there but overall we do have enough fit players for any kind of meaningful squad rotation. That is the only point I am trying to make. Sorry got to go, will take it up with you some other time if you are interested.

We will win the league but as season ticket holders we deserve better on the bread and butter stuff.
I wouldn’t like to see an under 20 team out, but today was crying out for a good mix of experience and youth. Dylan, ibrahim and fillip could have started but then again i’m not nfl.
It will come good in the sphell, but sooner rather than later would be good particularly if you’re travelling a distance to support the bhoys. Never too far to see the bhoys mind.

The club is playing a lot of football particularly the high pressure games in the Champions league. Both games against against mighty Barcelona and the massive occasion on Wednesday night were hugely draining – I’m still suffering the after affects myself ffs – just look at a hardbitten dude like Rod Stewart bawling his f….n eyes out.
We have a mounting injury problem which is not helping Neil’s team selections. Any word on Tony Stokes and let’s not forget that Skokesy as well as scoring goals also created a fair amount of assists. Not to worry we have a good team and can get back to winning ways next weekend.

While I know we can’t assume we’ll win the game in hand but if we do we’re a point clear. If the trade off for doing far better than I’d expected in othe CL is a tighter league race then I’ll take that every time. Do you think any of the teams will open a 15 point gap? I seem to recall that being closable before.
