Most positive feature of tonight was confident and physically dominant performance from Dedryck Boyata. Displayed none of the tentative nervous passing from last season.

I think he has been our most important player for some time; when he plays, the whole team plays.
I hate to say it, but MD is another like that – can lift the whole team when he is on song.

I know just thought they are getting home quickly and had no time for anything else, anyway their plane is late still about 2 hours from Glasgow.

As I said in an earlier post. Dembele and Boyata will still be Celtic players this Saturday. Just like new signing and all will be forgiven.
Lustig hasn’t been the player he was at Celtic and I half thought he’d have a torrid time at the WC but he did pretty well.
Boyata did as well, but that was against Panama, Tunisia and a 2nd string English side who didn’t look too bothered.
Fickle lot.
Be realistic tonight we played a poor team who allowed time and space.
It will have boosted confidence in both the players, perhaps more importantly, the two edged sword that is the Celtic support.
I notice a few actually commenting on Boyata’s performance tonight. He has actually been playing well for several months.

Reading around the Celtic blogs tonight it seems Lustig is now the reason for most of our woes.
He did not do much wrong tonight and his side of the field particularly in first was where our best chances originated.
Yet many people saying he was rotten?
We supporters are fickle and prone to jumping on to the bandwagon.
He is definitely showing age but i love his mad character in a game which is becoming devoid of individualism.

Well that was a very good performance, particularly in the 2nd half. Sinclair looks to be getting more confidence and comfortable on th ball.
Boyata and Ntcham strolled it tonight. French Eddie and Dembele ready and rested for Sunday. A few players in tomorrow and none of the main squad out and I’ll be happy. I see we have a solution for CH so a RB will be a great addition as well.
I’ll be online early on Saturday selling humble pie for all the trolls and doom mongers. £1 a slice with all profits to St Mary’s. ?
